Inaugural speech for a club president

Hello, everyone.
A new year has begun.
I’m ○○○, and this year I’m taking on the role of president of our ○○ club. First, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you, the members, for entrusting me with this important role. I believe that this position is based on your trust and expectations, and I promise to do my best to live up to them.
It is because of the dedication and hard work of our past presidents that our club has grown into what it is today, and I will do my best to not only honor their hard work, but also to further develop the club.
This year, I have set a goal for our club to work together to create a Book Giving Day and make it a national and even global event. To begin with, I plan to work to make this celebration a tradition within our club.
It’s a lofty goal, but it came from a very small beginning. I believe books are food for the mind, a magical thing that enriches our reason and emotions, and I wanted to share this joy with more people.
I’m sure you know the joy of reading and the joy of sharing. The way I envisioned it was simple. It’s about sharing the books we read with those around us, talking about them and sharing the joy of reading. I don’t necessarily mean gifting new books – I mean passing on books you’ve read to those you care about, and hopefully it sparks conversation and connection.
True, we used to place more value on owning books when we bought them, but they say that joy is multiplied when shared, and the joy of reading will be multiplied when shared. I hope that this culture of sharing will start in our circles and gradually spread.
Over the coming year, I’ll be working with you to take small steps toward this grand goal. Specifically, I’ll be focusing on creating a space where we can share the joy of reading and celebrate it together, so that a culture of reading and sharing can become firmly rooted in our club.
I will do my best to fulfill my role as club president until the joy of sharing books eventually spreads around the world.
Thank you for listening.

Season’s Greetings from the Club President

Dear ○○Mountain Club members, it’s a pleasure to see you.
There’s a gap in one of our tightly boarded up windows and some cold air is leaking into the room, which has quickly chilled the hot tea I’ve left on my desk.
It seems like just yesterday we were walking in the mountains, looking at the beautiful fall colors, and now the trees are covered in snow, showing the serene beauty of winter. Nature always changes in its own time, and we seem to learn to live with it.
At the same time, the weather has become very cold. No matter how warm you crank up the heat, the chill in the walls and the cold wind coming through the cracks is proof that it’s winter, and it’s times like these that we need to take extra care of our physical and mental health. A cup of tea and a warm blanket are great, but sometimes it’s nice to bundle up, get outside, and take a deep breath in nature.
Winter is often referred to as a season to train your body and mind in the cold, and getting through it is how you prepare for the spring that’s just around the corner.
Last fall, I still have fond memories of hiking with many of our members to see the beautiful fall foliage. Those moments when each leaf showed off its own unique color remain a cherished memory of our ○○ Mountain Club. I’m looking forward to what other memories we can make on our upcoming winter hikes. We hope that more members will join us to enjoy the cold and complete a healthy winter hike.
We are a ○○mountain club that loves the mountains and hikes together. Members, we are a great mountain club like a beautiful and fragrant flower that emits the scent of hometown with the same roots. I feel a heavy responsibility to take over such a great ○○mountain club that is lacking in many ways. I have been called by you and stand here with a heart of service.
Honored members of the Mountaineering Society.
Climbing a mountain is like experiencing a life in brief. We go through life with one goal in mind, whatever it may be. It’s as if we set out to climb a mountain with a summit in mind, and we make a plan to reach that goal. It’s like we decide what route we’re going to take to get to the top.
Along the way, we encounter unplanned variables, and at times, we feel like we’re going to fall flat on our faces in the face of unexpected challenges, but the sense of accomplishment when we make it to the top is indescribable. The view below is the result of all our sweat and hard work.
Hiking also teaches us the value of collaboration. In a group, we learn to support and encourage each other to reach the summit. Along the way, we learn perseverance, sacrifice, and the boldness and calmness to handle situations with grace.
The mountain looks at us without words.
We learn the meaning of life from them, and sometimes we realize our own inadequacies, but isn’t that the beauty of mountain climbing? The insights we gain from climbing mountains help us to enrich our lives. The mountains are a treasure trove for us.
Dear members.
We promise that we will continue to put forward new ideas for the development of this treasure, and we will do our best to collect your good opinions so that we can become a growing organization.
We are a community that meets new people through the mountains, challenges together, and harmonizes with beautiful nature. The laughter and stories we share will make ○○Mountain Club shine even brighter.
We hope many of you will join us on our upcoming winter hikes, and we wish you a safe and enjoyable time. Thanks to all of you who don’t lose your warm smiles even in cold weather, ○○Sanmakkai can always shine as a warm community.
Thank you.

