Inaugural speech for an association president
Good morning, everyone!
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to you, Mr. President ○○, distinguished guests, and the ○○○ family for taking time out of your busy schedules to be here today.
It is thanks to the dedication and hard work of our past presidents and seniors that I am able to stand here today. I hope that I can follow in their footsteps and contribute to the community as president of the association and find great personal reward.
○○ The association has been a model for creating a healthy society based on order and morality, cultivating a livable area with unity and dedication, and serving as a proud neighborhood watchman with creativity and sincerity. The love and participation of everyone is absolutely necessary to make the association full of laughter and happiness in the future.
Encouragement and unity are the most important values of our association. With continuous participation and encouragement, the association will be further developed, which will lead to the happiness and joy of all members. As the saying goes, “heaven helps those who help themselves”, and when we lead from the front, push from the back, and move forward together, heaven will also help us.
We are currently going through a difficult period of global economic crisis. However, if we work together in the spirit of “seven-for-seven” and remind ourselves of our pride and dignity, we will achieve greater growth together with all ○○ people. In particular, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Chairman and all members of the ○○ Association who have always stood by us, supported us, and served us together.
We will continue to do our best to build a welcoming, joyful, and healthy ○○ Association together with you.
Finally, I would like to extend my sincere wishes for love and happiness to all the guests and members of the ○○ Association who have joined us today.
Thank you very much.
President Hyang Woo Hyang’s inaugural speech
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the guests and dignitaries who have taken the time out of their busy schedules to attend this event, and to my beloved family.
Thanks to the hard work and deep affection of our past presidents and senior advisors, our alumni association has become widely known in the community, and the bonds between members have grown stronger.
Today, I am taking over as president of the Alumni Association, despite the many shortcomings, and I will do my best to follow in the footsteps of my predecessors, who have dedicated themselves to the organization, to further serve the community, to foster a sense of nostalgia, and to uphold the founding purpose of the Alumni Association.
It has been seven years since our alumni association was founded, and I would like to set the following goals to further develop our alumni association and make it a valuable meeting place that our predecessors have built with love and effort.
1. an alumni association based on trust and faith, practicing mutual aid among members
2. an alumni association with a caring spirit of “you first” rather than “me first”
3. a fraternity that puts its neighbors first and performs genuine service for the development of the community.
However, all of these goals cannot be achieved by myself alone. I need the wisdom of my esteemed advisors and the unity, voluntary and active participation, and affectionate encouragement of my beloved alumni.
I promise you my intention to build an alumni association full of love and happiness. I will always keep your faith and expectations in my heart, and I will lead by example by making dedicated efforts to serve you during my term.
I will do my best to make our alumni association a welcoming and exciting place to be. I ask you, dear alumni, to work together and to trust and encourage me.
I sincerely wish you a bright new year, better health, prosperity in your business, and happiness and love in your home.
Thank you once again.
Thank you very much.
President’s inaugural remarks
Mr. ○○○, who has traveled a long way from his hometown, Mr. ○○○, and all of you from other hometowns, as well as guests from nearby areas!
I would like to express my sincere and deepest gratitude to all of you for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend this event. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who have supported this organization since its inception.
In particular, I would like to pay tribute to and express my deepest gratitude to Chairman ○○○ and the officers for their dedication and hard work in leading our alumni association into such a vibrant organization.
Today, with your support, I will take office as the new president of the ○○ Alumni Association. On the one hand, I am deeply honored, but on the other hand, I am overwhelmed with a heavy responsibility.
Despite the fact that there are many excellent seniors and colleagues with great talent and virtue among my esteemed seniors and colleagues, I know that taking on this important role means that I will have to work harder, communicate with many members, and lead the Alumni Association to become a stronger organization. I will do my best to fulfill those expectations.
In order to further develop our alumni association, we urgently need the generous advice and warm cooperation of our seniors. I also promise that we will endeavor to make it a place of pure camaraderie, where we can share our joys and sorrows together and share our hometown spirit.
Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for joining us today to congratulate and encourage me. With your support, I will fulfill my duties as your new president, and I will always be with you.
Finally, I would like to conclude my remarks by asking for your continued interest and cooperation in helping me fulfill my role.
Thank you.
Presidential Inaugural Address
Dear ○○○ family,
I am thrilled and honored to stand before you today as the President of ○○. At the same time, the long journey of ○○ that we have all walked together flashes through my mind like a lantern.
You all have been through a lot.
I would like to express my deepest respect and gratitude to all of you for your passion and hard work in overcoming numerous difficulties and crises to build ○○ to where it is today.
We have made remarkable achievements in the past, successfully completing major projects such as ○○○. In particular, the successful launch of ○○, a state-of-the-art advanced system that can stand shoulder to shoulder with leading global companies, is a great achievement in the history of ○○.
Today, I am personally honored and feel a great sense of responsibility to assume the role of CEO at a critical time that will determine the future of ○○. This position is a calling that I feel is limitless.
To our esteemed employees,
I am filled with great pride and even greater responsibility as our company has risen to the ranks of global leaders. However, the global economy does not allow us the luxury of resting on our laurels and continues to demand rapid and bold change.
As Darwin said in .
“The species that survives to the end of the earth is not the strongest, nor the most intelligent. It is the species most adaptable to change.”
Just like our customers, who are constantly changing to survive and thrive in an increasingly competitive marketplace, we must change to keep pace with our environment.
I have spoken here today about the need for change and the direction we need to take, but I will not do it alone. I will gather your diverse opinions and implement them together with you.
My dream is to grow our ○○ into the best ○○○○ company in the world.
‘Best’ here doesn’t necessarily mean ‘biggest’; it means to be a ‘good and lasting company’ with ‘the best skills’, providing the highest value and satisfaction to all stakeholders – employees, customers, shareholders, and society – through sustainable growth.
