Season’s Greetings from the Dean of English Village Opening Ceremony
Good morning, everyone!
It’s April, and spring is in the air. While all four seasons are wonderful in their own way, I find April to be the most meaningful and beautiful time of year because it’s when the world bursts into color and marks the beginning of spring in earnest.
March is still a month of cold and warmth, so we often don’t fully feel the arrival of spring, but April is definitely spring, and you can tell just by looking at the spring flowers blooming all around us. Being the kind of person who likes to do things right, April is one of my favorite months of the year because you can feel the spring in the air.
Today, in this beautiful season, we are celebrating the opening of our new English Village. I don’t need to remind you of the importance of English. It is no longer just a foreign language, but an international lingua franca. With the acceleration of information and globalization, we are exposed to English every day, and its importance is growing every day.
It’s time to compete not only with talented people in Korea, but also with talented people from around the world, and English is the first thing we need to equip our children with to become global talents.
Have you ever heard of the “English Divide?” It refers to the social and economic disparities created by differences in English proficiency. Today, English is no longer just an academic language, but a language of everyday life.
It’s no longer the national language of the United Kingdom or the United States, but the lingua franca of the global village, and we all need to be able to use it naturally and proficiently to communicate and live in the world. For this reason, we believe the importance of English cannot be overstated.
The beginning of language learning is speaking and listening. However, English education in Korea is mainly focused on reading, which is difficult to utilize when meeting foreigners in real life. However, students who learn at our English Village can alleviate these worries.
We have designed our program to help children acquire language naturally in their daily lives, which is the best time to learn. I hope you will trust us and our teachers and watch your children grow.
Thank you.
Season’s Greetings from the Class Representative
Hello, everyone!
May is upon us, and as the greenery grows and the spring rains wash away the last vestiges of winter, we are naturally feeling the change of seasons. It’s also a time of year when we wrap up winter and prepare for new beginnings.
For me, Mother’s Day is the first thing that comes to mind when May rolls around. It’s a special time for me to be here with you today to celebrate Mother’s Day. In fact, I was raised by my grandmother after my parents passed away when I was a young child. My grandmother didn’t live long, and I ended up living in an orphanage, but as fate would have it, I met my new parents and found my current family. For me, my parents are the most important people in my life, and I’m very blessed to have them.
The love they give us is like the air we breathe all the time – we don’t feel it every day, but if we didn’t have it, we’d feel its preciousness to the core. I once felt the pain of my parents’ absence like that precious air, and it made me realize how much their love and presence means to me now.
You may take your parents’ presence for granted, but they always pour their heart and soul into their children. Parental love is often described as unrequited love. They are the ones who are always watching your back, wanting the best for you.
The greatest gift we can give to our parents is to live a healthy and happy life. Our hearts may be small and weak today, but we will grow and strive to do our best to repay their love one day.
We will always be grateful, and we will show our respect and love through our actions. Mother and Father, may you live long and healthy until the day we can repay you. Thank you for listening.
Teacher’s Day Celebration Parent Season Greetings
Good morning, teachers.
It’s Teacher’s Day, and we’re excited to show our appreciation for you. Because of your dedication to our children, my child is working hard and staying healthy and happy in school. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
In the book “Reflections from Prison,” it is written that “the smallest joys can sometimes comfort the deepest sorrows. I hope that you, too, can find comfort in the smallest of joys during difficult moments. Whether it’s a disruptive child in class or an unexpected difficulty with a coworker, we hope you’ll find a little joy in a warm smile that energizes you and helps you get through the day.
Children admire and follow you because they feel your warmth and sincerity in your teaching. They respond to your love with gratitude and work harder to learn your subjects. As much as you love them, they love you deeply.
The whole process of working with children is fun for them and rewarding for you, and we know you’ll be proud to see them follow in your footsteps and pursue their dreams and goals.
On this Teachers’ Day, we would like to thank you for leaving us with such beautiful memories and warm hearts. Many children will continue to grow up under your tutelage, and as a parent, I am grateful that you are there to pass on your love and passion to them.
On this Teacher’s Day, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you once again. Teacher, I love and honor you with all my heart. Thank you.
Teacher’s Day Celebration Parent Season Greetings
Hello everyone, Every year when May rolls around, there seems to be a knot in my stomach. Now that my kids are back in school, the meaning of Teacher’s Day takes on a new meaning. It’s not just about what I can do for my teacher and asking her to look pretty, but I want my child to grow up with a true appreciation for her teacher.
I should be grateful for my own teachers, but now that I have my lovely child’s teacher, I feel like I have another teacher to be grateful for. If a child truly realizes the grace of their parents on Mother’s Day, they won’t make their parents feel bad, and similarly, a child who knows and appreciates the grace of their teachers will cherish their school life even more. In that spirit, I thought about what you can do to celebrate Teacher’s Day this year.
As I was thinking of ways to show my child’s appreciation for his teacher, I realized that it would be nice to do something meaningful with his classmates, so I approached the art teacher during the children’s creative art class and told her of my intention. Luckily, she agreed, and we were able to write thank-you letters to our teachers for Teacher’s Day. As I watched the children’s little hands curl up into little letters, I felt like I had done something really good with them this time.
I hope that the letters conveyed the children’s kindness to the teacher, and I also hope that the children learned to appreciate the teacher’s hard work and dedication.
There’s something about watching kids grow up that makes me realize. I realize how much of an impact a teacher can have on a person’s life. I believe that the teachers you have and what you learn from them can make a huge difference in your future values. Parents play an important role in education, but I’m reminded of how important the things we learn from teachers in school are to our children’s growth and future.
I feel sorry for the students who don’t know more about the grace of their teachers, but if they can recall this meaning later in life, that’s also something to be grateful for. So, even though I am standing here as a parent, I would like to thank the teachers with a disciple’s heart. Please continue to teach my children, and guide them to play and dream without worry at school.
Every time my children come home and talk excitedly about what they learned at school, I can’t tell you how grateful I am to you. Thank you again, teachers, for being such an important part of our children’s lives. With gratitude.
Farewell Party Season’s Greetings
Good morning, honored seniors.
This winter is bitterly cold, and my fingertips are numb. Even with gloves on, I’ve been warming my chilled fingertips by the fireplace for a while. It’s supposed to be in the teens, but it seems like there are more cold days than warm days these days.