Inaugural speech by the president of the alumni association

hello. Dear alumni members,
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for electing me as the ○th Alumni Association President. As I stand here today, I recall the past history of our alumni association and express my deep respect and gratitude for the dedication of our seniors and officers. Our alumni association is an important link that connects us to each other, and it has been a long time coming, and the efforts of many people have brought us to where we are today.
I would like to especially thank my predecessors and past presidents who have pushed me forward, and I feel an even greater sense of responsibility now that I have been given the opportunity to build on the foundation they have so passionately created.
In order to repay them, I promise to lead the Alumni Association with all my heart and soul over the next year, not just by assuming the title of president, but by envisioning the big picture for the development of the entire Alumni Association and working tirelessly to put it into action.
I will need the help of the alumni community to successfully fulfill my role as president, so I ask for your cooperation. I will actively gather various opinions from various alumni members to further develop the Alumni Association, and I hope to work with you to make it more than just a gathering, but a community that each member can be proud of.
First and foremost, we will systematically establish a contact system so that you can see your friends more often. Furthermore, we will revitalize our online community to keep up with the times, and make it easier for members who are far away to participate by establishing digital communication channels. I am confident that these small changes will revitalize the alumni association and bring more people together.
With the support of our alumni members, we will make sure that our alumni association will be regarded as an upgraded alumni association in the coming year, and we will strive to make our alumni members feel proud of themselves. To this end, I will expand regular gatherings and plan small gatherings and exchange programs based on themes, so that the alumni association can be activated in various ways.
I will also do my best to raise donations for the development of the elementary school that holds our cherished memories, so that the younger generation can study in a better environment. I am also preparing a campaign that will bring together all alumni members in this process. We believe that our small efforts and attention will lead to great hope for future generations.
The existence of our alumni association is not only a way for us to socialize with each other as alumni of the same alma mater, but most importantly, we are working for the betterment of our alma mater, so you can look forward to the further development of our alma mater in the future. We believe that alma mater and alumni association are connected and growing together, and we will continue to strengthen this precious relationship with you.
I hope that all of you who are coming from all over the country, including Seoul, will have a chance to reminisce and share a moment of reunion. Please return to your childhood and have fun. I also hope to shake off the stress and fatigue I’ve been feeling in my social life and recharge my energy.
Lastly, I would like to wish all the members of the Alumni Association who have come to this meeting to be happy and well, and to wish the Alumni Association the best. We will do our best to make the future of the Alumni Association even brighter.
Thank you.

Inaugural speech by the President of ○○ Elementary School Alumni Association

Hello, everyone.
I’m Mr. ○○○, the president of the Alumni Association for 2011, who was just introduced to you by the previous president. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my esteemed seniors, my predecessors, and all of the past presidents and officers for taking time out of their busy schedules to help develop ○○ Elementary School and the Alumni Association.
Now that I am standing in this position, I personally feel a sense of excitement and a heavy responsibility. I know that my role is not one to be taken lightly, as I am well aware of the hard work of all the alumni who have loved and supported the Alumni Association and have kept it alive through their strong bonds. In my social life, I’ve been a part of many groups, but none of them are as special as our alumni association, because it’s more than just a place to share memories, it’s a place to share life wisdom, support each other’s growth, and thrive together.
Our alumni association is more than just a gathering in the name of our alma mater, it’s a home away from home, a place where our childhood memories and dreams are nurtured. In today’s fast-paced society, there’s a part of us that longs for a warm place to call home. Every time I attend an alumni reunion, I feel a sense of familiarity and comfort that takes me back to my childhood. We laugh with old friends, share the camaraderie of our classmates, and realize once again how special we are, connected through our alma mater. I am deeply grateful to the past presidents and officers for creating this opportunity to continue these precious connections.
My goals for this year as Alumni President are simple. It is to make our alumni association more vibrant and a place that all alumni want to be a part of. I have several specific actions in place to accomplish this. First, we’re going to increase our connections between class groups and the broader alumni network so that the Alumni Association can serve as a bridge to bridge the gaps; second, we’re going to make the Alumni Association open to all by designing programs and events that are intergenerational; and third, we’re going to expand our outreach initiatives so that we can make a greater contribution to our alma mater and our community.
As our past presidents and senior officers have done, I will be at the forefront of many issues for the alumni association and the school. I will work closely with each chapter to identify practical ways to improve the alumni association. I will build on the work of my predecessors and seniors, and I will humbly listen to and incorporate the input of active alumni from each chapter to make the alumni association even better. I believe that the unity of our alumni is our greatest asset.
If we, the ○○ Elementary School Alumni Association, are united in our hearts and minds, we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. With the support and encouragement of our alumni, and the talents and passions of each and every one of us, we can achieve even greater things.
In closing, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of our officers and alumni for joining us today. May you always be in good health and may your homes be filled with peace and happiness. With gratitude.

Alumni President’s Inaugural Speech

Hello, everyone! My name is ○○○, and today I will be inaugurated as the ○○th president of the ○○th Alumni Association.
First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for being here today. In particular, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the guests and alumni for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend the inauguration. Your presence here reminds me that our alumni association is growing stronger and stronger. At this moment, my heart is filled with emotion as I recall the special connections and friendships that have been made in the name of alumni.
Our chapter was founded in 2000, and over the past 11 years, we have shared the highs and lows of life together, building a strong bond. Our members have been there for each other in various stages of life, and this solidarity is our greatest asset and pride. Today, we have a total of 64 members, a number that we believe is not just a statistic, but a symbol of the cohesiveness of our community, and we sincerely hope that our friendships and trust will continue to grow stronger in the years to come. We will continue to grow together, laugh together, and sometimes hurt together, forging even stronger bonds.
I am honored to take on the role of Alumni President this year. To be honest, I had many doubts about whether I was worthy of this position, but I accepted it with the determination to do my best to repay the trust and expectations you have placed in me. I know I have many shortcomings, but with your advice and cooperation, I will put all my energy into making our alumni association even better.
I would like to make three pledges to you: I will always keep my ears open and listen to your opinions in order to run a transparent and fair organization; I will not simply rest on my laurels, but will constantly seek new directions to further develop our organization; and I will pursue various social contribution activities to ensure that our alumni organization contributes to the community and makes a positive impact.
An organization without progress is bound to stagnate. We, the ○○ Association, have always been an organization that has created results through practical action, not just talk about it. Inheriting this spirit, we will continue to respond quickly to all issues and strengthen our execution. We will value your voices and take action if necessary. Your small suggestions and opinions will be the driving force to make our alumni association stronger.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our past presidents and officers. Your dedication and enthusiasm over the past term is the reason why our Alumni Association is on such a solid foundation today. With your wisdom and experience as an inspiration, we will strive to make this organization even better in the future.
In closing, I would like to thank all of our distinguished guests for joining us today. Your continued interest and encouragement will help us grow our alumni organization to the next level. I wish you and your families all the best, and I hope that the Alumni Association will continue to be a warm and supportive place in your lives.
Thank you.