Dear colleagues,
The road to becoming ‘the best’ is still long and challenging. But together, we can accomplish anything. As we have done so far, let’s start again.
In closing, I urge you all to remain hopeful and courageous, and to strive for tomorrow’s glory. Together, we will make our ○○ a place of hopeful living.
Thank you.
President’s inaugural speech
Greetings, members of the ○○ Farmers’ Association.
With your support and encouragement, I, ○○○, have been elected as the ○th president of the ○○ Farmers’ Association.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to you, the members, and promise to work hard and sincerely during my term of office to repay your trust. Thank you.
We, the ○○ Farmers’ Association, were founded with the purpose of protecting our rural values and establishing our food culture. In the ○ years since our founding, we have grown steadily despite many difficulties, insisting on the production of eco-friendly agricultural products. The path we have taken is not just a form of agriculture, but an important practice for sustainable agriculture and ecosystem protection.
We have made great efforts to develop and promote farming methods that save the land and save people by critically reflecting on the reality of modern agriculture, which is based on mass production. We have continuously conducted education to revive traditional farming methods, and have traveled to advanced countries such as Japan to learn about advanced agricultural technologies. All of this has been possible thanks to your passion and sacrifice.
Our members are true pioneers and innovators who have continued to practice eco-friendly agriculture despite the fact that their refusal to use pesticides has resulted in lower yields, friction with other farmers, and difficulties in securing sales. Your beliefs and efforts have helped set a new standard for agriculture in this era and are an inspiration to our society.
Today, the importance of green agriculture is gradually being recognized by the public, but we still have a lot of work to do. Even if ordinary consumers want to buy green produce, they are often hesitant due to the high price. This is not just a problem of one farmers’ association, but a structural problem of society as a whole. Therefore, we need to focus on accelerating research on green farming methods that can ensure better yields, and improving the distribution structure to make prices more competitive.
We also need long-term, systematic support to get more farmers on board with green farming. It’s not just a way of farming that we stubbornly continue to do, but a trend that the whole of society understands and supports. To do this, we need to further strengthen cooperation with governments, local governments, and consumers.
Modern agriculture is changing rapidly. Advances in science and technology are making pesticides more powerful, genetically modified produce more widely available, and our farming environment more challenging. In these circumstances, our mission is not just to maintain the way we farm, but to create a sustainable future. We must believe that even if the path we take is hard and slow, it is the only way to leave a rich and healthy place for our children and grandchildren.
As your new President, I pledge to take on this enormous responsibility and to work diligently with you. I will consolidate the achievements made by the previous presidents and build on them to make a new leap forward. I will do my best to ensure that our Farmers’ Association is a major pillar in Korea’s agricultural history and an exemplary organization that contributes to the sustainable development of our society.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for your trust and support. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to those who are here today to congratulate and encourage me, and I look forward to your continued interest and support.
In closing, let’s move forward together for a healthy and prosperous future, which is the desire of all of us.
Thank you.
Presidential Inaugural Address
Honored seniors, colleagues, and junior members,
First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your trust in me and entrusting me with this important position. I was worried that the recent media reports might have led to a different outcome of the election, but I remember that there were those who did not vote and those who voted against me, and I will do my best to make sure that all members are satisfied.
All of you are comrades in arms who are determined to build a better society despite the harsh realities of the world, and I have the utmost respect for your dedication, especially for those of you who have taken it upon yourself to do so.
I’ve always felt that the best role I can play as a member of ○○ is to make up the numbers, to get involved, and I’m nervous about how well I’ll do as president. However, I am confident that I will be able to successfully fulfill my two-year mandate because I believe in the great executive team that will be introduced soon and, most importantly, in the enthusiasm and participation of our members.
The term of our executive coincides with the second half of the Lee Myung-bak administration. We thought that political tensions would ease in the second half of the administration, but instead, the situation has become more severe than expected. The decline of democracy and human rights abuses, the destruction of the country’s land due to developmentalism, and the breakdown of inter-Korean relations pose great challenges to all of us. There is even a sense of crisis that seems to be on the verge of war.
These times have been rightly called the “dark days of the frenzy,” with one catastrophic event after another in the classic sense. Regressive legislative attempts continue, and there is an urgent need for systematic and organized action to defend democracy and peace – a situation similar to the early days of the ○○. Our role is to keep the beacon of reason and common sense in this darkness, and we will do our utmost to ensure that we are judged as such by posterity.
The participation and enthusiasm of our members is the greatest strength of ○○. We will seek various activities that we can engage in together, not only socially required activities, but also in our daily lives. We will think about ways to provide practical help, such as lawyer activities and cultural leisure activities, and we will actively embrace novel ideas. We will accept good suggestions at any time.
My tenet for my term is clear: to help our members find happiness in their daily lives while fulfilling the work that society requires.
Dear members,
Let’s work together to ensure that our sweat drenches the earth, and our hope and happiness permeates the entire society. Let’s work together to create a better tomorrow.
Thank you.
Inaugural Address
Honored guests and distinguished guests,
Thank you for joining us today to celebrate the 56th Anniversary of the Marine Corps and to congratulate me on my inauguration as President.
I would like to take this opportunity to offer my greetings and pledge to do my best to make the ○○ Association you are with today one of the most exemplary organizations in the Americas and to contribute to the development of the local Korean American community.
Honorable fellow Marines and friends,
I have been a part of the ○○ Association since its inception, and for the past 17 years, I have shared in the challenges and joys of the organization, and for the past eight years, I have been a member of the Fun General Association, where I have had an unwavering love and passion for the Marine Corps.
