We’ve put together a collection of congratulatory speech examples for those who have been elected by the voters in an election. These examples are designed to help winners of all kinds of elections express their feelings and aspirations in a way that is heartfelt and expresses their gratitude and promises for the future. They’re a great resource for anyone who wants to congratulate themselves on a successful election and prepare an authentic congratulatory speech.
Mayor-elect’s greeting
I know it’s only polite to go door-to-door and thank each and every one of you, but I’d like to thank you in writing first. I would like to bow down and thank you for the overwhelming support you gave me during this election. I will never forget that this is not a victory for me, but for our constituents and supporters, and I ask for your continued interest, support, and advice to help me fulfill the great task ahead.
As I prepared for this election, I felt like a raindrop. Raindrops collectively become small streams, which become rivers, which become rivers, which become rivers, and finally reach the ocean. You have empowered me to take my small efforts and turn them into the big ocean that is our city. I think it is because of the opportunity you have given me that I am able to stand in this position, and I will work hard so that I can confidently tell you about my parliamentary activities a year from now. I am a person who is lacking in many ways, so I cannot be perfect, but I will strive for perfection, so please look at me with love.
“Now is the time to work. Now is the time to fight. Now is the time to make myself a better person. If I can’t do it today, can I do it tomorrow!” is a quote from ‘Thomas à Kempis’ that I can’t emphasize enough. Now is the time to do what I envisioned in my head.
Do you remember my campaign slogan, “A healthy city, a healthy administration?” I believe that health is the first step in creating an environment where you can better devote yourself to your duties. By restoring clean ecological rivers, building bike lanes, expanding restrooms in parks, and creating a culture of clean and comfortable restrooms, I will create a healthy environmental city. I will endeavor to fulfill my promise to create a healthy city where you can fully enjoy a clean environment. I will start now and act now with the idea that if we don’t achieve it today, we won’t be able to do it tomorrow. With your active participation and interest and the dedicated efforts of public officials, the history of our city will be rewritten.
If we all work together, we will be able to create the luxury city we dream of. In closing, to repay you for your faith in me and your generous support, I will always strive to be the best mayor by your side. I will run around with my feet on fire, and I hope you will continue to support me. I would like to thank you again for voting for me, who is lacking in many ways, and wish you all the best for your development and health.
Governor-elect speech
Honorable and beloved citizens, I have once again earned your trust today. I sincerely thank you for making such a great choice. I am deeply honored by the trust you have placed in me, but when I think about the reality of our city, I feel a heavy responsibility and a great sense of mission.
We must break the cycle of discrimination and marginalization. The overwhelming support you gave me in this election is your mandate to change our destiny and create a new city that will take a giant leap forward. It is now my sole duty to carry out your mandate without fail. I will expand eco-friendly agriculture and livestock farming, foster future high-tech industries, and balance development among the four regions to bring back the era of 2 million people. I will make our city stand out in the world by successfully hosting international events such as the Expo and the F1 international auto racing competition. I will improve investment conditions so that more companies will come to our city and create good jobs. I will spare no effort in body and soul to ensure that our descendants will have a hopeful future in our righteous and holy land.
I will repay the trust you have placed in me by faithfully fulfilling the promises I have made to you. I will transform the city from a land of poverty and marginalization into a land of abundance and prosperity. I will do everything in my power to ensure that the politics of reform and hope will win the 2023 presidential election. I will dedicate myself to the development of the city during my term. I believe that when you cast your precious votes for me, each and every one of them, you did so for a reason: you rightly thought that I was the best person to lead the city. I will try not to offend your faith, and I will show you with actions, not words. I will not be a governor who talks the talk. Trust me and watch the city develop. By the end of my term, you will be able to see that progress with your own eyes. Thank you very much for your faith in me.
President-elect of the Athletic Association
Hello everyone, I’d like to start off by saying that I’m embarrassed to be president. However, rather than meeting and feeling burdened with qualifications, I know that I should try to do whatever I can for you now and for a healthy tomorrow in the region. Our city has had many private organizations and private athletic associations, but the power of a unified athletic association has been too weak. Many people thought that the Athletic Association was just a name and that it existed without doing anything. The first thing I will do when I take this position will be to solve and think about the current issues of local sports so that our Athletic Association can get out of the limelight.