Inaugural Address by the Alumni President

Good evening, everyone.
It is with great honor and responsibility that I greet you today at this momentous occasion as the inaugural President. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the members who have entrusted me with the honor of serving as your first President, and I pledge to do my best to repay the trust you have placed in me. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who are here today to celebrate this occasion.
This time with all of you means a lot to me. On the one hand, I feel a heavy responsibility on my shoulders, but I promise you that I will fulfill my duties and serve with joy and enthusiasm. I will not forget that the value of this organization is not only to share the hobby of mountaineering, but also to deepen and strengthen the love between couples, and I will take this meaning to heart and make our organization even more brilliant.
Our club is not just another club, but a club with special values that make it different from any other club. Today, I pledge to make every effort to build an organization where members are the owners, where everyone can participate and build together, where we have a healthy and dignified culture, and most importantly, where we can deepen the love and trust between couples.
As I’m sure you can attest, spending time together in a shared hobby can mean the world to a couple, especially if you’re in a long-standing marriage. Mountaineering is not just about climbing and descending mountains; I believe it’s a microcosm of life. The challenges and accomplishments we face on the way up, the relaxation and reflection on the way down, and through it all, we reach out to each other, lead each other, lean on each other when things get tough, and rebuild our trust. I believe these are the special values of the Bubusan Mountaineering Club.
In order for our organization to continue to grow and bring happiness and meaning to even more couples, I would like to ask a few things of you: only an organization that follows rules and respects order can have a long and sustainable life. The bylaws, hike guidelines, and operating guidelines that we have agreed upon and passed today are not just documents. They are standards that we all trust and commit to, and we ask that you use them to laugh, participate, and show respect for each other.
Safety is our top priority, especially in the mountains, and we ask that you treat each other with respect. No activity is worth half as much if it’s not safe, and we will continue to be an exemplary group of people who pursue fun, achievement, and safety together.
Each and every one of you in this room today is a valued member of our Mountaineering family. Together, we will build this organization, and together, we will build a better future. I look forward to meeting you again at this time next year, and to toasting with smiles on our faces as we reflect on the promise of today.
Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the many people who are not here today, but who love and support our organization. Your interest and encouragement will be the power to shine a bright future for our organization. I would also like to express my gratitude and respect to our seniors, who have always supported us with great affection, and continue to give us warm love and sharp reprimands.
We will not forget this meaningful time today, and we will share it with more people and build beautiful memories. Thank you very much.

Season’s Greetings from the Alumni President

Hello, everyone!
It’s mid-June, and we’re in the middle of a hot summer. The days are getting warmer and warmer, and as the days get warmer, we avoid starting new things or doing things that are difficult to accomplish.
Sure, it’s comfortable to do what’s easy, but doesn’t that comfort make life a little too boring? There’s something exhilarating and exhilarating about accomplishing something you didn’t think was possible.
And that feeling of pride and excitement is what makes life worth living.
If you feel like your life is boring and not much fun, I think you’re probably taking the easy way out.
It is because I want to live a more dynamic and exciting life that I decided to take on the role of Alumni Association President this year. Of course, it’s a big challenge and a burden for me. But I believe that constant challenges will make me better, and my efforts will brighten the future of our alumni association.
Friends, alumni associations are not just a place to reminisce about past connections; they are a place to use our past to enrich our present and shape our future together. We can have a greater impact on each other’s lives because we shared a time of growth together. Today, I’m here with you to announce the next phase of the Alumni Association.
The world is changing rapidly. If everything doesn’t change, it’s hard to survive, and that includes our alumni association. We need to change too, so that our legacy lives on for generations to come.
The direction of change matters more than anything else. I would choose to build on what we have rather than change to differentiate ourselves from the rest of the alumni association, not only because we are doing so well, but also because I think it’s better to stay true to what we are and let change come naturally with the times than to try to change for the sake of change.
This does not mean that I will be complacent, but I will certainly set my own step-by-step goals and directions to realize the organizational purpose stated in the alumni association’s bylaws.
For example, in addition to our regular gatherings, we want to broaden participation by creating programs that resonate with different generations. Whether it’s mentoring programs, social contribution activities, or family-friendly events, we will strive to add value to the lives of our alumni in a variety of ways.
I believe that alumni interest and engagement is the driving force behind the alumni association, so I will put my love and heart into getting as many alumni interested and engaged as possible.
The more time we spend in life, the more we realize how important friends are. Of course, the existence of friends can be a burden to some, but we hope that our alumni members will be more of a treasure than a burden.
Our alumni association is not just one person’s effort; it is the active participation and cooperation of each and every alumnus, and we hope that you will feel free to share your valuable input with us in the future. The Alumni Association will be stronger with each and every one of your voices.
“An alumni association that is close-knit and fun”
This is the kind of alumni association I strive for.
I hope you’ll join me in striving to create a close-knit and fun reunion. Thank you.