Today, as an extension of that love for the Marine Corps, I am pleased and honored to be in charge of the All-American Association. Thanks to the enthusiastic support and encouragement of my comrades-in-arms, I have been given the opportunity to serve as the All-American Association President here in my hometown of ○○, and I will fulfill my duties with an infinite sense of responsibility and mission.
As president, I will actively pursue the goal of “fostering a small number of elite Marine Corps comrades-in-arms” and actively implement it.
Being an elite few means being more outstanding and exemplary than others. This requires an enterprising attitude that leads by example, constantly striving and gaining experience, and a willingness to sacrifice oneself in the name of the Marine Corps and to support each other to reach new heights.
I am committed to building an innovative and vibrant Corps, and I will do everything in my power to accomplish these goals, and I ask that you, my senior and junior comrades, actively participate in this process.
First, we will create a Marine Corps Family Corps.
We will regularize social gatherings, such as monthly meetings and golf outings, with the principle of family participation. By involving families, we will refrain from issues such as excessive alcohol consumption and create a healthy organizational culture. In addition, we will strengthen exchanges with comrades-in-arms and comrades-in-arms in Korea and abroad to strengthen the inner workings of the comrades-in-arms and promote unity.
Second, we will create an all-volunteer organization.
We will not just make plans or do formal service, but we will make concrete plans that are actionable and implement them step by step. We will establish ourselves as an authentic fraternity through volunteer activities that all fraternity members can participate in.
Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who love the organization and help keep it going. I would also like to thank our guests and Marine Corps comrades-in-arms for joining us today. May your homes be filled with happiness and may you always be in good health.
Thank you.
Inaugural President’s Season’s Greetings
It’s unusually humid today, even though summer hasn’t started yet.
It’s only June and it already feels like summer. It’s easy to be sensitive on a day like this, and it’s easy to create friction between people, but you know that our lives are not something we can choose according to the ups and downs of our emotions.
On days like today, when you’re feeling sensitive and heavy, why not think about all the things you have that you’re grateful for but don’t realize it? If you’re grateful for the people you’re talking to, the work you’re doing, and the things that require your skills, wouldn’t that make your day better? More than anything, small acts of gratitude can brighten our days and energize our workplace communities. Here’s to a June where you can be grateful for what you have.
The outlook for the IT industry is always a mixed bag, but there’s no denying that we’re moving forward. Where we stand today isn’t just for today; we have a responsibility to be competitive and prove our worth in an ever-changing world. It’s no exaggeration to say that the IT industry is at rock bottom right now, but out of crisis comes opportunity. If we don’t survive now, we’ll never survive, but if we do, our achievements will be something to be proud of. Rarity is something to be enjoyed, something to be overcome, and something to look forward to as we move forward and evolve.
I will rely on and believe in you as I take on this important position at a critical time, and I will work hard to make sure that your dreams and hopes are realized in the company and that it becomes a driving force for the company’s development and preparation for the future. I would rather run together, solve together, think together, cry and laugh together, and live together than be in a high position. We are colleagues, we are collaborators, we are a family working towards the same goal.
Now that we’re in the same boat, what else can we do together? It’s about building expertise in diversity. It’s about building new growth engines for the company through self-development and talent development. It’s about being open to continuous learning and growth. It’s about embracing change and being proactive, as change is inevitable.
We need to be able to solve problems and prepare for them before they arise, anticipate market changes rather than react to them, and embrace the diversity of our customers. It’s important that we build on our successes while reducing the risk of failure, rather than learning from our failures. In order to move forward, I believe it is necessary to make constant mutual efforts between the company and its employees so that each of you can feel proud to be a representative of the company.
As I stand before you today, I take heart in making a promise to you. I will do everything in my power to keep my promise, but that promise is not something I can keep alone; it can only be realized with you. We must stand united in our respective places, supporting and leading each other. Together, looking in the same direction, all of our dreams will become reality.
I leave you with excitement and confidence in the new journey that we are about to embark on together. Once again, I ask you to let your hard work and passion be the beacon that lights up the future of our company. The promise that unites us all will be fulfilled, and I will stand with you until the end.
Thank you.
President’s Inaugural Message
Good morning, everyone.
It’s February, and the weather is much warmer. Just a month ago, the cold winds were blowing, and now it’s much less chilly. I guess that’s what they mean when they say that nature is a work in progress.
Four seasons pass by without us realizing it, and we live in the moment. We get tired of the cold, but the cozy breeze at the end of winter makes us long for winter. It’s February, the last month of winter, and I hope you’re all enjoying the last of it.
I’d like to thank you all for joining us today. Your warmth and support in taking time out of your busy schedules to honor me with this momentous occasion will be a great source of strength for me in the future.
It has been almost ○ years since I came to ○○.
First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my predecessors for the great efforts they made during their tenure, and for the qualitative and quantitative growth that ○○ University has achieved in such a short period of time, with such a beautiful headquarters building and students publishing papers in world-class journals. I believe that all of these achievements are due to the leadership of your predecessors, as well as the dedication of each and every member of our university. Thank you very much for your hard work.
As you are well aware, ○○ is a unique type of research university.
I believe that our primary customers are our students, professors, and established research institutions, as well as our parents and the public, and it is my mission and yours to provide education and research services that satisfy them.
Education is not just about imparting knowledge; it is about helping people discover their potential and grow into people who can contribute to society. During my tenure as president, I will work with you to help us become a university that is more true to this essence of education.
In order to foster ○○ as a research-oriented university that is competitive not only in Korea but also globally, I believe that we will have to focus on enhancing the academic competitiveness of our students and professors and enhancing the brand value of the university.
