Student acceptance speech for a high school drawing contest

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my teachers for giving me this award, my parents for always supporting and encouraging me, and my friends for always being there for me. Most of all, I am so happy that my talent has been recognized.
As everyone has a hobby, drawing used to be my only hobby. However, as I entered my senior year, I gradually had less and less time to draw because I was concentrating on my school work. As this situation continued, I became strangely distracted from my studies and secretly stressed out. I also wondered what I really wanted. I wondered if I would be happy if I concentrated on my studies and got into a good university.
My parents saw that I was struggling, and they were worried, so I told them what I was worried about. I thought they would scold me for telling them, but instead they supported me, and they said, “You should follow what you’re interested in and what you like.
You know, what you’re interested in and what you like to do might end up being good for you. You have to do what you’re interested in to make progress. If you force yourself to do something you have no interest in, you may not be able to do it for long. You’re a student now, so studying is your priority, but if you can’t draw and it’s stressing you out, maybe you should try drawing. We believe in you.
My parents encouraged me to find time to draw, and my teachers were also very supportive when they noticed my hobby. They took a lot of interest in my drawings and gave me a lot of advice when they saw my finished work. Without the help of my parents and teachers, I might not have been able to win the prize. Their attention and advice gave me confidence, and I didn’t neglect my studies and organized my time to keep painting, and I think I got good results as a result.
However, I will not be complacent just because I won the prize, I will study and draw even harder, and I will be a person who works steadily without being complacent. Once again, I thank my teachers for giving me this prize, and I will be a person who works steadily without being complacent.

Winner’s remarks at the Para-skills Competition Award Ceremony

I would like to thank you for giving me such a precious award today. Although I have a disability, I love painting, and I have lived with painting all my life, so this award gives me more strength and encouragement than any other award I have ever received.
Ever since I was a little girl, my dream was to be a painter. Since I was in kindergarten, I would always write “painter” in my future plans. In elementary school, I won many prizes in school competitions. But when I was fifteen, I lost my right arm and left hand to an amputator while helping out at home. That’s when my misfortune began. I lost the will to live and locked myself in my room and wouldn’t come out.
A few months later, my mother showed me a postcard. It was a beautifully drawn postcard of a girl singing, and she told me that the person who drew it had the same disability as me, that she had feet and lips even though she didn’t have hands.
That gave me new hope, and from that day on, I practiced drawing with a pencil in my toe. It wasn’t easy, of course, and there were dozens of times when I cried and wished I had hands, and there were times when I drew with tears in my eyes.
To this day, I still draw. Even though my speed is a fraction of what it was when I was fifteen, and the time it takes me to draw each piece is painful, I’m thrilled just to be able to draw.
They say that art is the soul of the artist, and I think of all the paintings I’ve done. Even though my paintings are nothing compared to the masterpieces, they contain my hard work, sweat, and tears, the sum total of my soul, and that’s why this award today brings me unparalleled joy and hot tears. I realize that it’s not important to arrive quickly, but to reach the destination. What a long time has passed from that sad and cruel 15-year-old to 50 today.
I am grateful for this day, which has turned my life around and brought me back to painting. Finally, I would like to thank my mother for helping me through those difficult times. Love and gratitude to my wife for accepting me as a husband when I was always lacking, and to my daughter, the most adorable girl in the world.

Student Invention Competition Winner’s Statement

When I heard my name called, I doubted my ears for a while, because I didn’t expect to win. First of all, I would like to thank you all for choosing my invention out of a very strong field of entries.
Sometime last year, the school newspaper came to interview me, and even then, I was still the nerdy kid who locked himself in the science lab during recess to invent. When asked by the student reporter what I thought an invention was, I replied.
“A fun idea that changes the world.”
That thought still holds true today. Ideas can come from the smallest of places, and that’s where the journey of creating something fun begins. Small ideas make the world a much more interesting place.
I don’t think I’ve invented anything big, all I’ve done is change the way we think a little bit. All I’ve done is questioned a truth in the world that everyone takes for granted. And that’s why today’s competition felt like a little bit of a breakthrough for me, because I forgot what I came here for, and I was just mesmerized by the world that you’ve created. I was just lost in the whimsy and the wonder of it all. The things I’ve always thought about, the things I’ve always struggled with, were right here, and I’m both grateful and embarrassed that this competition, which I’m so happy and honored to have participated in, has rewarded me with such an undeserved prize.
I believe that boredom is a vice, and my little inventions to inject fun into the world and energize it are a reflection of that. I dream of a world where things are not just cookie-cutter, but different and unique. My room will always be lit up late at night and my mind will always be dreaming of tomorrow, so that small differences can bring us great fun and comfort. I hope I can continue to live my life as an inventor, and I hope to be an inventor in the future. I will take the award I received today as a milestone and work harder and harder. Thank you.

