I am very pleased and honored to be given the important position of Vice Minister of Education, Science and Technology, and to have the opportunity to develop higher education and science and technology. Dear colleagues at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology! The U.S.-based financial crisis that began last year is slowing down our economic growth rate and causing job losses, and the external environment surrounding us, including the climate change agreement, is making our economic situation even more challenging. In particular, we are faced with the important task of maintaining competitiveness in an increasingly sophisticated global market, while simultaneously addressing the climate crisis and securing sustainable growth engines, which are on the national agenda. In addition, as 2009 marks the second year of the government, it is time to accelerate reforms so that we can achieve the results of the major S&T policy issues that the Ministry has been working on since last year.
Based on the government’s national philosophy and the foundation laid through the establishment of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology last year, I plan to make every effort to maximize the synergy between education and science and technology. In particular, by ensuring that the development of education and science and technology are closely linked to each other, rather than separately, we will continue to produce the specialized human resources and advanced technologies needed for our society in a virtuous cycle. At this crucial juncture, I would like to share with you some of the areas that I will focus on during my tenure as Vice Minister.
First, we will strengthen the educational capacity of universities and enhance the research capabilities of universities and performing arts centers. To this end, we will expand projects to strengthen the educational capacity of universities, continue to promote autonomy that universities can feel, such as in the selection of students, and efficiently improve the structural and operational systems of performing arts centers. Education is not just the transmission of academic knowledge; it is a process that fosters creativity and problem-solving skills that are needed in the real world. In this context, expanding the autonomy of universities will play an important role in enabling each university to develop individually differentiated education plans and foster outstanding human resources. At the same time, we will promote structural reorganization through a careful analysis of the current system to ensure that the research institutes operate independently and efficiently.
Second, to realize the national vision of low-carbon green growth, we will continue to develop convergent green technologies, increase investment in creative basic and fundamental research, establish a global basic science cooperation network, and create an international business belt. These are essential tasks that go beyond mere environmental protection to create new markets for future industries and lay the foundation for sustainable economic growth. We will support our society and businesses to transform into an eco-friendly industrial structure through research and development of green technologies. These goals will contribute to improving the quality of people’s lives and strengthening Korea’s technological edge in the global market.
Third, we will develop competitive nationally-led mega-technologies (space and nuclear power) through a “select and focus” strategy, while simultaneously promoting future energy research and resource exploration research, such as nuclear fusion and polar exploration. Space and nuclear power are areas that can strengthen our national independence and strategic interests in the long term, and we will focus on supporting them to create world-class research achievements. In addition, we will explore sustainable utilization of resources and innovative solutions to energy problems, securing our technological edge to lead the way in the future energy market.
Dear Department of Education and Science employees, The Department of Education and Science is the only forward-looking department in the Executive Branch. I ask you to understand the value of your work and deliver results, with a sense of mission that everything we do contributes to realizing our nation’s long-term vision. Our ministry must help overcome the economic crisis in the short term, and expand the country’s growth potential in the long term. To do so, we must be realistic and take a broad view of the future. We must create integrated synergies under the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, such as organically combining the two pillars of national development – education and science and technology – and effectively linking them to build a virtuous cycle of talent training and research and development. We have a lot of work to do, and the road ahead will not be easy.
However, I am convinced that if all of us in the ministry, under the name of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and centered on the minister, put our minds together and work together, we will not only strengthen our national future competitiveness, but also achieve our national vision of building an advanced human nation. President’s Inaugural Message

Good morning, it’s a June morning. We have just crossed the threshold of summer, and the weather is already hot. If it’s this hot this early, I’m already dreading the middle of summer. For those of you who are braving the heat, commuting to work, and staying focused on your work, we’re grateful and encouraged.
This is a season of great physical exertion, and we ask you to take extra care of your health from now on. The development of the company ultimately comes from the health and vitality of each member. Only when your body and mind are healthy will the future of ○○ Education shine brightly.
I have the great honor and great responsibility to succeed my predecessor as the new CEO of ○○ Education. I would like to follow in the footsteps of ○○ Education’s growth and take an even bigger leap forward. I would like to thank everyone who has believed in me to reach this point, and I am excited to open a new chapter with you.