One of the things I’ve heard from local athletes is that the city doesn’t invest enough in sports. When I looked into it, I was surprised to find that the actual salaries of municipal sports athletes and coaches are ridiculously low compared to other cities, and the scholarship policy to nurture and encourage local talent is very weak. Hearing their voices, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders.
I know that physical education goes hand in hand with health. They say that a healthy body is a healthy mind, and I am determined to make our region healthy, to breathe new life into our region. We need to be different from yesterday, and I promise to bring a new paradigm to our athletic association and to run for the revival of athletics. To do so, I need your help. Please give me your golden advice that you have been working for the region. For the sake of the region’s tomorrow, let’s run together. A single step is worth a thousand words, so let’s start talking about our steps and where we’re headed.
Greetings from the mayor-elect
Thank you, everyone. You have chosen me. I am humbled and thrilled. I think you chose me out of all those candidates because, first and foremost, you want to see our city change and move forward, and you want to have hope, and you want to see our country renewed, and you want to see our Korea stand upright.
The way things are going these days, there’s nothing to smile about in our political and economic society. As you all know, the central market in our city used to be the centerpiece of my hometown. I have fond memories of my childhood in the central market. I remember the bustling alleyways, the shouting of the vendors, the hustle and bustle of the shoppers, and the aunts and grandmothers with their wares for sale. I can still see them sitting around, chatting and telling stories. Our hometown was a city full of life. It wasn’t a big city, but it was a greasy city with a glow. But what about now? There are no people in the market, the alleyways of the market where you couldn’t walk past without bumping shoulders are empty. Why is this? They say our city’s population is shrinking. The dream of a vibrant tourist city that citizens had hoped for is gradually losing its luster, despite many efforts. Why? Whether it’s a result or a cause, the declining population is sapping the vitality of our local economy.
The national economy is tough right now, and the local economy is even tougher. I’m saddened to see my hometown, where I was born and raised, where my friends and elders before and after me live, losing its vibrancy, and now I want to do something about it. Our city needs change now. It needs a springboard to rise again. Won’t you help me? I will never go back on my word. But revitalizing the local economy is not an easy task. It’s not a one-man show. I know that many people, including civic organizations, are working hard, but we all need to step up. Reform is a lonely, uphill battle, and it’s difficult unless many people come together.
I want to be the kind of person who keeps his promises, even the smallest ones. I don’t have a glamorous career to show off, or a strong guardian, but I’ve always done my best wherever and whenever I’ve been, and I’ve built trust with my younger and older colleagues by sharing the hard work. I will put everything I have into the development of the region, and I will work hard to help revitalize the local economy. In closing, I would like to thank all of you who braved the chilly weather to come out and cheer me on. I truly appreciate it.
Reflections on being elected Mountain Club Leader
It’s been 10 years since we were founded, and I’d like to thank all of the previous leaders and all of the officers on behalf of the members for their hard work. There are many people who are far better than me, and many people who are more prestigious in society, but I am very grateful that you have chosen me. Although I am far too inadequate to serve as the leader of the Mountain Club, I have accepted the position with confidence in your support.
I believe that the deep roots of our mountain club have been established in such a short period of time because each and every one of our members has participated in our mountain club with the utmost sincerity. It’s a bit overwhelming to think that I will be leading such a strong organization. I am worried about how much I will be able to repay the expectations of the members who elected me as their leader. However, I believe that in order to make a leap to a more advanced mountain club, we will only be able to leap to the next level with the loving advice and active participation of the members. We cannot achieve anything without the help of many members. Our mountain club is led by all members together, so I ask for your unwavering love and interest this year.