No matter how hard my heart is beating, the warmth can’t reach my fingertips and my fingers feel like they’re about to fall off. Then there are the days when you walk in the door and your cold fingertips feel like they’re tingling with electricity. Winter is still a long way off, and I hope you’re all staying warm and toasty through this cold season. But today, I can’t hide the fact that I’m feeling as cold as the weather.
A person’s life is a series of meetings and partings. We know that with every meeting comes a parting, but we never quite get used to it. Today we’re here to say goodbye to our esteemed team leader.
When we were lost, we looked to the North Star to find our way, and when our team was in trouble, we looked to you for direction. When I was first starting out and taking over, you took me under your wing and carefully guided me through every step of the way. Your words of “trust and follow” were a great support to me and my teammates. That’s why you’ve always been a North Star to us, and that’s why it’s so sad to say goodbye to you.
Dear and beloved Team Leader, we promise that we will continue to strictly protect security and build a safer company by emulating your achievements and accident-free honor. So please don’t worry about the people and work you leave behind, and move on to bigger goals and dreams.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and please keep our gratitude and respect in your hearts. In the first social life of a new employee ○○○, you are a benefactor and the only North Star in the world.
Thank you very much.
Season’s Greetings from the President of the Disabled Welfare Association
After a long and boring winter, the long-awaited spring has finally arrived. It’s May, and when we open the windows, a warm breeze blows in and warms our hearts. There are no traces of winter around us anymore, and spring flowers are in full bloom, bright and lively around us.
The sad thing is, though, is that this warm, cozy, light-hearted spring is just around the corner. The midday temperatures are getting a little hotter, hinting at the summer that’s just around the corner, but we can’t help but cherish this beautiful season even more because it’s the result of a long winter of preparation. Just as spring blossoms because of long preparation, I believe that consistent preparation and perseverance in our own lives can drive us to better outcomes.
I know that many of you are currently going through a time of intense preparation, striving for a better tomorrow, and I respect that process, and I sincerely hope that your tomorrows will be richer and happier for your hard work.
With the hope of spring, which has just begun, we are here today to celebrate the third event of the “Connecting Strings of Love Movement” organized by the Welfare Association for the Physically Disabled. I would like to congratulate you from the bottom of my heart. Although social awareness of disability is gradually improving and people with disabilities are showing outstanding achievements in various fields, there is still indifference and discrimination against people with disabilities in many parts of society. Therefore, there are many areas where practical and institutional consideration for people with disabilities is needed.
If they have to face the reality of disability, especially in their adolescence, when they should be fulfilling their dreams, the heartbreak they go through is indescribable. If it results in hindering their potential and possibilities, it is a great loss for them personally and for society. We should spare no effort to support them in various ways so that their unlimited potential and passion can shine through.
In this sense, I believe that the warm love and attention shown by the ‘Link of Love Movement’ will heal the wounds of students with disabilities and provide them with the opportunity to realize their potential. It is very moving to see students with disabilities realize their potential through the touch of solidarity, and if they go on to become successful in society, it will be a beacon of hope for other students with disabilities. Furthermore, if our society unites to support and cheer for their growth, I am sure that the social value of this movement will be even greater.
The ‘Link of Love Movement’ is a valuable opportunity to instill dreams and hopes in students with disabilities through meetings between them and leaders from all walks of life, and to provide them with practical education and welfare support. I hope that this meeting will not end with just an event, but will lead to lasting interest and love through the linkage. I also hope that the students who attended this event will gain even more courage from this day and move forward boldly toward their dreams. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to the classroom teachers and school officials who are dedicated to the future of students with disabilities on the front lines. We, too, promise to do our best to improve the treatment of students with disabilities and create a better environment for them.
Finally, we sincerely hope that the warmth and love for this movement will gradually spread and develop into a national event with more people participating in the future. I hope that this movement will serve as a solid support for more than 76,000 students with disabilities nationwide to move forward into the future with dreams and hopes, and that we will create a society where they can grow together with everyone’s attention and love.
Thank you.
Season’s greetings from the presenters of the Korea Workforce Development Institute course completion ceremony
hello.
Although the Mid-Autumn Festival is said to signal the arrival of fall, the heat of summer still lingers and the midday sun still bathes us with its intensity. Nevertheless, the change of season, which is faintly felt at the end of the breeze, makes us look forward to the cool breeze and clear skies that will soon bring us cooler weather and clearer skies. It is even more meaningful to have the ○○ Course Completion Ceremony in the midst of this seasonal change.
As I stand here to say goodbye to you, I feel both sad and happy, just like when summer ends and fall begins. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this program. As I reflect on the past year, I am overwhelmed with emotion. When I first stepped foot in the Workforce Development Center, the leaves were still green and the seasons seemed to be slow to change, and now I realize that a year has passed and I’m standing here with you. Time really does fly by like water.
First and foremost, I would like to thank the director and all the staff for making this time together and the teachers for their passionate lectures. Thanks to you, we have reached this glorious moment today. Looking back, it would have been difficult for us to achieve what we have today without the passionate teaching of our teachers. The late nights spent preparing for exams and assignments with you, and the pain we felt during our growth, are now cherished memories for all of us.
In particular, this course gave us the opportunity to experience China’s culture and history first-hand through study abroad. We spent 10 weeks learning about China’s diverse culture and intensively improving our Chinese language skills in Tianjin. I have vivid memories of visiting historical places along the Silk Road, not only in class, but also exploring each city along the Silk Road. The night sky in Turupan is truly unforgettable, with countless stars decorating the sky and the clear, fresh air enveloping us, making us lose track of time. I also remember the unique food we tasted locally.
Through this study abroad experience, we didn’t just improve our Chinese language skills, but also gained new perspectives and broadened our horizons through the communication with the people we met there. All of this growth was the result of our teachers’ constant encouragement and our own hard work.
Today, we have to conclude the course and return to our respective places. We will continue to study hard so as not to forget our Chinese conversation skills, and we hope that we can actively utilize the knowledge and skills we have acquired in this course in our work in China-related departments. Furthermore, we hope to get more opportunities for further development through continuing education, so that we can grow even further.
The past year of training has made a huge difference in our daily lives, and we have made many valuable connections along the way, and we are sad to say goodbye to our colleagues, teachers, and all the staff at the Workforce Development Institute. Although we will not see each other again in the immediate future, our time here will remain close to our hearts, and we feel very fortunate to have had such a valuable learning opportunity during our public service.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude and sincere wishes for the continued development of the Korea Workforce Development Institute and the great honors that lie ahead. May your future be filled with happiness and fulfillment. Yours sincerely.