The way I think about education is that it is the most meaningful process that transforms people and adds value to their lives. Our goal at Woori ○○ Education is to help people do more valuable things, and in doing so, we hope to make a positive difference not only in their personal growth but also in society. Through education, people have the opportunity to realize their dreams and contribute to society, and this is exactly what I hope to achieve through this company.
In the future, we will add new value to what we do now and seek more effective ways to educate. Inaugural speech by the President

Greetings, dear and honored members of the Academy Alliance.
First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our guests and member principals for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend this meeting. Your warm attention and support have made it possible for me to stand here today. Today, as I am sworn in as the ○th President of the Association, I would like to share with you one of my life views.
I treat everyone I meet in life with the following attitude. I cherish the value of the relationships I meet along my life’s path, whether they are temporary or enduring, and I promise to serve you with this mindset. I believe that the bonds and trust we have in this organization are of the utmost importance, and as President, I pledge to further strengthen these values and bring about progressive cooperation.
Dear members, Korea is currently facing difficulties and challenges on many fronts, and we, as academics, are especially facing the sting of being blamed for the rising cost of living. According to the government’s announcement, our tutors should be among the top 20% of the wealthy, but this is not the case, and more than half of our tutors are still teaching our children with a sense of mission as lifelong educators while not even earning enough to cover their own labor costs.
What is the role of our association in this situation? I think it is to provide practical support and pride to our members. The direction of our association will be to focus on solving problems on the ground and help all our members to strive for a more stable environment in which they can pursue their education. To this end, we will strengthen active consultation and communication with the government and related organizations to publicize the real-life difficulties of our hagwons and seek ways to improve them together.
We are faced with changing education policies from one government to the next, confusing our children and leaving even our teachers at a loss as to what to teach. Despite this, we remain steadfast in our mission as educators. I believe this passion is what will drive our union forward. No matter how difficult the external environment is, I want to share with you hope. I believe that if you have dreams and hopes, they will one day come true. I am convinced that when we all stand united and overcome difficult realities together, we will have a brighter future.
I stand here as a leader representing you, but I want to be a leader who stands shoulder to shoulder with you, not a leader who dictates from above. We will share our joys, we will be open about our struggles, and we will not be afraid to ask for help when we need it, because we believe that no matter how big the challenges that lie ahead for our organization, together we can overcome them.
I will also draw on the wisdom and experience of our past presidents and advisors, and I will listen to your voices from the field. I will strive to ensure that our activities are relevant and practical to the changes and needs of the field. Your feedback is our most important compass. When we do well, praise us, and when we do poorly, we need you to be bold enough to criticize us. This will allow us to develop and grow as an organization.
Finally, I would like to once again express my respect and gratitude to the principals and sincerely wish you all the best for the year ahead. I promise that we will do our best to provide you with practical support for your enthusiasm and endeavors, and to make sure that our association remains firmly established in the education world. Inaugural Message from the President of Financial Corporation

The rainy season seems to be coming to an end soon, but it continues to rain relentlessly. Now that we are heading into the middle of summer, it seems like the rain will bring a little coolness, but the heat is rising. After the rainy season, the heat will be unimaginable when summer arrives in full force. If you’re here today, did you have your umbrella, boots, and rain gear ready for your morning commute? Similarly, life can bring unexpected rain and storms, and it’s even more important to be prepared for those days.
Today, I am sincerely pleased to welcome you to the family of ○○○○, Korea’s leading financial public corporation and the “lifelong financial friend of the common man.” Although we are a young corporation, having been established only seven years ago, we are proud to have built deep trust in the people and society by contributing significantly to the stability of affordable housing and the development of the financial market through housing finance worth about 140 trillion won.
As a result of the collective efforts of all employees, even in difficult economic conditions such as the global financial crisis, the Corporation has demonstrated its excellent performance by achieving an A grade in the government’s public sector management evaluation for two consecutive years. This is not a result of chance; it is a valuable achievement made possible by the hard work and dedication of all employees who have done their best in their respective positions. We are deeply grateful for your efforts.
Dear Employees, Korea’s household debt is currently approaching KRW 900 trillion, raising concerns about the deteriorating health of households and loan non-performing loans. In addition, even amidst the downturn in the housing market, rental prices are rising sharply, greatly impacting the lower-income economy. In this situation, the role of the KFI in financing affordable housing is becoming even more critical. Especially in times of economic uncertainty, the KFI must become a “stable pillar” that people can trust, and we must continue to strengthen various financial products and support measures that make a real difference in people’s lives.