As many of you know, the past year has seen many changes in our organization, including the completion of our long-awaited website and the recruitment of many new members through the Internet. Due to the sudden increase in the number of new members, we appointed a climbing advisor and added two deputy climbing captains, and sent them to a regular climbing school to complete their training, so that they can be more safe in the mountains. Our organization has been growing steadily step by step with your love, and I would like to thank all the previous leaders and executives who have made it possible for us to be where we are today, thanks to our internal and external development and growth. Moving forward, it’s up to me to take on this responsibility. I know I lack a lot, but I love and care about this organization more than anyone else, so I will make up for it with hard work. I don’t want the organization to be led by a few, but by all of us here today, senior and junior alike, interested, engaged, and climbing the mountain together. I know you will extend a warm hand and guide me when I struggle.
Members, you know well, the first week of every month is the regular meeting day of the Mountain Society. Let’s try to make it a time to get together and have a chat and enjoy friendship as we train our minds and bodies by visiting famous mountains all over the country. Then, I would like to thank you all once again for voting for me and wish you an accident-free year of mountain climbing.
President-elect thank you
Hello everyone, first of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your vote for me to be your group leader. As I realized during the selection process, there are a lot of unique people here, and they all have great abilities hidden in their personalities. Despite that, I promise to work harder because you voted me as your representative. I also promise to make all of you who voted for me feel proud.
I dare to make one promise. We will always be the group that takes the first step and forges ahead. Of course, that doesn’t mean I’ll be the only one flying solo, and I’ll need your support and enthusiasm because it’s hard work. I will always listen to the voices of our members, and I will do my best to lead the way for our goals. A little background on myself: I’ve been a moderator, vice moderator, and executive officer in middle and high school, and I’ll do my best to bring that experience to the role of moderator.
I’m not just happy because I’ve been elected as a captain, because captain is a tough position, but what makes me even happier is the fact that you all trusted me and voted for me to be captain. I know it’s hard to trust me 100% because we’ve only just gotten to know each other, but I promise to work hard and do my best as captain so that I won’t be the one to fail you. Thank you.
City Council Member-Elect Thank You
I want to thank you for your support. As I watched the sun rise this morning, many thoughts crossed my mind. There will not be a day in our lives that is not challenging for one reason or another, but this morning is one that I will not soon forget.
Thank you, my honored and beloved citizens. I, who ran under symbol 1, have been elected, and without you, I would not have dared to run, and I applaud my opponent, symbol 2, who fought a good fight to the end. My victory today is not only my joy, but also the joy of the wise citizens who made the right choice. I have learned a lot from meeting you all in person during this election campaign, and it has given me the wisdom and courage to reflect and build on this knowledge to start another tomorrow. The year 2023 will be a new one, and many things will unfold that will write a new chapter in the history of our city.
My goal for the city council is to provide the right administration for the residents of Tokyo, who have been enduring difficult economic conditions. I will continue to do my best to represent the voices of the people of Tokyo, and I ask for your continued encouragement and guidance. I believe that only with the active participation and interest of the people of Tokyo can we move beyond the old ideologies and conflicts of the past, with a forward-looking will and conviction, I believe. that a new history will unfold before us, born from the great power of the people of Tokyo.
I would like to thank all the people of Tokyo for their support and for helping me win the election. From now on, I will continue to demonstrate my commitment with my own hands, so please watch over me with warm affection, and I wish you all good health and happiness in your homes.
Acceptance Speech by the Governor-Elect
Honorable citizens of Tokyo, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support that enabled me to win the election as the 8th Tokyo Metropolitan Government Governor. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the volunteers who supported and helped me during the campaign, as well as to the election officials who worked day and night to hold the election.
Thank you for your support for my platform to usher in a new revolution in Japanese education. Your overwhelming support is not just a personal victory for me, but a victory for all Tokyo residents who love Japanese education.
I promise that I will make sure that my education policy reflects the excellent promises made by the other candidates during the campaign. I also promise that if there were any conflicts or antagonisms that arose during the election process, I will embrace them and work together to improve education in Japan.
As I watched citizens brave the cold of December to head to the polls with their families, I vowed to take on my responsibilities as the eighth minister in charge of education in Japan with even more humility. I promise that I will fulfill all the promises I made during the election campaign, and that I will work with you to lead Japanese education and bring the era of civil education autonomy to full bloom.