Teacher’s Day Celebration Discipleship Season Greetings
How are you? Today is Teacher’s Day.
I have spent a lot of time in school, from elementary school, middle school, high school, and even college, and I have had many teachers. I am deeply grateful to the teachers who have taught me at each stage, but there is only one teacher who has always remained in my heart after all these years. He tries to understand the mind of a student more than anyone else, and he has shown me an unforgettable warmth and sincerity.
If I hadn’t met him when I was in the sixth grade of elementary school, my life might have been very different. At that time, I was growing up in a disadvantaged environment. I didn’t get enough attention and love from my parents, and I was a typical poor kid who didn’t have enough to eat or have the things I wanted. My parents were also on the front lines of life, so they couldn’t afford to pay attention to what I was thinking and growing up, so loneliness was always in the back of my mind as a child.
I don’t remember much about my childhood from the time I entered elementary school until I met my teacher, but from the moment I met her, everything seemed new. I had few close friends, and my academic performance was not very good, so I was always alone. But she didn’t let me be. She noticed me and approached me with a lot of attention.
She didn’t force me to study. Instead, she observed what I liked to do, what I seemed happiest doing, and she talked to me a lot. She was always there for me, as if I were a member of her family. I don’t think any other teacher could have given so much love and attention to each student. You shared the same love and attention with every child in our class, not just me. You always put your students first, even if it meant sleeping less and being more tired. You were always thinking about how to make them happier, how to help them find joy in their studies and in their lives.
Just as there is a saying that when you tell a plant “I love you,” the energy of that love is transmitted to it and it grows healthier, your sincere love resonated with me and made a difference. Your love was heavenly to me as a young child who had never been loved by anyone. Thanks to you, I learned how to receive love and how to give love to others.
Without the love and attention I received at such a young age, I might not be able to live my life the way I do today. Today, I have a family, raise my children, and live life to the fullest because of you. Thirty years have passed since my relationship with you began, but your teachings still shine brightly in my heart.
The years have passed, and I’m starting to see some gray hairs on my head, and I can feel the passage of time, but strangely enough, when I stand in front of you, I still feel like that little kid again. It’s reassuring to know that it’s okay to be incomplete in front of a teacher, and that my gaps will be understood. Today, I can still smile sincerely in front of you because you see me as I am.
I hope that our meeting today will continue for many years to come, and that I will always be able to express my gratitude to you.
Thank you.
Season’s Greetings from the President of the Mountain Club
○○How are you, dear members of the Mountain Club?
Spring is here, a great season for mountain climbing. The winter was long and long, and we wondered when it would end, and then it was warm April. The weather was cold until March, and then it warmed up for a while, and now we can feel a definite spring spirit. Even in the mountains, trees and flowers are slowly starting to bud, and there’s a beautiful spring vibe everywhere.
It’s funny this time of year, the sunshine and wind feel different in just a few days. The sun shines brightly in the morning and warms us all day long, while the cold winds that used to blow strongly throughout the day seem to be losing their strength, with only a brief burst of energy in the morning. Even the breeze that blows through an open window has a hint of spring in it, and we hope you’re taking a deep breath of the new season’s air and feeling its vitality and warmth.
With spring in full swing, there’s never been a better time to get out on a trek or climb. In the mountains, the trees and grasses are awakening from their winter slumber, giving us a lush, green wonderland. This opportunity to experience the mysteries of nature up close is something you’ll cherish, too.
Thank you once again for your love of the mountains and your passion to be with nature in every moment. Our mountain walks together wash away the stresses of daily life and rejuvenate us. It’s hard and overwhelming before the climb, but when we reach the top, we realize how valuable the sense of accomplishment and the refreshing scenery are. It’s as if the mountain is saying to us, “Good job, good job,” isn’t it?
Before I joined the ○○Mountain Club, I had been living a busy life every day. I often worked late at night, and when I got home, my children were already asleep. Even on weekends, I would lie down and rest or sleep all day to relieve the fatigue I had accumulated. As a result, I gradually became neglectful of my children and my family, and I felt that I was living my life focusing on work and forgetting the things that were truly important.
The ○○ Mountain Club made a huge difference in my life. Using the club as an excuse, I have more opportunities to go hiking with my family and spend time in nature, and now my children don’t feel awkward about going out with me, but actually enjoy it. If it weren’t for the ○○ Mountain Club, I would probably still be in the same dull routine and not realize the importance of nature and family, so the gratitude and joy it brings to my life is indescribable.
Our ○○ Mountain Club is not just a group that climbs mountains, but a warm community that learns about nature and supports each other’s lives. Although our lives are different and we go through different things, when we climb mountains, we walk and support each other towards the same goal. The friendships and support that we share here are always a great source of strength for me.
I am always happy because of you, because of the mountains, and because of the ○○Mountain Club. I hope we can all stay healthy and create happy days together in nature. I hope that we will continue to climb mountains together and make happy memories this year.
Like nature, which is always by our side, I hope your time with the ○○Mountain Club will bring you rest and comfort in your daily life.
Thank you.
Season’s greetings from the Mother’s Day Celebration presenter
Hello everyone, it’s that time of year again, Mother’s Day. I’d like to thank all of you for joining us today and for being here for your parents.
May is also known as Family Month, and while it’s a time to spend more time with your family and give and receive love, it’s also a time when you may feel overwhelmed by the extra spending. It’s a time of year when we give our parents pocket money, buy gifts for the kids, and dine out, all of which can add up to a lot of spending, but it’s also a time of love and gratitude.
That’s not to say that we should hate May, or complain about the pressure, but rather that it gives us a chance to reflect on our families and think about each other. Who doesn’t love their family, but when you look at how much we show it, it’s often not enough. We let busyness and awkwardness get in the way of expressing our love and appreciation.
I think it’s especially hard to express our gratitude for our parents. We all feel grateful for them, but when the time comes, we’re too embarrassed to say we love them. I’m always grateful for my parents, but it’s not always easy to tell them how much I appreciate them, and I hope that we can all come together to show them how much we appreciate them.
Now that I’m a parent myself, I understand how they feel. I’ve realized that parenthood is a position that requires a lot of sacrifice. I can see now that my parents sacrificed for me as much, if not more, than the attention and effort I now put into my children. As a kid, I took it for granted that parents would sacrifice for their children, but as an adult, I realize how silly and immature that was.