We, ○○, should become a university that interacts and communicates not only with Korea but also with the world. In particular, I think we have favorable conditions for globalization because we have a relatively large number of foreign students. Foreign students are valuable assets that symbolize the diversity and internationalization of our university. We will continue to enhance ○○’s global brand through more active international exchanges and provide the best educational environment for foreign students.
I ask all of you to actively participate in building on the foundation that has been laid so far to create a strong, small university that is competitive not only in Korea but also globally. Let’s gather our strength and wisdom so that our university can play a leading role in the global knowledge society.
Friends, unity is the most important factor for any organization to perform well.
I believe that an organization that is in harmony with each other is sure to achieve good results.
I ask you to care for each other, encourage each other, praise each other’s strengths, and quietly help each other to improve their shortcomings.
I, too, will do my best to harmonize with you and devote my body and mind to the development of ○○. I trust that you will join me and actively participate in the challenge of competing for performance and results through new changes and innovations.
Thank you.
Inauguration Ceremony Alumni Chairman Season’s Greetings
Hello alumni, how are you?
It’s July, and all I can say is that it’s hot, hot, hot. It’s almost unbearable without an ice cube in my mouth. Luckily, the ice cubes seem to bring some relief from the heat, and I’m grateful to have this opportunity to greet you, our alumni, under the scorching sun.
In the heat of the season, it’s refreshing to think back to the good old days.
As a child, I remember sitting with my neighbors on the flat under a large tree in our neighborhood, slicing watermelon fresh out of the ice water to beat the heat. I can still remember the sound of our laughter filling the shade of the trees, and although much of that laid-back atmosphere has disappeared from our daily lives, being here today with all of you alumni brings back the warmth of those days. I think the Alumni Association serves as that little pause for us.
Honored alumni!
With the encouragement of many alumni who have supported me with their love and friendship, I have accepted this important position of Alumni President today. The position of Alumni President is more than just a title, it is an important position that is responsible for connecting with all alumni. I feel a heavy burden on my shoulders, but at the same time, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who have believed in me and supported me.
While I have fulfilled my duties as the ○th Alumni President, I still feel that I am far from being able to fulfill my responsibilities. However, as I stand here today, I can’t help but feel a strong will and a sense of calling to become a grain of wheat for the development of the alumni association, starting with myself. I will continue to do my best as a member of the alumni association before I become the president.
I will make the alumni association a more meaningful space.
I always want to create a warm space, and I don’t want to create a mindless gathering just because I need to create a relationship. I want it to be a gathering where we genuinely care and worry about each other. When I was younger, I had unconditional friendships, but as I got older, I realized that unconditional relationships don’t exist, which makes alumni associations even more important.
I believe that the alumni association should be more than just a social gathering, but a community that supports each other. We should all work together to make it a strong fence that we can rely on at various points in our lives. I hope that this gathering can be a place where we can not only reminisce about the past, but also create the present and future together. In particular, we would like to strengthen the connection between the younger and older generations, and consider programs that allow them to share their experiences and wisdom.
Taking the Alumni Association to the next level
I think it’s time for something different for our alumni association. I believe that in order to bear fresh fruits, we need to have a mature attitude, courage, and great determination to make self-sacrifices, starting with ourselves. I believe that by actively participating in all aspects of the organization’s operations and developing wisdom, we will finally be able to make sure that we do not add to the shining tradition that our predecessors have established.
In addition, the role of the alumni association must be redefined to keep pace with the changing times. In order to create greater value for the alumni association amidst social and cultural changes, we will activate the network among alumni and promote various projects, such as mentoring programs and social contribution activities that leverage the expertise of alumni, so that the alumni association can make a positive impact on our society.
In conclusion, I would like to thank all the alumni who have shown great support with deep passion, sincere interest and affection, and I firmly promise to be a president who will honor this noble alumni love and fulfill your expectations. I ask for your continued support and love, and I hope we can move forward together.
Thank you very much.
○○Inaugural speech by the President
Hello, everyone.
Dear fellow ○○Soccer Club members and their families,
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all of you who have taken the time out of your busy schedules to attend this ceremony, including the Chairman of the ○○ Village Dong Representative Committee and the heads of the volunteer organizations.
Without the passion and dedication of the members of the ○○ Football Club, I would not have dared to stand here today, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again, knowing deep down in my heart that today’s glorious moment was only possible because of your interest and love.
It has now been 10 years since the ○○ Football Association was founded. Looking back, I realize that the club that started as a small dream has achieved what it has today because we all sweated and worked hard for a single goal. Sometimes there were trials and tribulations, but we have come this far by believing in and relying on each other.
In the beginning, it was just a group of people who loved soccer and shared their joy with a ball, but over time, the ○○ Soccer Club has become more than just a hobby club, but an organization that represents the village of ○○. I believe that the achievements and efforts we have made together have contributed greatly to raising the profile of the village and further strengthening the community spirit.
With your help, I now have the privilege of serving as the 10th president of ○○Soccer Club, and I would like to thank you for this opportunity and look forward to working with you to create a new chapter in the club’s history.
During my tenure, I would like to focus on two goals.
First, I will organize various events to deepen the camaraderie among the members of the club. I will create a “participatory club” that not only members but also their families can enjoy together through activities such as family picnics, camping, and athletic events. Through this, we hope to create more memories of the bonds that began with soccer.
Second, we will take our soccer skills to the next level. We will create an environment where we can hone our skills systematically, with the goal of winning the city soccer tournament. To this end, we will invite professional coaches and managers to organize regular training programs and actively support our members to maximize their skills.
I will also focus on sharing the joy and health that soccer can bring, not just to improve our soccer skills, but to create a community where each of us can feel more energized and support each other in our daily lives.
Dear Fellows, and all of you who are here today,
We cannot accomplish all of these plans alone, and your continued support and cooperation is absolutely essential. If we work together, the ○○Football Association will become stronger and stronger, and we will be able to achieve greater accomplishments and joy.