Comments from the winners of the flower arrangement contest award ceremony

Spring has arrived in my life. After a long winter, the long bonds of winter have finally been broken, and today is spring. All my life, I thought winning awards was something far from me, and now I understand why people standing on the podium are so overwhelmed, why they are so speechless, why they just catch their breath.
I’ve always believed that people resemble whatever they’re around, and that’s how I got into flower arranging, because of the beauty and freshness of flowers. When I started out, I thought I just had to arrange flowers to make people look good, but it’s not that simple, as I’ve learned over the years. I learned that it requires a sense of color, an understanding of form, and more than anything else, harmony with the whole.
Today, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the city of Tokyo for offering advanced flower arrangement courses to housewives like me at an affordable price. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to the teacher, Mr. ○○○, a florist. She was always kind and detailed in her explanations and guidance, even in the face of frequent questions from students with limited understanding.
In the past, when spring came, I didn’t know it was spring, so I was indifferent to the season outside my window and indifferent to myself. However, having a cherished hobby has sensitized me to the seasons. Seeing the beautiful flowers that bloom in each season has made me appreciate my own beauty. Looking around me, today is a truly beautiful spring day. The sunlight is breaking through like a stream of water, and flowers of all kinds are blooming. It’s the perfect time of year for my favorite fresh yellow freesias to bloom. It feels like spring has finally sprung in my life, and this award means a lot to me. It’s like a license to dream, a license to grow new fruits of my life with this precious hobby.
Now I have a new dream: I want to move beyond flower arranging, and after I finish my floristry classes, I want to open a small flower shop, where I can make my life as beautiful as the flowers are. I am the happiest flower in the world right now. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to dream again.

Winner of the High School Book Discussion Competition Award Ceremony

First of all, I would like to thank you for giving me the top prize, which is far more than I deserve. For me, reading was not a chore, but rather a joyful duty. Due to my father’s job, I had to move frequently during my elementary school years, which left me with relatively little time to interact and socialize with my peers. From then on, wherever I was in a strange place, I would read, trying to understand the message the author was trying to convey.
I think I owe some of my undeserved honors today to those days when I was a soft-spoken, shy elementary school student who loved to sit still and read. The habit of reading, which fills so much of my life, is now more than just a favorite or a hobby; it’s my teacher.
Many of my peers today consider books to be a boring medium, and as a book reader, a friend once told me that he couldn’t understand why anyone would go to the trouble of reading a book when there is an ocean of information on the internet, but this notion is wrong. In the 21st century, there is no other medium that can contain the kind of carefully curated and refined information that books can. The information on the internet is vast, but not all of it is quality. Books, which have been thoroughly vetted and edited, and which take a long time to reach the reader, have shaped my worldview.
Through literature and philosophy, I’ve seen the diversity and profundity of human beings; through science books, I’ve witnessed the progress of technology and the endless development of humanity; through self-improvement books, I’ve thought about how to manage myself; through essay books, I’ve learned to live a life of leisure and to cherish the simple things in life.
I don’t think I debated well today – there were many people who were much more logical and eloquent than me – but I do know that Dadok is nourishing my soul, a teacher who illuminates my imperfect and ignorant world.
I will not become arrogant with the award I received today, but I will strive to live my life with more critical and logical thinking and attitude in the future. I will continue to question and explore everything until I become an adult, beyond my student days. I would like to end my speech by saying that I love my parents, who were watching anxiously. I bow my head once again and thank you for this undeserved award.