Respected citizens of Tokyo! During the election campaign, I heard many of your advice for the development of education in Japan. I deeply felt the concerns of parents who are worried about their children’s education, and I witnessed the difficulties of school staff in the field who requested groundbreaking support for their educational activities. My term is short at two and a half years, but I will prioritize addressing the issues of Japanese education that I saw, heard, and felt during the election campaign. I will work hard, without a day off, to perfect the work that I have planned and promoted, and to instill another hope for Japanese education that will shine in the world. I will strive for a top-notch education that harmonizes academics and character, a future education that fosters global leaders, a participatory education that involves all citizens, and a happy education that is full of joy and reward. I will envision an advanced education that pursues autonomy and creativity. I will realize a Japanese education that brings dreams and hope to students, pride and reward to teachers, trust and satisfaction to parents, and joy and happiness to all citizens. I ask for your unwavering support. Thank you.
Redevelopment Association General Meeting President Election Victory Speech
Hello everyone, I am the representative of the redevelopment association president who was elected as the president of the 2nd district redevelopment association. I would like to thank you for your support in electing me.
District 2 has been in poor condition in many ways. Thanks to your efforts to make it a more pleasant place to live, your voices have been heard and this redevelopment area has been finalized. Some have accused redevelopment of being a hotbed of speculation and have labeled us as people looking for a lucky break, like winning the lottery. That’s a shallow way of looking at it.
My heart aches for the days we’ve lived through, the conditions we’ve lived in. How can the desire to provide a more comfortable home for our children be a luxury, a speculation?
I now envision a tomorrow for our region. I dream of the clean, livable homes we have long desired, and of new hope and development in our neighborhood. I will remember the heavy tasks that have been placed on my shoulders, and I will fulfill your great hopes. I promise you, above all else, I will run for the development of the region, for the future of the region, for a more beautiful tomorrow. I promise you that there will be no unfair dealings, no backroom deals, and so on. I am well aware of the great role I have been entrusted with. I hope you will also lend your support to this underdog. Let your voices be heard so that we can bring all of our residents together, so that we can fulfill our long-held dreams, the future we’ve been waiting for, without conflict. Thank you for listening. Now let’s get this meeting started.
Congratulations to Mr. Lee on his election
Good morning, I’ve never been in a role like this before in my life, and I’m overwhelmed with emotion because I thought I was just a farmer. However, I know that the villagers have elected me as the village head, which is a call to work harder and more passionately, and to make our village younger and more energetic.
Farming is increasingly looked down upon and ignored. As a native of the village, it’s heartbreaking to look back on these days. My friends from the village who graduated from high school like me have gone to sin cities because they think there is no future in the countryside, and there are elderly people in the rice fields, operating tractors and harvesters. The village feasts used to be crowded with children and adults, but even when they come back once a month, they are empty and lonely.
As mayor, I would like to think of ways to increase the rural population. I am proud of our clean air and water, and the fact that our village is a clean area. I will increase the value of our agricultural products by growing them organically, even if it means raising the price, and promote our specialty strawberries. We will need to study the characteristics and advantages of our strawberries to distinguish them from those of other villages. To do this, I plan to expand cooperation and exchanges with farming successors not only in our village but throughout the county.
To the elders who protect the village, to the reliable young people, to all of you, I would like to thank you once again for voting for me, and I will work and strive to benefit the village by thinking of the village more than anyone else during my work as village head. I will do my duty as a young member of the village so that our village can face tomorrow and the future. I feel the weight of your hopes and wishes entrusted to me. I will do my best to make the village an example for everyone. Please keep an eye on me and give me lots of guidance and scolding. Thank you for listening to me. Now let’s eat, drink, and enjoy a small feast together.
School Representative Election Speech
Hello everyone, I’m ○○○, the elected school representative. First of all, I would like to say thank you very much for the opportunity to serve you and the school. Looking back on it now, I was really happy during the intense election period, even though I was nervous the whole time. I would like to thank the people who helped me a lot in preparing for this. The dedicated and passionate support of my classmates, united in their loyalty, was a meaningful experience that reminded me of the people I care about. Thank you, my juniors and classmates, for your support in getting me to this point. I will keep the thoughts and feelings of the seven other candidates who competed in good faith close to my heart, and I will keep their words in mind throughout my term.