We can’t always be with our parents, they’re bound to leave us at some point, and most of us don’t realize the void until after they’re gone, and then we regret it. So to all of you here today, I’d like to say don’t be afraid to express your feelings to your parents, I know I am, and I hope this is a time for all of us to do so.
When I talk to people who have lost their parents, their biggest regret is that they didn’t visit them as often as they should have. They say that they didn’t call them as often as they should have because they were too busy, and they regret the moments they missed. When I hear this, it touches my heart and makes my heart feel heavy. If we don’t want to have regrets later in life, we should take time out of our busy lives to say hello and visit our parents often.
There are many ways to show your parents that you care, and it doesn’t always have to be by giving them pocket money. Even if you can’t afford to treat them to a meal at a fancy restaurant, just showing them your face will bring them great comfort and joy. It can also be by sharing stories about your life and listening to what they have to say. It’s these small moments that will make Mother’s Day more meaningful and heartwarming.
We hope you’ll take this opportunity to thank your parents and reaffirm the love between you and your family. While we hope our parents will always be by our side, there will come a day when they will leave us, and I think the best thing we can do for them is to show them how much we appreciate every moment and share our time together. I would like to take this opportunity to once again express my heartfelt gratitude to my parents.
I hope that we all take this month of May as an opportunity to show them how much we care. With gratitude.
Season’s Greetings from your Service Club President
The trees along the streets have turned their leaves into brilliant colors. The scenery in November is like a mountain in autumnal colors. If the dark green makes you feel fresh and beautiful, the mountains in autumnal colors make you feel mature and relaxed. I think that’s why summer is called the season of youth and autumn is called the season of women. I hope that your time is as beautiful as the trees and as beautiful as the mountains. And like the richness of autumn, may our service and warmth of heart grow deeper and wider.
Twenty years ago, “○○ Rehabilitation Research Society” was founded by a group of like-minded young people who wanted to spend their golden years of life meaningfully, and who had a heart for the disabled, but did not have the opportunity to volunteer, and today we stand in front of you, growing invisibly but little by little, creating the big shadow of today. We are proud of the way we have grown over the past 20 years, adapting to changes while maintaining our original focus. We have been able to grow step by step because everyone was willing to share their time with us even though they were busy at the time.
The image of the “○○ Disabled Persons Sponsorship Association” in my heart remains the image I always envisioned. I am filled with joy and gratitude for the sacrifices our members have had to make for their identity, and I remain hopeful that the next generation will do the same. We hope that the traditions and warmth of our hearts will continue to live on, and that this spirit will resonate with many more people.
A tree that sways in the wind grows strong. Trees need gentle breezes and even the occasional harsh rainstorm to help them grow. Our service journeys need these winds, too. In our service, we have sometimes encountered unexpected situations and difficulties, but these moments have made us stronger, and we will continue to grow stronger through these challenges, big and small.
I believe that the passion, hard work, unity, and sacrifice we have made through the many difficulties and crises we have faced as we have grown from the “○○ Rehabilitation Research Society” to the “○○ Disabled Persons‘ Sponsorship Association” have laid the foundation for the “○○ Disabled Persons’ Sponsorship Association”, which stands on its 20th anniversary, presenting its future shape and goals. We hope that this organization, which we have created together, will continue to be a strong support for people with disabilities and their families, and we hope that more people will join us on our journey and share greater love and hope in the future.
When we open our hearts to the prejudice and rejection of people with disabilities, and embrace them with warmth, we can break through the mental barriers and create a “healthy society with people with disabilities”. We hope that through our activities, the barriers between people will be lowered little by little, and that we will contribute to a society where everyone can laugh and socialize together.
Our efforts are a step towards reaching out to people with disabilities, and it’s a start. Many people who see our step and want to work together will make society brighter and healthier. It is not only service to help with difficult tasks, but also service from the heart that makes us feel good to see them first and greet them with a smile. A simple greeting and a warm smile can mean the world to someone. It’s in these small moments that service exists.
We hope that your efforts and the warmth of the hearts around you will be conveyed to those who live in the shadows of our society with love and care, and that the brightness of their smiles will remain a touching memory in everyone’s hearts. We hope that the warmth shared in each of our places will continue to create more joy and happiness. I sincerely hope that these moments together will remain as cherished memories for a long time to come.
Seasonal Greetings from the Hospital President
Dear ○○ Hospital employees! How are you?
Even though the sun has long since disappeared, the heat of the earth has not cooled down, and the hot August weather still envelops us. The buildings and streets seem to bask in the sun’s heat all day long, and when night falls, they still seem to radiate hot energy.
Even opening a window in this weather only brings in a warm breeze, and even a fan breeze feels like the hot air from a blow dryer. It’s not uncommon to have sleepless nights during these sweltering days, and the sleeplessness only adds to the fatigue. But the end of summer is just around the corner, so let’s all keep our spirits up and get through the end of the season together.
Dear family members,
The National Psychiatric Hospital has accomplished a lot, but there are still important tasks ahead of us, especially as we look forward to a major change in the functioning of the National Psychiatric Hospital, and internally, we have an important responsibility to re-establish the reputation of the National Psychiatric Hospital. In ‘The Art of Living,’ the renowned Dr. Byung Ho Gong emphasizes the mindset of ‘living in the present moment,’ and that consistently putting this mindset into practice is the most important skill in life. It’s a good time to remind ourselves of the importance of each individual’s efforts in the here and now for the growth and development of our hospitals.
Hospitals are not just “places of work”; they are “places of life” where we care for our patients and help them get well so they can return to society. Take pride in how much the work we do means. We need to reach out to our patients with a heartfelt, “Thank you for trusting us,” and it’s important that each and every one of us does our best in the field and has a clear sense of where we’re headed.
An organization is a place where individuals come together to work toward a common goal, and we aim to be a “first-class organization,” not a second- or third-class one. Just as plants respond to our words and emotions, organizations are affected by the positive energy shared by their members. For example, an orchid that is often told it’s beautiful grows more vibrant, while one that is often told it’s negative withers. Some plants like classical music, while others prefer energetic music. The same is true for organizations. If the minds of our people are healthy and vibrant, our organizations will be a brighter, more positive place. It’s in our hands to create a workplace culture that’s fun and exciting.
Finally, on this anniversary, I’d like to extend my deepest gratitude and congratulations to all of our distinguished employees who have made significant contributions to our organization. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to all of our executives and their families for joining us today, as well as to all of our employees who were unable to attend due to work commitments.
Let’s continue to work together to create a brighter future for National○○ Hospital. Thank you.