Sample inaugural speech

Hello, everyone!
My name is ○○○, and I am the new president of the ○○ Alumni Association.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you, our distinguished guests, and our beloved alumni, for taking time out of your busy schedules to be here today.
Right now, we are passing through a cold season that is comparable to the bitter cold of Siberia. Cold waves are freezing the land, and foot-and-mouth disease is wreaking havoc on the farmers, with livestock being buried alive. But even the hardest of seasons must pass. Just as spring is approaching with the spirit of life, so too will we be able to welcome a warmer future if we join hands with each other and move forward step by step.
Honorable ○○ Club members!
It means a lot to me to stand here today and be inaugurated as the president of the ○○ Club. I feel a great sense of responsibility for taking on this important role, but at the same time, I am encouraged by the belief that together with you, we can overcome any difficulties.
Over the years, our club has accomplished great things through the efforts of many past presidents and members, and we are where we are today because of their dedication. I will do my best to carry on their values and make the club even better.
We often make the mistake of passing by many three-leaf clovers in search of four-leaf clovers, which represents how we forget our happiness in the pursuit of good fortune. I believe that the operation and development of the club is the same way. We must not forget the unity and harmony that is the essence of a community, and we must create a system that allows all members to benefit equally. We must maintain fairness and transparency in the disbursement of public funds and in the planning of activities, so that we can move in a direction that satisfies everyone.
We also need to be aware of our surroundings, and always be on the lookout for members who may be marginalized or in need of a helping hand. By opening our hearts and holding each other’s hands, our affinity groups will become more than just a gathering, but a truly welcoming community.
Dear Affinity Group members!
From our humble beginnings, we’ve grown into a strong organization that no one can ignore, and it’s all thanks to your passion and hard work. Let’s continue to work together and make it even better. I may be lacking in many areas, but I believe that we can overcome any obstacles with the help of our members, and I will do my best to fulfill your trust.
I am confident that when our efforts shine through, we will be rewarded with even greater achievements, as the saying goes, heaven helps those who help themselves.
In closing, I would like to thank you all once again for joining us today, and I sincerely hope that your homes are filled with happiness, good health, and the fulfillment of all your intentions.
With gratitude.

Season’s Greetings from your Service Fellowship President

Hello, everyone. It’s good to see you.
It’s that time of year again, when the breezes are cooler, the heat is slowly fading, and you can’t help but look up at the clear skies and get excited. Fall has finally pushed summer out of the way and is upon us.
Farmers are announcing the joy of harvest, and the mountains and fields are filled with people enjoying the changing colors of the leaves. Fall is the time of year when grains and fruits ripen in abundance. Fruits like apples, pears, and persimmons are at their peak, showing off their flavors and aromas, and with the joy of harvest comes a sense of nature’s bounty. Of course, with the abundance of food available year-round, fall may seem a little less special these days. But that doesn’t change the fact that fall is still a season of abundance for us, and we hope that our appreciation for nature will help us to cherish it even more.
It has been a great blessing for me to move to the beautiful town of ○○ and get to know ○○ Sarang, where I have been able to gain a lot of information, share warmth with my neighbors, and make new connections. I am truly grateful that these precious opportunities have led me to this position of serving as the president of ○○ Sarang. I learned a lot from working with my predecessor, and the experiences we had while running around together have all become valuable assets.
But now that I’m in this position, I don’t know why it all feels so unfamiliar and awkward. As I take on more responsibilities, the list of things I need to do piles up in my head, and sometimes I don’t know how to pull them out and put them into action. I’m reminded that the role of a leader is more than just a responsibility, it’s a challenging position that requires you to guide all of your members and bring their voices together.
However, I believe that I have the strength to take on this role because of the supportive management team and passionate members of ○○Love. I am confident that we can find a good solution if we put our heads together and share our hearts.
Dear ○○ Sarang members!
If I had to summarize my goals as president of ○○Sarang in one word, it would be, “Let’s make ○○Sarang known to more people!” The more people know about ○○Sarang, the more people we can help, and the more impact we can have on the community. We can only grow stronger with your active participation and support.
To that end, we would like to make a few requests.
First, we need members to actively participate and communicate with each other. Your comments and responses to posts on the message boards are not just one-line messages; they are the lifeblood of ○○love. Empathizing with, encouraging, or sometimes respectfully disagreeing with someone’s post is a starting point for better discussions.
However, disagreements should never be allowed to hurt the other person. Respectful disagreement gives the other person the opportunity to consider other perspectives, which makes ○○love more mature and diverse.
Second, ○○love is a non-profit community and service organization for the region and its residents. Your continued interest and support is absolutely necessary for our operations to run smoothly. If there is a lack of togetherness or a lack of support, many of the things we want to accomplish will suffer. Only by working together can we accomplish our big goals.
Lastly, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of the past presidents and board members who have dedicated themselves to the organization. Your hard work and dedication have made it possible for ○○ Sarang to stand where it is today. I will follow in their footsteps and strive with all my heart and strength to never become a nobody.
I would like to ask you to join me in helping ○○Sarang take another leap forward. We are colleagues and family, walking the same path under one goal, and your warmth and enthusiasm are always a great help in creating a bright and warm community.
We wish all of you the best of health and happiness. Thank you.