In the coming New Year, I wish everyone a healthy and happy year. I hope your homes are filled with love and laughter, and once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for joining us today.
Thank you, everyone.
And I love you from the bottom of my heart.
Inaugural Address by the President
Good morning, everyone.
My name is ○○, Department ○○, and I am the ○○th President of the Student Council.
March has come to an end, and the warmth of spring is upon us.
First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the professors and seniors who took time out of their busy schedules to come and congratulate me today.
Dear classmates!
It is said that the bountiful fruits of autumn are only beautiful when they are cultivated with sincerity and enthusiasm, and I would like to briefly share with you my resolutions and operational plans as your president so that your fruits can ripen in abundance.
First, I will contribute to the development of our fellow students.
All things are accomplished through people. I believe that your network is as important as your academic achievements, and I will provide various programs and support to help you connect with each other and grow together.
Second, we will create a democratic and autonomous student government.
We will communicate with our fellow students and serve as the foundation for growing the precious seeds sown by the 1-2 seniors into strong trees. We will listen to your opinions and reflect them to create a student government that works together.
Third, I will strive to raise the status of ○○ University’s Social Education Center.
We will actively support self-improvement so that students can feel proud of themselves, and activate the activities of the student council. Through these efforts, we will do our best to help the institute achieve greater growth.
Honorable classmates!
All of you are constantly moving forward toward your goals, and although your reasons for pursuing your studies may be different, I believe that you are all striving for a better you.
I and the Student Government Association promise to support you in achieving your goals. We also ask for your generous encouragement and advice to help us fulfill our duties.
Finally, I would like to conclude my inaugural address by wishing you and your professors good health and well-being.
Thank you.
Elementary School Alumni President’s Inaugural Message
Honorable members of the ○○ Elementary School Alumni Association!
It’s October, and the sky is high and blue, and the ground is covered in beautiful autumn colors. Fall picnics are in full swing at schools around the country, and the colors of the season are as beautiful as the sunset in the sky. It’s a great honor for me to be here with you, our valued alumni, on such a beautiful day, and I’m eternally grateful.
When you think back to your school days, don’t you remember the excitement and memories of picnic days? I’m sure that picnic day, which happened once every semester, holds a small but special place in the hearts of all of us. The excitement in the autumn breeze, when we dressed up in our finest clothes instead of our school uniforms and prepared to go out, still sparkles in our memories to this day. At the time, we may have been frustrated that our parents didn’t buy us nice clothes or envious of our friends’ outfits, but looking back, we realize that it all turned out to be a treasured memory.
I think today’s event is an extension of those memories, and because we used to laugh and cry together over the smallest things in life, we still feel close and nostalgic when we meet even after all these years. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of my fellow classmates for taking the time out of their busy schedules to join us today.
Today, I have been entrusted with the great responsibility of being the president of the ○○ Elementary School Alumni Association, which is not only an honor for me, but also a sign of great faith and love from our alumni association. I am worried that I will not be able to live up to the achievements of my predecessors and seniors, but I believe that together with you, the alumni, we will be able to overcome any challenge.
We can’t do it alone; we need the wisdom of our seniors, the passion of our juniors, and the unity of our classmates. While I am passionate about the growth of the alumni association, I believe that with the support of the seniors and the push of my peers and the younger generation, we will be able to achieve good results. Our goal is not to be satisfied with the status quo, but to create a greater and more sustainable alumni organization that we can proudly pass on to our younger generations.
As Alumni President, I promise to do my best to fulfill this mission. Your generous support and encouragement will be my greatest motivation.
As Henry Ford once said, “There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who believe they can and those who believe they cannot. Both are right, of course.” Belief becomes reality. Alumni, let’s move forward together with the conviction that we can do it, and remember that we can achieve the happiness and success we dream of with, in the words of Norman Vincent Peale, “a modest but reasonable confidence in ourselves and trust in our abilities.”
Honored members of the ○○ Elementary School Alumni Association!
The name of ○○ Elementary School will always be eternal in our hearts. All the alumni in this room are united under the name of ○○, and our friendship and solidarity will be timeless. We hope that the Alumni Association will continue to be a warm place that brings joy and comfort to your lives.
Finally, I hope that today’s gathering will be more than just a meeting, but the beginning of a positive impact on each other’s lives. I would like to conclude my greetings by expressing my sincere wishes for the continued development of the ○○ Elementary School Alumni Association and the health and happiness of our alumni.
Thank you.
Inaugural speech by the new president of the Elementary School Alumni Association
Hello, everyone.
Greetings, fellow alumni.
I would like to thank all of you for taking the time out of your busy schedules for the holiday season to join us to celebrate the Alumni Association’s regular meeting and year-end celebration. Seeing all of you here tonight reminds me of our school days, running around the schoolyard. Time has passed, but the innocence and warmth of those days still lives on in us.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the spouses of our classmates who helped us organize this meaningful event. The support and encouragement shown by your families is the driving force that enables us to continue our reunion activities. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for your continued involvement with the Alumni Association.
The year 2023 is coming to a close. As we leave behind the disappointments at home and work of our alumni who started the year with high hopes and expectations, we sincerely wish you all greater joy and fulfillment in the coming year. I believe the new year will be full of new challenges and opportunities for all of us.
Looking back, it has been a whirlwind of a year since we graduated from ○○○○ in January ○○. Many of us have led busy and diverse lives, but it is truly meaningful to meet again under the name of the Alumni Association. The dedication and hard work of our predecessor, President ○○○, and other seniors have made it possible for the Alumni Association to be as strong as it is today. For this, I would like to express my deepest respect and gratitude.