Season’s Greetings from the Principal
Good morning, everyone.
It’s a pleasant fall morning. Today is the national holiday, Gacheon Festival. Gaecheonjeon, which means the opening of the heavens and the opening of the country, is also a day to celebrate the historical roots of our nation. We all know the myth of Dangun, the bear’s perseverance to become a human and the founding of Gojoseon, which is the foundation of the Korea we enjoy today. Over the years, the country that began as Joseon has gone through many changes and names to become the Republic of Korea. Today, on this meaningful day, I would like to join you in celebrating Korea’s birthday and honor our roots and what they mean to us.
Today, I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to stand before you as your principal on this meaningful day. After my announcement on October 1, I received warm words of congratulations from many family members, colleagues, and friends, saying, “How wonderful it is to be your principal,” and I personally felt honored to be in this position after 25 years as a classroom teacher, three and a half years as an assistant principal, and three and a half years as a scholarship officer.
But it was only for a moment that I felt grateful for the congratulatory words, for when I heard the words, “Now that you are principal, your hard work is over,” I realized that I would not be a true educator if I rested on my laurels as principal, and a heavy sense of responsibility began to weigh on my shoulders.
Honorable staff, parents, and students!
Thank you once again for welcoming me, and I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my resolve and determination in managing the school. It is often said that our education is in crisis, that our schools are standing on a precipice, but I believe that rather than looking for the cause of this crisis outside, we must solve it within ourselves. We must first find the solution to the problem of education with all our hearts, and we can only make a real change if we work on it ourselves.
If our children are lost and wandering, it must be due to the lack of hard work of our staff, who should be their spiritual guides, and the love of their parents. Of course, as a principal, my strength alone may not be enough, but the sincere love for children, the passion of our teachers to strive for better education, and the support of our parents for their children make me make a firm resolve to work together to create a school that educates properly and a school that is a school.
As the principal of this school, I will emphasize the importance of learning, leading students to prepare for the future with hope, so that they can step out into the wider world and fulfill their dreams. Learning is the most important process that enables us to see the world in a broader and deeper way and to develop the power to solve problems. Therefore, the school will spare no effort to help our students understand the value of learning and set their own goals.
Dear esteemed teachers, parents, and beloved students!
In anything we do, the more ambitious we are, the better. Perhaps my resolutions and determination are beyond my personal capacity to fulfill. But I believe in you. I am confident that if you, the teachers, parents, and students work together as one, we can move forward to a better future.
It is a great honor for me to be here today, but I will do my best to live up to the responsibilities that come with this honor. I will not be ashamed of my position, I will not be ashamed of the name of principal, and I will build a better school together with you. I ask for everyone’s warm support, encouragement, and energetic cooperation. Thank you.
Season’s Greetings from the President
Greetings, honored members!
Spring is almost here, a time of hope and beginnings, and May is the culmination of spring and a time for new beginnings. It is also a time when we are reminded of dreams and plans that we have been putting off, and I would like to deliver a new resolution on behalf of the Korea Beauty Association.
Spring is a time we all look forward to every year, but it’s always different. Just as spring flowers bloom, new challenges and opportunities for development await us. As we embrace this opportunity together, I’d like to extend my warmest wishes to you and hope that this year will be a year of growth for the beauty industry.
We experience many beginnings in our lives. Even if they are scary and uncertain at first, each step toward challenge and growth takes us to greater heights. I plan to take the same steps on behalf of the Korean Cosmetology Association during my term as president. Even though every challenge cannot guarantee success, I believe that we will definitely gain something valuable from this journey.
There is a saying, “If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together.” It reminds us of the importance of cooperation and solidarity in achieving our goals. It is my great honor and pleasure to work hand in hand with you to lead the Korean Beauty Association to glory. I promise to do my best to pave the way for the beauty industry together.
Today, the beauty industry is becoming a major industry led by the state. The government is also providing policy support for the development of the beauty industry, but unfortunately, the Korean beauty society has been marginalized from important discussions due to internal conflicts. It is time for us to overcome this reality and strengthen ourselves to become the center of policy and change.
In order to increase the value the industry can contribute to the national economy and society, we need to empower the industry as a whole and raise our own profile. It will take all of us working together, in partnership with the government, to ensure that the beauty industry plays a leading role in the country.
As president, I will do my best to create a KCC that you can be proud of. I will do my best to make sure that our association becomes a platform that leads change at the center of the beauty industry, protects the rights and interests of the industry, and creates new opportunities. I will devote all my energy to making every member of the KCC feel proud and confident.
There is an old saying, “Dangrangjaehoo”. The story of the mantis looking only at the cicada in front of him and forgetting that the sparrow was targeting him, has a deep lesson for us. We shouldn’t chase after small gains, but have the wisdom to look far ahead for the greater good of the beauty industry. When we work together to help the industry as a whole prosper, and share the fruits of our labor, both the individual hairdresser and the association will grow.
We will continue to work tirelessly for the development of the beauty industry and the pride of hairdressers, and your support will be a great help. Let’s work together and do our best to make the beauty industry a mainstay of national economic growth. Thank you.
Season’s Greetings from the Alumni Association
Hello, dear alumni!
It’s that time of year again, when the bitter cold continues to make our noses tingle and our fingertips and toes chill. With the cold winds blowing fiercely in the morning and evening, I wonder if the real winter is just around the corner. But as I look at the faces of the alumni gathered here today, I can’t help but feel warm and fuzzy inside.
February is coming up, and while most of you probably think of it as the end of winter, the bitter cold is showing no signs of letting up, and I hope we can all take care of our health and stay warm this season. As the saying goes, if you lose your health, you lose everything, and I believe that the most precious thing we have is our health and happiness, and no amount of fame and fortune can truly mean anything unless it is based on good health.
Today, at your request, I stand here to assume the role of president of our ○○ Alumni Association. For 20 years, you have been living hard in your own places, but you still think of each other and come together for the development of the alumni association, and I feel that this feeling is truly precious and valuable. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude.
Our alumni association is as strong as the years we’ve been together, and now we want to take it a step further and work together to find out what we can do to make our alumni association a more recognized organization in the community. I hope that we can continue to cherish the traditions and bonds of our alumni association and do our small part to help the community.
They say a lion will go to great lengths to catch a rabbit, and I hope that we can be the kind of reunion where we can help each other with our sincere desire to help and understand each other. I’m in my mid-60s, but I think there’s still so much more we can do, and I believe that small, consistent efforts will add up and help our community and each other.