Club President Inauguration Season’s Greetings from the Club President

Good morning, everyone!
When I woke up this morning and looked out the window, I realized that fall is truly here. I couldn’t help but marvel at the cloudless blue sky. Suddenly, I realized that it’s Hangeul Day in a few days. Last year’s Hangeul Day also had such a blue and clear autumn sky, and it’s a day that can easily be overlooked, but that’s why I think it should be celebrated. Just like the air, which is so natural but indispensable, I think our Hangeul is the same way, and I hope we can use this day to remind ourselves of its importance and value.
The meaning of DREAM, which is hidden in the name of our club, can mean dream, ideal, hope, fantasy, and so on, but I would summarize it in one word: hope.
What is hope? I think hope is the feeling of expecting and wishing that something good will happen, or that something you want will happen, but hope is hard to achieve alone. I believe it’s more powerful when we share it, support each other, and act on it.
Those of you who are here today are already part of this hope. I believe that what we need to become a club that holds each other’s hands and shares hope is fellowship and trust among our members. To get to know each other, we need to meet often, and to do that, we need to participate in the meetings ourselves. Your active participation is the strength and driving force of our club. I ask for more participation and interest from our members in the future, and I believe that we can plan and do more when we prioritize fellowship.
Dear Members!
If we believe in each other, wish for each other’s hopes to be fulfilled, and move forward together, our club can only grow stronger. We can become a club that works together with sincerity, love, and authenticity.
I believe that service is not for the sake of showing, not for the sake of taking pictures, but for the sake of touching our own hearts. Service begins with small acts, and their resonance gradually creates greater meaning. I sincerely hope that we can become a club where we can share the excitement of silent service.
We should strive to attract more people to join the ranks of service, even if it’s just one person. Right now, we don’t have a lot of members and we’re in a poor financial situation. But I see great promise in these challenges. If we can increase our membership, bring more colleagues together, and create more opportunities for service, we will be one step closer to realizing our dreams, all of which I believe will be possible through the fellowship and trust we have in each other.
Today, I am honored to take on the important position of Fellowship President. As a newcomer to the club, I’m worried about my ability to fulfill this role, and I’m wary of adding to the legacy of my predecessors and other members, but I promise to do my best as an errand boy to serve you so that the time I’m given will be meaningful and valuable.
I also plan to create new programs and ways to get involved so that the joy of service can be shared with more people. Together, let’s create an environment where serving is not just an obligation, but a true pleasure and reward.
Finally, I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to join us today. Because of you, our affinity groups will continue to do more meaningful work in the future.
Let’s all work together to make sure that the true meaning of service is realized, and that we can create a club full of hope.
Thank you.

Principal’s inaugural speech

Hello, my name is ○○○, and I am the new principal of ○○ High School. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to come here. This moment will be remembered as a precious day that I will never forget for the rest of my life. It seems like just yesterday that I was rejoicing with my family after hearing the news that I had passed the examination, and it seems like a dream that I am already here delivering my inaugural speech to you.
First, I would like to thank our principal for his gentle smile and warm leadership. Your warm advice and guidance have been a great support to me in my moments of fear and excitement in a new environment. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to the vice principal, who guides me like a loving senior, and to all the teachers, who always have a smile and a helping hand. I consider it a great honor and blessing to have the opportunity to work with such wonderful people.
New beginnings always seem to bring with them both excitement and responsibility, and one of the first things I realized when I stepped into the teaching profession was how much the school community is committed to the growth of each and every student. I am reminded that education is more than just imparting knowledge, it is about opening up a child’s future and empowering them to take on the world. I am excited to be a part of such an important cause, but I also feel a tremendous sense of responsibility.
As I take my first steps as a teacher, I want to treat this position as a new starting point, not just a destination. My goal is to be a “learning teacher” – to teach my students the value of learning, and to learn from my elders, so that I can grow as a teacher. I believe that by listening to the little voices of children and discovering their possibilities together, I will become a better teacher myself.
On my way to work in the morning, I always tell myself. I promise myself that I will be a teacher who instills dreams in children, and that I will be a light to brighten their future with love and passion. Although I may not be perfect right now due to my lack of experience, I promise to study, research, and strive to become better every day. I will never forget that education doesn’t happen overnight, but through constant attention and dedication.
I will strive to be a teacher who can spend precious time with students and see the dreams in their eyes, rejoice in their small achievements, and be encouraged by their failures. I will also work with my fellow teachers to encourage and collaborate with each other to make our school a more harmonious and welcoming place. I will do my best to make our school more than just a place of learning, but a place where both students and teachers can grow and fulfill their dreams.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has helped me get to this point. I will always keep in mind the enthusiasm and determination I had when I took my first steps into the teaching profession, and I will continue to work hard. With your warm encouragement and support, I promise to be a strong advocate for our students’ future.
Thank you.