I used to think, “If I don’t do something, someone else will do it for me,” and I just did what was asked of me, but I will change my mind. I believe that the position of school representative entrusted to me is a place to listen to the opinions of many students, and I believe that it is a place to gather the strength of the entire student body, even if we have different opinions. I will be a person who can make our students proud and make our school shine.
As I promised at the beginning, I will work with the administration and you to make our school the best it can be. And I will be your customer service center, listening to your concerns and fixing them. I will keep my promise to clean up the school grounds, which are often dirty because of the trash around the school. I will organize cleanups around the school. I will keep my promise to plant flowers in the grass in front of the school or in the flower beds on the playground so that nature learning is always close by and visible. Just like a heart that is always beating hard, I will always serve and work hard for our school. The heart is an indispensable part of the body. I will be the heart of the school, working hard for the school without stopping.
Each and every one of your votes is a great gift to me, I will not waste that gift in vain, I will work hard and do well, I will work really hard and do well, thank you.
Community Leader Election Celebration
Good afternoon, dear residents of the neighborhood, I would like to first thank you for your support. I am deeply grateful to all of you who have taken time out of your busy schedules to join us today to celebrate my election. As I stand on this honorable and undeserved platform, I pledge to you that I will spend the time given to me in the role of a corps leader, serving the residents.
I recognize that this position of self-governing leader was created by your request and need. As your new leader, I will spare no effort to make sure that the neighborhood association is functional and can make a realistic contribution to our community.
Unfortunately, our neighborhood has been culturally marginalized, and I would like to see the expansion of cultural facilities as one of the biggest challenges for the neighborhood association. As the number of multicultural families is on the rise, I will further improve the educational content of the Multicultural Education Center. I also promise to renovate the Cultural Center, which has been neglected, and expand various programs to make it a place where residents can enjoy culture. In addition, I will consider alternative solutions to the issues of improving public safety that have been raised and work with the city to find solutions.
Our role is actually somewhat limited, and our projects may not be that grand. I believe that the role of a neighborhood council is to be a small light near you when it is dark and tired, and even if it is not a flashy light, a light that illuminates the darkness is always a welcome presence to passersby. I will do my best to be a neighborhood council that serves and dedicates itself to the neighborhood, and to be a neighborhood council for the residents as a member of the residents. I ask you to keep an eye on me and the neighborhood council, and to praise and scold me. Thank you again, everyone, for coming to this meeting.
Governor’s victory speech
Honorable citizens, distinguished guests! First of all, I would like to thank the citizens for electing me to the seat of governor. I will do my best to make sure that you have no regrets in choosing me. I would also like to express my deepest sympathies to my opponent, who fought a fair fight with me. However, I promise that I will make sure that some of the good things that my opponent said will become our city’s policies.
Our city is blessed with a natural environment that is perfect for creating tourist destinations, as well as leading cultural assets. However, our cultural conditions have been undervalued, and the development of the city has been slow because there has been no driving force to bring these advantages together and develop them. As a result, we have gradually lost young people and have been stigmatized as an aging city and a city without a future.
Today, I dare to stand before you and promise a new future for the city. I will endeavor to break away from the past lazy practices and wartime attitudes of the city, and to make it a regional hub. As a first step, I will strive to make the city a transportation hub by attracting a railroad station within my term. A recent survey showed that inconvenient transportation was a major factor in our city’s failure to develop into a tourism zone. I also plan to revitalize public relations activities, which have been lackluster, at the city level, rather than privately.
This is my hometown before my workplace and the land where I will be buried again. Looking back, I grew up here for more than 40 years, except for my college years, so I love the city with a citizen’s heart before a politician’s, and I pray for its development. During my term, as a native of the city and a worker of the city, I will make unremitting efforts for the development of the city. Please believe in me and make every effort for the development of the region. Thank you again to all of you who have gathered today to congratulate and encourage me.