Marathon Award Winner’s Statement

Hello, it’s been a long time since I started running marathons, but they are still categorized as hard for me. Unlike other sports such as tennis or golf, it’s not something I enjoy, but rather a discipline that teaches me patience.
It’s a strange sport: it starts like a gunshot, and then you don’t hear anyone else’s footsteps or breathing, and suddenly you can’t see anything in front of you or behind you, and you feel like you’re running alone in the dark when you’re pushing yourself to the limits of your body, and then you realize that your opponent, your biggest enemy, is not the other runner in front of you, but your own weak mind, which is exhausted after a hard fight and wants to drop to its knees and give up.
Even though it’s a half marathon, there are still tens of thousands of thoughts running through my head during this race. I’m out of breath and I want to stop, but I pour cold water over my head and push through. At some point, I forget about the number of places I’ve finished and my only goal is to finish. That’s what happened this time, too. I didn’t even dare to dream about first place, I was only thinking about the last image of myself cutting the finish tape, so it feels even better to finish first. But as I said before, in a marathon, it doesn’t matter where you finish. In the rest of the world, there’s a big difference between first and second place, but here, everyone who finishes is first. Anyone who wins the battle with themselves is first place, so I want to share the honor of today with you.
For those of you who finished, there’s a lot to take away from today’s race. For me, I couldn’t have endured the job loss that came my way a few years ago if it weren’t for the perseverance I learned from marathons. I’ve always been able to think positively because I won the battle with myself.
Marathons will always be a cherished hobby of mine, not just for running, but for beating myself, and I hope today’s marathon was an inspiration and lesson for you as well. I promise that I will become a beautiful person who knows how to control herself and a healthy local citizen in mind, body, and spirit. Today is indeed a day of joy and rejoicing. Thank you for listening to me, and I would like to conclude my acceptance speech.

Winners of the Friendship Award Ceremony

I can’t believe that I am the winner of such a meaningful award, especially since I don’t remember showing much kindness to my friends during the camp. I think all of my friends in the dorm who have been good competitors and encouraged each other deserve this award, so I would like to share it with all of them.
I am lucky enough to have participated in this competition. Today, as the competition ends, I learn a lot. I learn how to compete, but with a clean mind, not to criticize or hate, and I learn the camaraderie of walking the same path with each other.
I also met so many nice people. Being close in age, we bonded easily and soon became supportive and concerned for each other. There was also one of the most emotional moments of the camp. My coworker, who was closest to me, was having a tantrum. She had lost all of her toiletries, and I could only imagine how sad she must have been. I quickly held out my towel, and as soon as I turned around, I saw countless hands reaching out to me, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo. We looked at each other and smiled at the warmth of each other’s hearts. These moments and memories will always be beautiful jewels in my life, beautiful jewels that I look at and look at, and they’re even more precious and beautiful because they come from my dorm mates and no one else. These memories will be a comfort and a milestone for me when I get tired of people in my life and thirsty for relationships.
I am grateful for the love of my friends who have already given me the priceless prize of friendship, which is like a prize for learning and happiness. I promise to embrace all things in the world with love and friendship in the future, so as not to disappoint my friends who have touched me with their smallest kindnesses and who have seen my inadequacies. Now that the competition is over, we are no longer competitors, but friends of the same age and with the same memories. I hope that the friendships we have made in this competition will not be temporary and short-lived, but long-lasting. I still can’t believe that this trophy belongs to me, I will live even harder so that I won’t be ashamed in front of this trophy, thank you.

Letter Writing Competition Award Winner’s Statement

Hello, I can’t tell you how many tears I shed on my way to this award ceremony. This award is especially embarrassing because my mother, the recipient of this letter, is no longer in this world. Her body, which was so strong in raising us six siblings, is now a handful of ashes. My mother has gone to heaven with a heavy burden of this life.
Still, I am deeply grateful for this competition. Never in her life did she ever write a letter from the heart, and every Mother’s Day, she collected the letters that she forced herself to write. In the center of her drawer, she had a stack of photos of us and those letters. It’s a small comfort to know that the most recent letter she received was from me.
It’s no secret that love is only meaningful when it’s expressed, but it’s not always easy for those of us who have been taught that it’s a virtue not to show our emotions. My mother had a hard time expressing her feelings to her son, too. At best, she’d sit him down in front of her and he’d stutter at a loss for words.
For someone like me, letters are an incredibly grateful tool. I was able to put into words the love that I couldn’t quite get out of my mouth. I was happy to be able to convey my love to my mother through letters. I read the letter to her at her bedside before she passed away. As the letter progressed, both my mother and I would get teary-eyed. I cried for a long time and then hugged my mother, glad to be able to put my arm around her small, frail shoulders. How much would I have regretted not having this letter, a lifetime of love and penance?
I would like to take this opportunity to pray that more people will write letters. I hope that you will put your beautiful hearts into letters, and that your sincerity, love, and concern will reach the people you care about with warmth.
I have written many letters since that time. My heartfelt letters to my wife and children have become the centerpiece of my family’s harmony and love. I promise myself that I will write many more letters in the future.
Thank you for introducing me to the joy of writing letters. Thank you for giving me such a meaningful prize for my inadequacies. I would like to dedicate this prize to the memory of my beloved mother.