Dear fellow alumni,
We are now standing at a crucial threshold in our lives called ‘middle age’. While our student days were spent talking about our dreams and hopes for the world, we are now at an age where we are fulfilling those dreams one by one, adding depth and breadth to our lives. At this point, the existence of the Alumni Association provides us with more than just a gathering. It’s a group of true friends that we can laugh with, care for, and be there for each other.
Now, as we reach the midpoint of our lives, we want to elevate the Alumni Association to a new level of warmth, generosity, and pure friendship. We want to work with you to make it more than just a fun gathering, but a community that makes a positive difference in each of our lives. We invite you to bring your talents and passions to the Alumni Association, and to support and encourage each other.
As Alumni President, I will also be planning new programs and activities to make our alumni association more vibrant and meaningful. I’d like to start a “mentoring group” where we can share our life experiences and help each other grow, and I’d also like to create opportunities for us to participate in community service in the name of the alumni association to further promote the value of our association.
We look forward to your continued cooperation and affectionate interest in the coming year. We will build an alumni association where we can laugh together in times of joy and become true friends who lend a shoulder to cry on in times of need. I hope that today’s gathering will strengthen our bonds and deepen the feeling of nostalgia and warmth of home in our hearts.
Lastly, I hope that you will always have fun and be happy, and that the reunion will remain a small comma in your life. We look forward to your continued interest and support, and wish you good health and happiness at home.
Thank you.
Elementary School Alumni Association Season’s Greetings from the Alumni President
Good morning, everyone!
It is my sincere honor to be here today with all of our beloved alumni.
I consider it a great blessing to be able to stand in the presence of such dear people.
Today is the day of my inauguration as alumni president. In addition, today is also Hangeul Day. My 6th grade teacher was a Korean language teacher, and he always emphasized the importance of Hangeul Day. She often said, “When you go out into the world, you need a fence, big or small.” He taught us that our biggest fence is Korea, and the thread that connects us to it is Hangul, a meaningful lesson that has stuck with me more and more over time.
He also told us that our most familiar and warmest fence is ○○ Elementary School, and that the bonds between alumni are the ones that were forged here.
Each of you in this room has established yourself as a member of society in your respective fields, and have made your mark in the process, but no matter how far you’ve traveled, the feeling of home and the memories of the people you’ve been with have always brought you back to this place. Like a mullet coming home to roost, we’ve come together again despite the busyness of our own lives.
I was born in a small town and left my hometown early after completing elementary school. Many years later, I returned to my hometown after ○○ years, but I stood here today with little to contribute to the reunion. Thanks to the trust in me and the active cooperation and help of my classmates, I was recommended as the president of the Alumni Association, and I was able to take office in front of you. I am grateful, but also worried and afraid, and it is thanks to your support and encouragement that I am standing here today.
Honored alumni,
We have only two pages left on the calendar, and as we stand at the end of another year, I’m sure we’ve all had our fair share of disappointments and things that didn’t go our way, but we are blessed to be here with warm hearts and generous minds. I believe that as long as we are alive and breathing, we will always have the generosity to give love to others.
It’s been said that love is happier to give than to receive.
When we look around us, opportunities to spread love through small acts of care or attention are always around us. If you’ve ever felt the bliss of giving love, you know its true value. Receiving love is great, but giving love brings greater and deeper happiness, and it is my fervent hope that the love you give will be the love and friendship of fellow alumni.
I’m still not sure how well I can lead the Alumni Association, but one thing is clear: I’m determined to be a president who practices the love of giving. I will work hard to build on the foundation of unity and harmony that has been laid by the seniors and alumni, and I believe that with your continued support, encouragement, advice, and love, the Alumni Association will grow stronger and more rooted.
In closing, I would like to wish you all the best of luck and happiness in the upcoming New Year, as you shake off all the hardships of this year. May your homes and workplaces always be filled with health and laughter, and I will do my best to live up to your expectations.
I sincerely appreciate your faith and support, and I will humbly accept my duties as your Alumni President.
Thank you very much.
Elementary School Alumni Association Inaugural Alumni President Season’s Greetings
hello.
It’s the second Friday of September, a crisp fall evening. We’ve had some cool fall rains the past few days, and the heat is gone like it was never there. As office workers on the borderline between August and September, we often sigh in our long-sleeved, long-pants suits, wondering when the heat will be gone, but mysteriously, it is gone by early September. Nature is a funny thing.
I am very pleased to be inaugurated today in this cool weather as the new Alumni President of the ○th ○○ Elementary School. I am personally honored and overwhelmed by the great responsibility of being the Alumni President. I am worried that I will not be able to live up to the achievements and traditions of my predecessors, but I believe that with you, the alumni, we can overcome any difficulties.
Dear Alumni of ○○ Elementary School!
We are all living in different places and playing different roles. Some of us are playing important roles in society, serving our communities and our country, while others are doing their best in their own fields and shining in their own lives. But what unites us here today is that we are all alumni of the same school. The connections we made in the innocence and clarity of our elementary school days are invaluable and timeless.
An alumni association cannot be the work of just a few officers, including the alumni president. It is the passionate interest, participation, and active cooperation of all alumni that makes it truly successful. With the support, motivation, and encouragement of our seniors and juniors, I will do my best to further develop the Alumni Association and pass it on to the next generation as a group to be proud of.
Honored alumni!
Our alumni association is already an honorable group with a tradition of 50 years and half a century. I believe that our alumni association is more special and precious than any other association, and the biggest attraction of our association is its comfort. It’s a place where you don’t have to stare, where you don’t have to smile, where you don’t have to put on a face. Think about it, even if you’re at work. Those hours of laughter and conversation with your boss and the competition of your juniors can sometimes be an extension of stress. But our alumni association is different. Because we are pure “friends,” not a calculated, calculating relationship.