Inaugural speech by the club president

Dear members of the ○○ Club family, it’s a pleasure to meet you.
Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedules to join us to celebrate the inauguration of our new president.
In the presence of our past presidents, members, and their families, I am honored to be inaugurated as the ○th president of the ○○ Club.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the officers who have worked tirelessly over the past year to prepare for the ○th anniversary event and to develop the club in a difficult state.
I and the new officers will work hard not to add to the traditions and accomplishments of the previous president.
If we cherish and nurture the seeds of love sown by our predecessors and extend a helping hand to our neighbors, we will achieve a healthy and beautiful global community without poverty, hunger, and disease in our homes, workplaces, society, and the world.
The ○○ Club, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, has accomplished numerous service projects, but due to the highly commercialized and selfish social atmosphere and the economic recession, the decline in membership has reached a serious level, and even the noble spirit of service has been somewhat undermined.
I don’t have an exact answer to the question of how to revitalize ○○, but I will make sincere efforts with the following objectives.
First, we will make membership growth and retention our top priority, but we will prioritize the spirit of sacrificial service rather than social status in recruiting members and try to keep the club young and vibrant.
Second, we will strive to internalize and revitalize service projects such as scholarships by reducing expenses and expanding the club’s scholarship fund.
Third, we will create an atmosphere of understanding and cooperation among members by fostering bonds and communication among members. Through regular small gatherings and cultural activities, we will help all members participate as protagonists in club activities.
Fourth, we will strive to develop programs that motivate sacrifice and service and enhance knowledge, such as seminars with expert speakers and customized volunteer programs tailored to the needs of the community.
Fifth, we will focus on archival activities to document the history of the club and pass on its traditions. We will organize the various activities that have taken place over the years so that they can serve as an example for future generations.
I have set these ideal goals, but without members, and without your help, what good will it do? I sincerely hope that all of you will participate and cooperate unconditionally with a sense of shared responsibility as president, so that we can once again regain the glory that our past presidents have achieved.
Honorable members!
Our club is not just a place for hobbies, but an important community that touches and influences each other’s lives. Why don’t we all unite in love, have fun, and work harder on sacrificial service projects that are difficult to do alone?
In particular, our upcoming 10th anniversary is an important turning point for our organization to take another leap forward. Together with you, our members, we can definitely achieve this goal. Let’s support each other, collaborate, and build a brighter future, one person at a time.
I’d like to take this opportunity to assure you that I and my leadership team will not abandon the trust you have placed in us and will fulfill the duties you have entrusted to us. We look forward to your generous advice and encouragement, and we wish the future of the Affinity Group to be full of hope.
Thank you.

Season’s Greetings from the Inaugural President

Dear Past and Present Presidents of the Southwest Federation!
It’s the last week of August, and the sweltering heat is finally cooling down.
It’s a little sad to see the momentum of the summer dwindling down to nothing, but summer is finally behind us.
But who’s to say it can’t go on, and even if it’s a bittersweet end, it has its place. Everything has a beginning and an end, just as we have places to go. It’s up to us to keep a watchful eye. Unfortunately, summer isn’t quite over, so we can look forward to next year.
These changes in nature can teach us a lot. Even as summer fades away, the enthusiasm and energy that we’ve built up in it remains with us. I believe the same is true of our time: the paths we’ve traveled leave traces, but the paths we’re on leave hope. I believe the same is true of our Federation’s history.
Looking back can be bittersweet, but looking forward can be exhilarating. I stand here today with a heart full of gratitude and a mind full of promise.
I am excited to spend the next two years with the 110 officers and directors of the 9th Southwest Federation.
And gratitude for your willingness to help me develop a new look for the Federation, but also fear and trepidation that I will not be able to live up to your expectations given my many shortcomings.
Over the past two months, I’ve had the opportunity to speak with many of our member presidents as we’ve been building our executive team and preparing for the General Assembly, and what I’ve come away with is a sense of the value of the Alliance not just as an organization, but as a community where we can understand each other and grow together.
I realized and felt a lot as I listened to the challenges we face, the values we should pursue, and the advice for unity and development.
Over the years, our Southwestern Union has been one of the most exemplary of the eight districts in the U.S. Conference, emphasizing unity and fellowship among members.
Fellowship among members is also a fundamental tenet of the organization: fellowship leads to unity, and unity is the engine that drives progress.
However, we need to ask ourselves if we have become too complacent.
While the power of fellowship is important, we must now move on to new goals. Just as each Korean-American organization has had its own goals and mission, our role as an association must also respond to the needs of the times. It is time to strengthen our presence in the community and take a leading role in promoting the values of the Korean-American community.
It is time for us to build on the strength of our 12 years of fellowship and solidify our position as the premier Southwest Federation, and to work together with the NAKASEC to rethink the faltering status of the Korean American community in the United States.
The Federation should serve as a bridge and be the focal point for existing Korean American organizations to communicate with each other.
Only when we build a network centered on the current presidents of 36 Korean-American associations in seven states and create a channel for mutual information exchange among Korean-American associations, sharing successful business cases and reviewing and complementing unsuccessful projects, will we be able to achieve joint development based on trust.
In this process, I think we should especially focus on connecting with the younger generation. The continued growth of the Korean community starts with the participation and interest of the next generation. We need to create an environment where the younger generation can naturally participate in the Federation’s activities while passing on the value of tradition and experience. To do this, we need to think of new ways of communication and modern approaches.
The lubricant of an organization is interest and participation.
Let us all believe that together we can do it and empower ourselves to reach the top. Our efforts will never be in vain.
With your unwavering interest and support, our organization will grow in stature and the Korean American community will continue to grow.
In closing, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for attending this event. We look forward to a brighter future for the KAKA, and we wish you all the best in health and happiness.
Thank you.