If we have the right heart for each other, if we step up to the plate and reach out to help, there will be no difficulties in our community and in our alumni association. I have no special talents or abilities, but I promise to walk with you and do my best to make our alumni association richer and more meaningful.
I ask for your continued support and affection, and I wish you and your families good health and happiness.
Yours sincerely
Season’s Greetings from the Alumni President
How are you?
The cold wind is blowing through our thick clothes and threatening to freeze our hearts to the bone. In this season, when the power of the winter solstice seems to be different than usual, it’s not just the weather that makes the cold feel so strong, but also the fact that the world is getting more and more urgent and our hearts are a little tired.
It’s cold weather like this that reminds us of how harsh and sometimes cold the world we live in can be. In today’s weather alone, the biting winds that are blowing through the air seem to resemble the reality of what we have to deal with, which makes it all the more strange.
There was a time when I was young and innocent, without a care in the world, with my heart full of innocence. But as I grew up, I learned the harshness of reality as I encountered disappointment from people I trusted, and unexpected failures despite my best efforts. Along the way, there were many frustrating moments, and at times, I felt like giving up. But in these moments, I realized once again that the difficulties and trials we face ultimately pave the way for greater maturity and happiness.
I realized that just as a cold winter is followed by a warm spring, so too is there a cycle of seasons in our lives. Sometimes life blows us harsh winds of trial, but they are always followed by moments of greater joy and gratitude, and it’s the presence of family and friends that makes those moments of joy shine even brighter.
I stand here today to express my gratitude for the warmth and trust you have placed in me to serve as President of the Alumni Association. I realize that I still have a lot to learn and a long way to go, but I am determined to fulfill the heavy responsibility with the deepest gratitude to the members who entrusted me with such a valuable position.
I believe that the alumni association, where we have shared memories and cried and laughed together at the crossroads of our lives, is more than just a gathering, it is another family and a great supportive relationship in our lives, so I believe that in order for our alumni association to develop further, we need voluntary participation and warm interest in each other more than anything else. I hope that the alumni association will not just be a group of people who communicate with each other, but a group of people who care about each other. I will always be by your side, so that we can celebrate with each other when something good happens, and help each other when something difficult happens.
As we go through life, we realize that it’s not always easy to find friends who really care about each other. In such a world, it’s hard to find a group of friends who will truly care about each other and support each other, and I sincerely hope that our reunion will be a place where we can share our sincerity and warmth with each other, and where we can share each other’s joys and sorrows.
I wish all of you here today good health and happiness in your families, and I will do my best to help our alumni association achieve greater friendship and development. I hope you will continue to support me in my endeavors, and I would like to conclude my remarks.
Thank you very much.
Season’s Greetings from the Alumni Association President
Hello, dear classmates.
I am so happy to be here to greet you again. February of 20@@ is already here. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who have taken time out of your busy lives to attend our regular meetings. Seeing such warm hearts come together in the midst of the harsh winter winds makes me realize once again how precious our timeless friendship is.
As the year passes by, the wrinkles that time has left in the corners of our eyes, I realize that they are the marks of our paths and the weight of our memories. The time of our lives is etched with countless moments and stories, and even though they can sometimes feel heavy and nostalgic, it’s the moments like today, when we see each other, hold hands, and laugh, that make it all seem so much warmer.
So, my friends, it’s February, the same time every year, but strangely enough, it never gets boring. In fact, as the years go by, the time we have becomes more valuable and precious. Even though it’s the same season every year, the people in our lives are different, our thoughts are deeper, and every moment is new. Because of this, our lives are fun and exciting, like a scene from a movie. I hope that the future that awaits us all will be as fun and full of warm memories as the present.
As we enter the middle of our lives, we often find ourselves relaxed, and we feel reassured just by being in each other’s company. We want to support each other with warm hearts, and we want to create an alumni association that is cozy and smells like home. I ask all of you to help us become more than just a gathering, but a “family-like gathering” where we sincerely support each other and share life’s moments together.
I look forward to your unwavering cooperation and participation this year, and I will take the initiative to be a friend who laughs with you in times of joy and lends a shoulder to cry on in difficult times. I will walk alongside you with a deeper sense of responsibility and mission as President.
In fact, I was afraid to take on the role of president during this transitional period, but I am relieved to know that our organization is growing as strong as it is thanks to your trust and support. With you by my side, I will do my best to do my best for our alumni association.
I dare to say that all of our alumni, who have made unwavering dedication to their respective positions after graduation, and who have led successful lives as proud families at home and excellent workers in the society, are the main players in the development of our alumni association. Each and every one of you is the pillar of this organization and the driving force that keeps us moving forward.
I hope that this year will also be a warm gathering where we can support each other, laugh together, comfort each other in times of difficulty, and share our joys and sorrows. I hope that your precious interest and love will always be there, and that we will always be together.
Finally, I would like to wish you a year full of health and happiness, and I am so happy to be here to strengthen our friendship and bond. To all of you, I thank you for your continued interest and support, and I wish you happiness and peace in your homes. Thank you.
Season’s Greetings from the Alumni Association President
Greetings, beloved and honored alumni of ○○ Elementary School!
I am Mr. ○○○, a graduate of the ○th class of ○○ Elementary School, who has been appointed as the president of the Alumni Association of ○○ Elementary School in the new year of the Chinese New Year.
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the previous alumni president, the principal, the distinguished guests, and the proud alumni for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend this event. It is a great honor for me to be here with you today to greet you on this momentous occasion.
Our school, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, is steeped in tradition and history, and has produced many wonderful people in the community. The achievements and dedication of our alumni in their respective fields are our pride and joy. Your shining footsteps are a source of pride and guidance for the younger generation, and I am deeply grateful and deeply responsible for entrusting me with this role of Alumni President.
Dear alumni, our alumni association has been developed through the dedicated efforts and passion of our past presidents and seniors. The warmth and love that our alumni have poured into our school and the younger generation has made our alumni association what it is today. I will continue to do my best to make our alumni association even more vibrant and full of emotion during my term.
In particular, I would like to create a better alumni association through communication and harmony among alumni. I believe that the alumni association should be more than just a gathering, but a place where we can share our experiences, gather wisdom, and grow together. To this end, I will create programs for alumni of each flagship to participate more actively, and strive to strengthen the bonds between alumni through various events.