You can’t buy the time and memories that have passed, and we share our own memories that are worth more than a billion dollars. The memories of playing together on the playground in elementary school, running to the classroom when the bell rang, and the laughter and tears we shared with our friends are what bind us together. That is the greatest driving force behind the existence of our ○○ Alumni Association.
What we need to do now is not just reminisce about the past, but to use those memories as a springboard to move forward into the future. I will continue to strive to make the Alumni Association more unified and united, and to make it a place where seniors, juniors, and classmates can truly exchange and share friendship. I ask for your continued support and encouragement.
Honorable guests, distinguished guests, and beloved alumni!
Now, under the name of ○○ Elementary School, we will be united forever. Let us all move forward with one mind for the boundless development of the elementary school and the strong future of the alumni association.
Thank you.
Greetings from the Alumni Association President
Hello, everyone!
Dear alumni of ○○ Elementary School,
There is nothing more reassuring than having a good friend by your side, and I don’t think there is anything more challenging than having a good friend. I think we are so blessed and fortunate to have good people in our lives to share our hearts with.
Think back to those days in elementary school, when you were laughing and calling each other’s names across the classroom, or running around the playground together, and you’re reminded of how happy you were just to be together, even if you didn’t have a reason to be. Those childlike moments are deeply embedded in our memories.
As we get older, we realize how difficult and precious it is to have good people by our side. As the seasons of life change, we are reminded of how precious the warmth of those who stand by our side can be. The days are getting colder. It’s November, and we’re on the threshold of winter, and we’re craving friends to share the warmth in the chilly winds.
It’s times like these that make us appreciate the people around us, and the faces we miss. I sincerely hope you have a warm time this winter, where you can be with good company, and where you can be good to someone.
As we stand at the end of the year, I’m just grateful to have been given the time to reflect on the past year with all these familiar faces, and I’d like to thank you all again for making this gathering possible.
Another year goes by, and another line on our age, right?
There’s nothing we can do to stop it.
So I think the best thing we can do is to cherish the moments we have together as the years go by, and never forget the warmth of our hearts for each other.
The reason I am standing here today is because of your faith and trust. It is a great honor for me personally to succeed Mr. ○○○ as President of the Alumni Association, but I am also worried about whether I will be able to fulfill my duties.
However, I am confident.
Thanks to the solid organization we have built up so far and your unwavering support, we will continue to build a brighter future. As long as we continue to show our warm friendship and care for each other, as we have in the past, we will continue to develop strongly and unwaveringly.
In the upcoming year, I ask you to generously share your love and friendship for the Alumni Association with me and the Executive Board. With your generosity as our foundation, we will do our best to ensure the unity and development of our alumni association in the coming year.
Our alumni association is not just a gathering.
It is a place of friendship, a meeting place where we can support each other in the way we dreamed of when we were younger. We hope that we can reach out to each other with sincerity, share goodwill, and make this reunion a fruitful one for everyone.
Finally, I would like to extend my sincere wishes to all our alumni that your homes are always filled with health and happiness.
Thank you.
Inaugural Message from the Alumni President
Greetings, esteemed alumni!
It’s early June, and we’re on the threshold of summer, but it’s already feeling like midsummer. Forecasts are predicting that this summer will be longer and hotter than usual, and I was worried before it started.
When my wife heard my concern, she reminded me of the saying, “If you can’t avoid it, enjoy it.” She said that in life, you can’t always do what you want to do. She encouraged me by saying, “You will find yourself more mature after passing through difficult times.” That’s true. The long and boring summer, and even the rainy season, are the laws of nature that we can’t control. So I hope you all take care of your health and spend the summer with a positive mind.
My dear and honored alumni of ○○ Elementary School,
Today, I am ○○○, the 20th alumnus of ○○ Elementary School, and I have the honor of serving as the 20th Alumni President.
We, the ○○ Elementary School Alumni Association, have been growing with the voluntary participation of each and every alumnus, and I believe that we have been able to continue such a good alumni association thanks to your interest and cooperation for unity, friendship, and the development of our alma mater.
Any organization cannot develop without the unity and participation of its members. A ship needs a good captain to steer it towards a better destination, but without enthusiastic sailors, it would be useless.
I pledge to work with you, the alumni, to serve you with respect, love, service, and dedication, and to work hard during my term to promote fellowship, love of our alma mater, and community. However, in order for these efforts to succeed, we need your continued involvement and support.
Dear Alumni,
You are the heart of the Alumni Association, and I look forward to your continued active participation and cooperation, and I will fulfill my responsibilities and enthusiasm to be a president you can trust.
I hope that today will be a fun and meaningful time for all alumni. I wish you many precious memories and a day filled with friendship and love.
Thank you.
Greetings from the President of the Alumni Association
Greetings, esteemed alumni.
Our hearts are heavy with the recent heavy rains and typhoons that have caused damage everywhere. I am sure many of you were surprised by the unexpected arrival of the typhoon on top of the sweltering August weather, especially in the early morning hours when everyone was asleep. I am sure you were deeply worried as you watched the land flooded with water from the unbearable rain.
My heart broke as I watched the TV news and saw the sad faces of people who lost everything they owned in the disaster. We all have an attachment to our possessions, but I hope that we can spend the day being thankful for the things we have, while also thinking of those who lost what they had without even thinking about it.
I want to thank all of our alumni for joining us today.
I am the 18th ○○○ to serve as the fifth President of the Alumni Association. I am deeply honored to be in this position, and I feel a great sense of responsibility, even though there are so many alumni with great character and capabilities.
During my term, the main objective of the Alumni Association is communication and harmony among all alumni. To this end, I would like to share with you several plans.
