SWEDISH BEGINNER I (This class will be offered in July/August session. The registration is already open for this class.)
This class will meet on Wednesdays from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. It will start on July, 5th.
Discover the culture and language of,
by its own definition, one of the greenest and most gender egalitarian

Course covers basic conversational Swedish plus the fundamentals of
grammar to advance toward fluency. We also discuss Swedish pop culture,
such as the hit series, Wallander (available on netflix) and Sweden's successful design industry that includes advertising, fashion as well as furniture.
Our German instructor will be in Europe for the whole summer and won't be able to teach, but she will be back at the end of August. We will be offering German classes in September/October session.
German I is intended for complete beginners who have no previous or
limited knowledge of German. Oral comprehension is emphasized through
group discussions and interactive exercises. Grammar structures are an
integral part of the language learning experience and basic elements
will be worked on to be acquired. Students in this class will learn how
to talk about themselves, their interests, hobbies and families as well
as express how to order food and drink and get around in the target

This class is recommended for students who have studied German for a
brief period of time and/or have visited Germany on a few occasions.
Vocabulary, grammar and oral proficiency is emphasized. Additionally
students will explore German culture, history and geography.