In order for our alumni association to grow stronger, we need your continued interest and participation. A little bit of attention from you can go a long way. It is a great joy and meaningful accomplishment for our alumni association to see the growth of our alumni that makes our juniors proud and our seniors happy.
Also, this year, we would like to emphasize the meaning of the Chinese New Year, “It’s just you and me, let’s keep our minds free, our hearts free, and our work free.” We would like to pledge the direction of the alumni association to be a source of strength for each other, and to do whatever we do with our minds together.
Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you and all the alumni for organizing today’s ceremony. I would especially like to thank the principal for being here to honor us and the guests of honor for giving up their precious time. I wish all alumni all the happiness and good fortune in their families, and I hope that we will make even greater leaps forward this year with the strong unity of the alumni association.
We will always have our alumni by our side.
Thank you.
We love you.
10th Anniversary Alumni Association Season’s Greetings
How are you?
We are reminded again of how quickly time flies. It seems like only yesterday that we graduated you and sent you on your way, and it’s overwhelming to realize that it’s been 10 years. Today, seeing you all face-to-face and hearing your stories of how you’ve worked hard in your respective positions makes me think that time has given you another gift. Seeing how much you’ve matured over the years reminds me of how precious a person’s life can be.
I can’t believe it’s already February, and I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since you graduated. As the years fly by and vivid memories of those days come back to me, I realize that I’ve added another precious chapter to my life. It’s been 30 years since I started teaching, and I’m proud to say that I’ve been able to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher. I’ve had many students like you over the years, but it’s the ones I’m meeting again today that remain warm in my heart.
When you were younger, every day seemed so long, and you used to count down the days to adulthood, wishing that time would go by just a little faster. You dreamed of being able to do whatever you wanted to do when you grew up, and now that you’re old enough to realize how quickly time passes, you realize how precious those innocent days are. Maybe you’re lamenting how fast the days go by now, but as precious as this time is, you’ve also grown up and realized that getting older isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
As you look at the person you’ve become over the years, you realize how precious the marks of hard work and integrity are in a person’s life. Even as gray hairs grow and wrinkles settle into the corners of your eyes, there is still depth and value in your life that comes with age, and I am encouraged by the way you face time and make the most of every moment on your journey.
○○It’s been 10 years since you graduated from high school, and how much has happened since then? I am so proud to see all of you, who must have taken your first steps into the world with excitement, gathered together again today, sharing old friendships and giving each other support and encouragement. As a teacher, I’m proud to see how you’ve grown from dreamy boys and girls to promising young men and women.
I remember that tearful farewell day in February, 20 years ago. I remember the graduation ceremony, and I was overwhelmed with emotion as I watched you walk out onto the field with your diplomas in hand, excited for the future, but also worried that the world would give you too many trials. As I patted each of you on the head as we said goodbye after graduation, I prayed in my heart, “Please make me a good adult,” and I couldn’t be happier as a teacher to see the amazing young people you are today.
You are a group of people who have not forgotten me, your homeroom teacher from 10 years ago, and you are a group of people who know the value of memories and live by them, and I hope that the friendships that have blossomed from the strength of those memories will bring you great comfort and encouragement in your lives. If they can be a source of strength for you to continue your friendships for many years to come, there is nothing more valuable than that.
I was invited to the reunion today, and I stayed up late last night thinking about seeing my former students. It’s always a great feeling to hear that your former students are doing well in their lives, but it’s even better to see them in person. I think the most rewarding part of being a teacher is seeing my students, even after all these years, and seeing their growth and accomplishments. You always remind me of what it means to be a teacher.
Thank you, my students, for growing up, for becoming the workers that society needs in your respective places, for being the breadwinners of a family, and for being the support of someone else. I hope that we will continue to cherish our relationship and continue to influence each other. Please know that you have a teacher who is always there to support you.
I wish you all the best in your respective roles as you move on to the next chapter of your lives. May this day be one of encouragement and gratitude for the time you’ve had. Once again, thank you all for being here.
Season’s greetings from your classroom student representatives
The warmth of fall is fading and the cold of winter is upon us. The chill in the air both morning and night reminds us that another year is coming to an end. And just like that, mid-December has arrived, and it’s time to say goodbye to this classroom. As I stand here and reflect on the year, I remember the excitement and nervousness I felt a year ago among the unfamiliar faces as if it were yesterday. We’ve walked a similar path every morning since then, but now it feels a little more familiar and warm.
I can now understand the expression “years like running water,” as they say in the olden days. At the time, time seemed heavy and long, but now I realize how quickly it has passed. Even those moments when every month, day, minute, and second seemed like it was ticking away in the run-up to the SATs are now just memories. It reminds me that time is a strange thing.
This winter break is especially special because we will be saying goodbye to our friends and teachers for a while, and we will miss the familiarity of our classrooms and school, which have become memories in our own time, and the people we’ve met along the way. I can still remember the nervous steps and excitement of our first day on campus.
Today, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our homeroom teacher for guiding us through the year. Throughout the year, you have stood by our side through many difficulties, sometimes strictly guiding us, sometimes listening to our worries and warming our hearts. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you, and thanks to your generous guidance and encouragement, we have become more mature and prepared for the life ahead.
And most of all, the friends we’ve made, all of us with our own dreams, all of us making precious memories in this small classroom. We’ve had each other’s support, and at times, each other’s strength. Now that we’re at the point where we have to go our separate ways, we’re a little sad, but also excited. We hope to see each other again someday, all grown up and in our own places.
Our future is just beginning. As our homeroom teacher has always said, the world is a big place with endless possibilities, and while there will be some scary and overwhelming moments ahead of us, we hope to take our first steps on that path with excitement instead of fear. We’re all going to face the big waves of the world ahead with confidence.
I will cherish the beautiful moments we have shared along the way, and I wish each of us a brilliant future, and now we are about to embark on a new journey. I would like to conclude by wishing everyone’s dreams come true. Thank you, teachers, friends, thank you all.
Mayor’s Season’s Greetings on the 20th Anniversary of the Opening Ceremony
Greetings, honorable residents of ○○!
It seems like summer is already here before we can even feel spring. Looking at the calendar, another page has already flipped to June. Every day seems so long, but looking back, I don’t know why a month flies by so quickly. In the midst of our busy lives, we have reached the middle of the year. Just as the wind changes, flowers bloom, and the seasons change, we, the people of ○○-gu, are welcoming a new season together.