Inaugural Address by the President

Good evening, everyone.
It is my sincere honor to be inaugurated as the president of the association today, and I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my predecessors and distinguished guests for this momentous occasion.
The world is now entering an era of unlimited competition among nations, and the role of continuing education institutions is becoming increasingly important for the development and prosperity of each country. Today is also the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in which technology and knowledge are rapidly changing and advancing, and learning is no longer a limited activity in childhood, but a task that must be carried out continuously throughout life. Therefore, it can be said that the 21st century is the era of lifelong education, and it has become a global reality, not just a rhetoric.
As you know, the center of practical education in Korea is the cram school, which is not just a complement to education in a specific field, but an important pillar that enables the diverse and specialized learning required by modern society. From learning a foreign language, driving a car, and preparing for various civil service exams, to learning skills and arts such as computers, cooking, fashion, music, and art, cram schools are becoming the practical education sites that drive the development of our society.
Currently, hagwons provide more than 95% of practical education in Korea.
This is more than just a number, it’s a testament to the huge responsibility hagwons have in the modern education system. From students at the bottom of the educational ladder who lack basic skills to those at the top who excel, they all rely on hagwons to fill in the gaps and help them realize their full potential.
If governments had made bold investments in education in the past to improve the quality of public education to match the pace of economic development, we might not be faced with the skyrocketing cost of private education. However, we are living with this reality, and we are still providing education for the gaps left by public education. This is despite the enormous tax and operational burdens that our academies have to bear, unlike public education, which is funded by taxpayer dollars. Still, it saddens us to see academies being blamed for the rising cost of private education.
We must recognize that now is the time to take a humble and sobering look at ourselves.
We must humbly acknowledge that we have been slow to change and innovate, and that we have tended to isolate ourselves over the years, scrambling to survive rather than collaborate and create synergies. It is my hope that this reflection will take place today.
Now we need to come together as one.
If we don’t get through this difficult phase, we’re going to pull ourselves down.
We must come together to become the institution that these times demand, to reclaim our pride and honor as continuing educators, and to rebuild our diminished status. We are not just educators who impart knowledge, but we play a vital role in improving the quality of life of individual citizens and shaping the future of our nation. We should take pride in the fact that the talented people we have nurtured are still making a name for themselves around the world.
We must remember that it is not only public education, but also the dedication and hard work of the one million hagwons across the country that has made Korea the 12th largest economy in the world today. Hagwons are more than just private education, they are an important pillar for the development of the people and the country.
We are proud hagwons.
We are fulfilling a role that no one else can take over.
Therefore, with pride and responsibility, we must fulfill our role as a continuing education institution that is needed in this era, so that we can become an institution that is respected by the nation and society.
Going forward, I will do my best to work with you to further develop our association and to help our institute take a new leap forward.
In particular, I will propose various policies and directions to strengthen transparency and fairness and to fulfill our social responsibilities in order to become an institution that people can trust.
Finally, I would like to ask for your generous guidance and support so that I can fulfill my duties as President of the General Assembly at this crucial time. I sincerely wish all the distinguished guests, senior and junior presidents, and the Reading Director the best of luck and blessings for the future.
Thank you.

Inaugural Address by the Dean

Honored guests, distinguished guests, beloved faculty, staff, and students,
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for joining us on this momentous occasion. I am well aware that it has taken the dedication, hard work, and generous encouragement of many people to get me to this point, and I am honored to take on this important responsibility today. First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the faculty, staff, and students of ○○ University for making this opportunity possible.
As I stand here today, I am reminded of the history of the University, which began as a storied institution of vocational training and has a proud history of contributing to the economic development of our community and nation. We recognize that this is all due to the passion and dedication of those of you in this room. I know that your hard work and dedication have laid a strong foundation for what ○○ University is today.
In today’s difficult economic times, when the importance of vocational education is emphasized more than ever, I feel a great responsibility as dean, and I have a vision to lead our university to greater heights together with you. We are now at a critical juncture in our evolution from being just a vocational training institution to becoming a center of excellence for vocational education. Today’s changes are a challenge, but they are also an opportunity to build a better future.
I believe we need to focus on three immediate goals to grow our school: Professionalism, Diversity, and Credibility.
First, professionalism is about taking the quality of vocational education that we are known for to the next level. To achieve professionalism, we must develop innovative curricula that keep pace with the latest technologies and industry trends, so that we can produce the best technical workforce and ensure that our graduates become key players in the national and community workforce. We must also ensure that our faculty and staff are supported to deepen their expertise so that they can deliver real value to our students.
Next, diversity is focused on broadening the scope of vocational education. We will pioneer new fields and create curricula that meet the needs of the times – not just what we need, but what communities and industries need. For example, we will strive to play a leading role in future-oriented fields such as digital transformation and green industries.
Finally, credibility starts with earning the trust of our communities. A university is not just a place to impart knowledge and skills; it must be a partner in the community, growing with and contributing to it. When we lead our communities and fulfill our social responsibilities, our communities will trust us more, and that trust will build our reputation.
As provost, I pledge to do everything in my power to realize these three goals. In particular, I will always listen to and incorporate the ideas and opinions of our faculty, staff, and students, because it is only when we all work together that real change and growth will occur.
Dear faculty, staff, and students!
We are living in an era of constant change and competition, which means we all have a responsibility to never rest on our laurels, to keep learning, and to take on new challenges. But I am confident. If we use the current crisis as a springboard, the future of ○○ University will be even brighter, and the passion and hard work of each of you will make our university shine even brighter.
Finally, as your dean, I hope to walk with you through this period of change. The pride and satisfaction you feel at the center of education will be the greatest driving force behind our university’s growth. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude for your hard work and dedication, and I look forward to your support and advice in the future.
I sincerely hope that the coming New Year will bring abundance and good health to each of your lives. Furthermore, may your homes and this campus be filled with blessings.
Thank you very much.