First, I will actively support and cooperate with each chapter’s reunions to ensure that they run smoothly, as they are the roots of the Alumni Association, and I will strengthen them to strengthen the bonds between alumni.
Secondly, we will identify alumni who have not yet joined the alumni association and encourage them to start an alumni association. In addition, we will revitalize dormant alumni associations and provide a place for all alumni to communicate and share information. By doing so, we will deepen friendships among alumni and promote camaraderie among seniors and juniors, creating a fun and meaningful gathering place.
I will continue to work with alumni to share various ideas and strive to develop the Alumni Association. If you have any suggestions for improvement, please do not hesitate to tell me. I will also take into consideration any suggestions you may have.
Your support and participation is the driving force behind the growth and development of the Alumni Association. I ask for your continued interest and generous support, and I wish you and your families the best of health and happiness.
Thank you.
Meeting Time Team Leader Season’s Greetings
Good morning, everyone, it’s a pleasure to be here.
I see some new faces today, and some I’ve seen a few times before. This morning on my way to work, I opened the car window for a moment and noticed that the air rushing into the car was getting quite chilly. I looked at the calendar on my phone, thinking that I had lost track of time, and I was so surprised to realize that it was already mid-November, because the November I imagined in January 2011 and the November I am in now are so different. I thought that by this time of year I would have accomplished more, but the reality is that I have not.
But I don’t worry about it, because when I do, I get to start fresh.
I’m sure all of you here today are also doing the best you can in your respective positions, and I believe that the challenges we face every day and the small accomplishments we make will eventually lead to big growth for our team and our company.
Good morning, everyone. As of today, I’m the team leader of Team ○○, and I’m honored to be part of your family.
Employees, when managers meet with each other, they often talk about their employees.
But what kind of employees do managers like? Generally speaking, managers look for employees who are passionate, proactive, and engaged in their work. But I’d like to add one more thing. Employees who value teamwork.
A lone star is beautiful, but a constellation of stars is even more so. I want my team to be that constellation, and I want to create a culture of collaboration, support, and synergy.
One of the most important things I’ve noticed about managers is how they view their employees. And that is that they really like and love all of their employees. While there are definitely favorite employees, the basic truth is that there isn’t a single employee who doesn’t look pretty to a manager, they just seem to love them in different ways.
I’ve experienced this in my last ○○ team, but when the economy is doing well, the organizational system allows management goals and principles to be implemented smoothly. However, in times of economic downturns, the passion, creativity, and strong emotional bonds of employees seem to be a much more powerful force.
In particular, in times of crisis, our strengths and potential are often unleashed, and I want to work with you to uncover those strengths, celebrate our differences, and turn them into our competitive advantage.
That’s why I’ll be working hard to build an emotional connection with you, and I promise to listen to each and every one of you and create an environment where every voice is respected.
Dear employees,
I want our team to be filled with new motifs of mutual respect and trust, joy and enthusiasm. And I will do everything in my power to give you an organization that is full of emotional energy, a place that is a delicious place to work.
You spend more time at work than you do at home, so it should be a place you want to be, and a place you enjoy. This is not something I can accomplish alone – it’s something that requires everyone’s cooperation.
To that end, I’m proposing a simple commitment. Once a month from now on, I want all of us to get together to share our ideas and take stock of where we’re headed as a team. By discussing and finding creative solutions together, we’ll become stronger.
Let’s work together to build a company that’s fun to be a part of and delicious to work for.
Thank you.
Inaugural speech from the resident representative
Good morning, esteemed residents.
I am ○○○, the representative of ○○○ building, who was elected as the president of the Resident Council on August 1, 2024.
First of all, I would like to thank all the residents for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to stand in this position. I deeply value your expectations and trust, and I will do my best to contribute to the development and harmony of the apartment as the president of the Resident Council.
My predecessor submitted his resignation due to personal reasons that prevented him from fulfilling his duties, and I was elected as his successor by the resident representatives, and I will serve as the president of the resident representatives of ○○○ Apartment, our home, with all my heart and sincerity.
I majored in architecture and worked for a leading general contractor in Korea for about 30 years. The professional knowledge and practical experience I have gained during this time will be a powerful driving force in the management and development of our apartment. Based on my experience and passion, I promise to handle the issues of our apartment step by step and thoroughly. I also believe that the opinions, encouragement, and cooperation of our residents will be a great help.
Just when I thought it was a sunny spring, the season has already changed and we are heading towards summer. Time flows like water, and our apartment is already approaching its one-year anniversary. We have not been able to fulfill your support for the Resident Council in many ways, but I would like to ask you to believe in me as I start anew.
The Resident Council exists to protect the property and safety of residents and to provide a comfortable and pleasant living environment. To do this, we have two important responsibilities.
First, it guides and supervises the work of the management entity on behalf of the residents. We will ensure fair and transparent operations by guiding and supervising the work of the management company, including facility management, deliberation of management fee charges, various contracts, cashiering, security cleaning, and other management-related activities.
Secondly, I will be actively involved in repairing defects and improving facilities in our apartments, which requires time constraints, consultation with large construction companies, and the full support and cooperation of residents. Together, we can improve the quality of our apartments.
I promise to faithfully fulfill the above-mentioned duties of the Resident Representative Council.
To this end, we are preparing the following major initiatives for August 20○○.
1. Strengthening the selection and operation of management companies, including security and cleaning companies, including outsourced management companies
2. Proceed with defect repair and prepare improvement plans
3. Seeking ways to efficiently operate amenities such as complaint handling and reading rooms
4. Take measures to improve the quality of landscaping, security, and guard systems
In addition, we will listen to the valuable opinions of our residents and continue transparent and open communication.