As the years go by quickly, we want you to live a life driven by your own goals and dreams, not by time, and we hope that you will take this opportunity to reflect on your past achievements and envision a bright future. It is my great honor to be here today to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the opening of the district and the 15th District Residents’ Day. I am grateful that we are gathered here with one heart and one mind on such a meaningful day, and it has been 20 years since the birth of our district.
Over the past 20 years, our city has evolved from a small and humble community to a city that has made many “firsts” and “bests” in various fields. All of these changes have been made possible by the love and dedication of our residents, and every corner of the city has been transformed. A culture of volunteerism and sharing has blossomed, and the city has grown into a warm and welcoming place to live together.
The best district for education, the best district for culture and welfare, all of these designations are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our residents. We are now a prestigious borough and are proudly positioning ourselves as the center of the southwest region of Seoul. It is you, the residents, who have made ○○ what it is today. Thanks to your constant guidance and encouragement with your love for the neighborhood, we are where we are today.
Now it’s time for us to move forward into the next 20 years, and even the next 100 years. This is a precious starting point to envision the future path of our city, and a place to dream of another leap forward. If the past 20 years were a time of challenge and pioneering, I am confident that we will write a history of hope and excitement from now on. In the not-too-distant future, the ○○ brand will be recognized in every corner of Korea, and we will become a region full of pride.
Right now, we are in a difficult environment both internally and externally. However, we have the strength and wisdom to solve them, as our history proves. Over the past 20 years, we’ve overcome crises big and small, and we’ve succeeded against the odds. Now we must move forward with the strength and enthusiasm of a 20-year-old to overcome adversity.
What makes me feel even more proud today is that we have residents who are highly enlightened and dedicated, and local leaders who are always striving for the happiness of residents and the development of the region. With all these people, the dreams and wishes of our district will surely be fulfilled. The journey to a new era has already begun, and the engine of growth has been reignited.
This year, thanks to the passionate efforts of local lawmakers, city councilors, ward councilors, and government officials, we have secured KRW 120 billion in investment projects, the largest since our opening. This will provide a great impetus to the living environment and economic development of our residents. We will continue to strive for a better tomorrow, and we promise to repay your expectations and support.
Once again, I would like to thank all of you for joining us today, and with your strength and wisdom, we will continue to move forward without stopping toward a greater future. Thank you, Ward residents, and thank you.
President’s Season’s Greetings at Building Completion Ceremony
Hello, everyone.
It’s already February 20○○. The year that started with so many plans and goals at the beginning of the year has already passed a month. As we look forward to spring after a long winter, I couldn’t be happier to be here with you at this momentous occasion.
For me, January was a month that kept me busy with a lot of imaginations and plans, some of which were just in my head, while others inspired me a lot and created opportunities to materialize in reality. I often think of the phrase “imagination changes the world”. When we see a scene in a movie or a future in a book that amazed us as children, and now it’s already a reality, we realize the power of imagination. These imaginings build up and shape our lives and society.
If January was the month of imagination for me, February will be the month of action. I believe that nothing gets done by just thinking about it, because the power of action – the ability to shape and realize ideas – is what drives progress. I hope you’ll take this month to put your thoughts into action. We will continue to work hard to create better value for you.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the many people who braved the cold weather today to celebrate the completion of our ○○ Building.
The ○○ Building was built with the goal of developing a new complex cultural space and commercial area located in the center of the station area. As a five-story, 700-square-foot building with a land area of 209 pyeong, it is a large-scale project that took about a year from December 20○○. In line with the rapidly changing urban environment, we have been working hard to establish this building as a new landmark in the area.
From the design to the construction of the building, there were many challenges and difficulties. The construction was delayed several times due to disagreements between the construction company and the architectural firm and a lack of budget. We had sleepless nights and worried that we would not be able to complete the project on time. But fortunately, thanks to the efforts of the laborers and officials who worked on the site, we are here today to celebrate the completion ceremony. It is said that ‘good things require solder’. I will consider all difficulties as the foundation for future success.
In the future, our ○○ building will be more than just a building. I hope that it will become a residential and cultural space in the ○○ area, a place loved by locals and visitors alike. I also hope that it will become a catalyst for the development of the station area, providing a space for commercial development and various cultural experiences for local residents. To this end, we, ○○, will continue our efforts.
We would like to express our gratitude to all those who have been involved in the construction of this building. In particular, I would like to thank everyone who has put their sweat and effort into this project. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to our guests for taking time out of their busy schedules to be here. We hope you will continue to look after this place with love and affection.
Thank you very much.
Season’s greetings from the presenters at the Mother’s Day Celebration
Good morning, everyone.
It’s May, which means spring is winding down.
At the end of April, we were mesmerized by the blooming cherry blossoms, and in May, we are once again mesmerized by the way the cherry blossoms fall and scatter the sky. May’s white cherry blossom rain fills the world like snow, marking the end of spring.
While every day in May is a picture of beauty, it won’t be long before the warm sunshine and refreshing breezes become hot and humid. So, before the heat of summer arrives, we encourage you to cherish the moment, open the windows, and soak up the spring breeze and sunshine. We hope you enjoy the rest of the spring season and stay healthy and energized.
Today is Mother’s Day, nestled in the middle of this beautiful month of May.
On this Mother’s Day morning, we wonder if you’ve pinned a carnation to your parents’ chests. Every May, we celebrate Children’s Day, Mother’s Day, and other days that remind us of our families and ourselves, but in today’s busy world, we often forget to celebrate. With tough economic times and a lot on our plates, the days go by so quickly that sometimes we forget what day it is.
But for our parents, it must have been nothing but love and joy to understand, cheer, and support us through all of this. We often think that the best filial piety for parents is to see their children succeed, and it’s true that parents want to see their children do well, but I believe that true filial piety goes beyond that. No matter how much fame and success a child achieves, if they don’t have the warmth and sincere respect for their parents, what’s the point?
Filial piety to your parents starts with honoring them wholeheartedly while they are still alive. Today, on Mother’s Day, take the time to show your parents the affectionate appreciation you’ve been missing. It’s a great time to think about how precious this day is for us, to say something heartfelt to our parents.
If your parents are with you right now, you are truly blessed. There’s still time to show them how much you appreciate them. Don’t put it off. If you put it off until tomorrow, or the next day, or the next day, it may never happen.
It’s easy to become oblivious to those close to us – maybe even your parents, who have always been there for you and you’ve taken them for granted. Why not give them a warm phone call or a friendly hello before it’s too late?
May this Mother’s Day remind us all how important our parents are to us.
Thank you for listening.