Thank you from the winner of the competition

Thank you. Dear friends, When I received the call from the ○○ Association, I doubted for a moment whether I was dreaming. If it was a dream, I hoped it would never wake up. I can’t believe that I am the recipient of such a great award.
There’s something my dad has always emphasized since I was a kid, and that’s that if you work tirelessly towards your dreams, one day you’ll make them come true. His words have always stuck with me and are a great source of inspiration. It’s also a life lesson that he practiced himself, from being a barber’s assistant to owning his own barbershop.
Under his influence, I used to promise myself to be a person who strives for a better tomorrow rather than settling for the present, because he believes that true success is to spare no effort to be the best in one’s position, even if it is a small dream in the eyes of others. Therefore, I believe that this award is given to me by my father in heaven, and I feel that I have become a son who is not ashamed to be seen by my father, and I have become an even more honorable son to him.
Mr. ○○’s great teaching has also played a big role in my receiving this award, and I am grateful that I can be one of your proud disciples, as I have been a poor disciple until now. You have always told me to be humble in my work, and it is through you that I have learned the power to be humble in front of the big mountain of art. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you with a big bow. Please continue to teach me well so that I can go on the right path.
This award will inspire me to work even harder on my work, but I still have a long way to go. In life, which is like a long marathon, I will not give up, and I hope you will help me to complete it successfully. That concludes my remarks. Thank you, everyone, for your congratulations.

Winner’s comments from the local pageant awards ceremony

I’m honored to be chosen among such a strong field of candidates, and I feel sorry for the other contestants. I also see the faces of many people who helped me get to this point. There are too many people to name, and I want to say thank you to all of them.
The truth is, beauty pageants have been criticized a lot lately. I’m aware of the outrageous claims and the ugly stares that they commodify and degrade female sexuality and beauty. However, I believe that the purpose of a pageant like this is not to number women’s beauty, but to recognize the best ambassadors of a community.
I’m not exceptionally beautiful, nor do I have a lot of talent, and I think the judges chose me because they saw beauty in my dedication and ability to take action. Again, I’m not the most beautiful candidate here, and I’m certainly not going to be the most beautiful person in our region, but I can tell you that as a native of the region, I want to see the development of our region more than anyone else, and I can promise you that I will take responsibility for promoting our region’s specialties.
So as I stand here today, this trophy and crown weighs heavily on me. Because I know that this beautiful award is not just a shining honor for one woman, but a sign of a firm promise. I stand before you and I promise again. I will never be vanity or arrogance by receiving this award today, but I will work hard to improve the image of the region and promote its specialties. I will first think about how I can give back to the region as much as the honor I have received. I will live a life of dedication.
As I stand here today, I suddenly think of Audrey Hepburn. Her beauty shone in a series of films that she called her own golden age, but it was her dedication and philanthropy that made her a revered actress in later years – her ability to care for and love the hungry. If nothing else, I will work hard to be recognized for my passionate and dedicated advocacy, and I will do my best to repay you for voting for me, thank you again.