Inaugural President’s Season’s Greetings

In my mind, spring has been here for a while already, and here we are in April, with the wind still chilly, but the sun is warming up and the days are getting longer.
We had high hopes for April, and while we’re not quite there yet, we can feel the beginnings of spring all around us. In this waiting, we experience moments of change and growth, just like the passage of the seasons. As long as we’ve been waiting for spring to arrive, the first steps are always special and exciting.
When it comes to starting anything new, it’s like going through labor pains.
There’s a fear of the unknown, there’s worry, and it’s all the more meaningful when we’ve overcome those fears.
Spring isn’t just a change of season, it’s a time when new life springs forth and prepares to grow. Like this spring, we will have to overcome our fears and challenges today for a better tomorrow.
I dare to say that I, too, have been through a lot of pain to get to where I am today, and it hasn’t been easy to get to this point, but thanks to the encouragement and support of those who have been with me, I was able to muster up the courage to declare this new beginning.
I feel a tremendous sense of responsibility and mission to be the new key holder of the Korea Culture & Tourism Institute.
I would like to congratulate the institute for its efforts as a research organization and thank you for your support in allowing me to take on this role at such a critical time for culture and tourism.
The path of the institute is intertwined with the history of Korea’s cultural and tourism development, and I believe that it is my responsibility and the responsibility of all of us to continue this path and open a new future. We will have to cherish the legacy left by our predecessors, but also add a new vision on top of it.
As I take office today, I would like to share with you, first and foremost, a great desire to work together to ensure that Korea’s culture and tourism is an institution that is at the forefront of research and passionate contributions to making Korea a country of dignity and pride, a country that is stable and affordable, and a country that the world wants to visit, not only today, but also in the near future and for generations to come.
Culture and tourism is more than just an area of policy; it is a key determinant of our quality of life. What we produce through research and policy development will touch the lives of each and every one of our citizens and help them live better lives.
I believe that establishing culture and tourism as a policy, industry, and discipline is central to our vision for the future, and in this process, our responsibility and expertise as a research institution and our cooperation for sustainable development will be paramount.
Through the results of our research, we will be more confident and interested in expanding the outreach of cultural tourism policy, industry, and related disciplines.
It is important to recognize that collaborating and partnering with other institutions in other fields for the development of the country will extend the reach of our institution and broaden the understanding and horizons of cultural tourism. Furthermore, all of these efforts are not just about solving current problems, but also about preparing for the times to come. As the pace of change is increasing, we as an institution must stay ahead of the curve, anticipating emerging tourism trends and cultural currents, and devoting our energies to developing proactive strategies to respond to them.
I am confident that if you and I work together as one, we can make history as the world’s leading cultural tourism research organization.
That can only be achieved by an organization with a dream and a vision. I believe that all this work should be exciting and happy.
I want this to be a workplace where you can enjoy your work, enjoy the rewards of research, and enjoy the happiness of yourself, your family, and our organization. I want this to be more than just a workplace, but a place where everyone’s dreams and passions come together to create greater value. We need to create a virtuous cycle where the organization provides wisdom and inspiration to its members, and the members energize the organization.
Last but not least, I want KIT to be seen as an organization that is always open to dialogue and relationships.
I want us to be known as an organization that works together to find alternatives when we come together, and researches when we disperse. Furthermore, I hope that our efforts will produce results that are recognized not only in Korea but also globally. We will take it one step at a time and strive to realize the vision we can all dream of together.
Starting from this moment today, I am looking forward to the new journey we will take together. Thank you.

Inaugural Speech by Dongho Lee

Hello, everyone.
I will start my duties as the ○○th president of the Information Science Society of Korea, which has developed into the best computer-related society in Korea since its founding in ○○, thanks to your support. First, I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude and greetings to all members.
It is with great emotion that I stand here today. I feel a great sense of responsibility that I will inherit the tradition and status that the Society for Information Science has achieved over the years, and I am determined to fulfill this responsibility well. The Society has been at the center of change and development since its inception, and the passion and dedication of so many of our members has been instrumental in this process, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to lead us on this meaningful journey.
This past winter has been unusually cold, but as with every winter comes a new spring, I am confident that the Society will continue to grow and thrive. I hope that all of our members have had a safe transition into the new semester, and I sincerely hope that this year will be a prosperous one for you in all that you do.
As I begin my duties as president, I am afraid that I will not be able to diminish the stature of the Society that my predecessors have built. However, based on the trust you have placed in me, I and the entire presidency will do everything in our power to move the Society forward. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the past ○○ presidents for their hard work and accomplishments. I promise to do my best to inherit these valuable traditions and take them to the next level.
The Society’s progress can never be the result of individual efforts alone; it is a community of all its members working together. We are stronger when we learn from each other, share our knowledge, and grow together. My role is to work with you to strengthen these community values and make the Society even stronger.
As we move forward, I will be guided by a few principles: I will design programs and activities that you want and enjoy; I will respect and reflect the diverse opinions of our members and be transparent in all decisions; and I will ensure that the fruits of our labor are shared equally by all members and that they exceed expectations.
To achieve this, it is essential that you, our members, are actively engaged and involved. The strength of the Society comes from your passion, and I will harness that passion to make the Society an even more brilliant community.
I’d like to share a story with you. Once upon a time, there was a donkey that carried a king on its back. The donkey was always proud to serve the king, because people would pet and groom it because it was the king’s donkey. But one day, as the donkey carried the king in a procession, the people cheered, and the donkey thought they were cheering for him, so he lifted his front hoof and returned the favor. The king fell off the donkey.
This story reminds me of who is in charge of the Society. The Society does not belong to me or the presidency, it belongs to you, the members. I will listen to your voices and make the Society something we can all enjoy together.
In closing, I would like to say that this position is not an individual honor, but rather a collective effort of the Society for Information Science. As the captain of the ship, the representative of your voice, I will do my best to fulfill the duties entrusted to me, even if I am not perfect, with your faith and encouragement.
Once again, I’d like to thank you all for joining me here today. I am confident that the Society will continue to thrive with your interest and support during my term, and I invite you to share your thoughts and participate in the development of the Society at any time.
Yours sincerely