Housewife Model Awards Winner’s Testimonials

Hello everyone, I’m almost embarrassed that I’m not worthy of this award among such great nominees. Thank you all for giving me such a great award. In my dream last night, my late mother came out and hugged me tightly, probably dreaming that I would receive this honor today. She told me that I should do what I am good at and live my life as a master of the world. I think she would be proud to see me in heaven today.
I got married earlier than most people, and ever since I had my first child, I’ve been muttering under my breath, “It’s too late, it’s wrong.” Modeling has been a longtime dream of mine since elementary school, but too many years have passed for me to pursue it. I was too old to be a model, and my circumstances were not good, so when I saw an ad for housewife models and applied, I hardly thought I could become one. But today I realized that courageous challenges increase the chances of success. The kids and the housework were all just excuses, excuses I gave myself because I was too scared to start again. The important thing is to start, because from the moment you start, which can be any time, life opens up and shows you new miracles.
Hopefully, I can be an inspiration and a catalyst for housewives who are in the same situation as me right now to pursue their long-held dreams. I want to tell everyone who isn’t taking the plunge that it’s never too late to make your dreams come true, so spread your wings.
I am deeply grateful to ○○ Corporation for giving me the opportunity to start over and challenge myself. I promise to do my best as a model to make the company more prosperous through commercials. I will do my best to be a better and more dignified mother to my child. Finally, I would like to dedicate this honor to my husband and child, and to my mother, who is always watching over me from heaven. Thank you, everyone, for listening.

Winning the drawing contest

Hello, Principal and teachers of ○○ High School, thank you so much for giving me this award. I am very happy that this award has brought me closer to my goal.
Drawing has been an object of interest to me since I was a child, and my only hobby, so whenever I had free time, I would sneak away to sketch and paint, and it was my only solace in the midst of the entrance examination competition and the rigorous school work. However, before this award, I only had a vague fondness for drawing, but I never thought I had any talent for it.
Before today’s award ceremony, I would always think long and hard about what I was going to do next. On the day of the competition, I was just happy to be able to draw, and I immersed myself in my drawings as usual, expressing and doing what I’ve always wanted to express. I didn’t have any expectations of winning the prize, I just enjoyed the moment of drawing, and now that I’ve won such a big prize, I’m so grateful.
In fact, my parents weren’t too pleased with my passion for painting, and I think they were worried whenever they saw me immersed in it, especially now that I’m still studying for the SATs after my friends are done with school to go to college. But when I told them about the award today, they realized that I have something to offer, and they told me to think twice about my career path. If I had been an upperclassman in high school, it would have been a bit late, but since I am currently a freshman in high school, I feel fortunate to have discovered my talent so soon. First and foremost, I would like to thank my homeroom teacher for her encouragement. She realized early on that I had an interest and passion for drawing. She didn’t tell me to focus on my studies rather than painting, but rather told me to take time to do what I wanted to do and develop my abilities further.
Now I dream of being a great painter, but I will never stop studying or stop working on my painting just because I won this award. Now that my goals are more clear, I will work harder on my painting and learn more about it.
I hope there will be more events like this in school in the future, and I hope that other students will take this opportunity to recognize their talents and have clearer goals. Once again, I would like to thank you for giving me this award, and I will work harder to make sure that this award is not in vain.

Winning author of the fairy tale contest

It still feels like a dream, I was dumbfounded for a while when I got the call that I won. I doubted a few times if this was a dream. If it is a dream, it must be the happiest dream, and fortunately, I am standing here today.
I have so many people to thank today. First, I would like to thank my parents for believing in me through the difficult days leading up to this day. Thank you to my friends who supported me whenever I felt like breaking my pen in poverty, and to my professors who scolded me for my inadequacies.
On this joyous day, the day I was recognized as a storyteller, I suddenly remember my childhood. When I think about it, fairy tales were my escape as a child. My house was as poor as any other in the neighborhood, and the world I saw was all gray: princesses in flowing dresses, princes on white carriages. It wasn’t until I was in a fairy tale that I saw pinks, blues, and beautiful colors. That’s how all the colors came to me. I learned color and beauty and dreams not from crayons, but from fairy tales. Fairy tales were the comfort of my childhood, the nourishment of my childishness. My hope is that children will find comfort in the stories I write, and that they will be able to spread their wings, just as I did when I was a child.
I want to capture the sky, the colors, and the wider, more beautiful world in my stories. I want to keep my childlike wings, but I know I’ll have to keep my child’s heart the whole time, to keep my adult, greedy mind out of the way. I want to remain an old child and write at the level of children, because words written with an adult’s heart and admonition do not touch children. I want to live a long life with Peter Pan on my pen, writing fairy tales that never grow old. I want to meet many children and see many beauties in the world so that my childlike wings will not be broken. Once again, thank you for giving me this honor. As I said before, today’s award has made me realize that I am a fairy tale writer, and I will strive to write more beautiful fairy tales in the future. This concludes my greetings, and I thank you.