Having been entrusted to work with you to fulfill our mission at this critical juncture, I feel a tremendous responsibility to build on the good work you have done and take our organization to the next level while meeting the expectations of the nation and the people.
First of all, I believe that all of us in the KIC family must work together as one to fulfill our roles in the pursuit of the KIC’s raison d’être: the happy and stable lives of the people. As a public institution that provides financial services for the people, we must always recognize that every decision we make and every touch we make can directly affect the lives of the people. Let’s do our best with our hearts so that our efforts to constantly think about and implement policies for the financial stability of the people will never be in vain.
I would like to emphasize several important directions for the Bank’s future development and success: First, we must improve the reliability and accessibility of financial services so that everyone can easily use our services. To this end, we will do our best to accelerate the innovation of digital finance so that more people can easily access financial benefits anytime, anywhere. Second, we must deeply understand the difficulties of the common people and strengthen customized financial products and support measures that can improve their quality of life. I call on all of you to work together to make a real difference in people’s lives.

It is an honor to meet and greet you here on a June morning with a cool breeze heralding summer. First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude and respect to all the employees of the ○○ Cultural Foundation, who have been sincerely fulfilling their duties. Thanks to them, the organization has been able to establish itself as an exemplar of Korea’s cultural and artistic community and a leader in pioneering new paths.
Like the deepening greenery, summer is now fast approaching. Just as the trees are turning a deeper shade of green with their lush foliage, it’s time for us to take a deep breath and prepare for a richer tomorrow. I look forward to working with you to make this next leap forward.
Today, we are in the midst of a period of great change and upheaval across cultures, driven by the rapid development of the internet and digital media. In the process of embracing and creating a new culture, we will need to think together about what direction our foundation should take, and find ways to meet the diverse cultural needs of the people of Korea. In particular, we will need to constantly explore new ideas so that everyone can benefit from the rich culture in our cultural cluster.
In addition, our goal is to attract more people to come here under the name of ‘Culture ○○’ and help them rediscover the value of life through culture and the arts. To this end, we want to effectively utilize the resources of the Culture Foundation and think about how to become more friendly to the residents.
The owners of cultural culture are none other than the people of Korea, and they are the ones we should serve. Our role will continue to be to communicate with citizens as culture consumers and provide them with various opportunities to participate more actively in cultural activities. In particular, we will need to build a cultural foundation that everyone can relate to and participate in, taking care to ensure that there are no blind spots for cultural benefits.
In addition, the achievements that the Foundation has made so far are the fruits of the efforts of all of us, and we will continue to move forward toward new goals by combining our capabilities. Dear esteemed employees!
Good morning, we’re fast approaching the end of 2024. The chilly winds are telling us that winter is on its way, and I’d like to ask each of you in this room. How fulfilling and rewarding was 2023 for you?
Do you remember those resolutions you crammed into your calendars and diaries at the beginning of the year? In the excitement of the new year, I’d like you to take a moment to reflect on how many of them you put into action. Whether you’ve accomplished some of them or not all of them, at this moment, our efforts continue. In the midst of our beginnings and endings, it’s important to remember that we are constantly growing.
We always love beginnings and hate endings, but it’s important to remember that they’re not separate, they’re connected. Where there is a beginning, there must be an end, and where there is an end, there is a new beginning. While we’re coming to the end of 2023, it also means a fresh start for 2024.
Today, I’ve been entrusted with the enormous responsibility of shaping the future of ○○ that you have built together. I will devote myself to fulfilling this honorable and heavy task. Over the past few decades, ○○ has stood firm in the face of any difficulties. The legacy that you have sweated and sweated for is a precious asset in itself, and we must build on it to create an even stronger future.
We should also be proud that ○○ has played an important role in each of Korea’s historical transitions. Just as our accomplishments and history make us proud today, the history we are making today will once again be the pride of future generations. To create that proud moment, we must prepare for another leap forward with one mind.
The world is changing at an incredible pace, even in the blink of an eye. With innovative technologies and accelerating digitalization like we’ve never seen before, industry structures are changing rapidly. We must accept the fact that there is still a huge gap between the level of change we have made and the level of change our customers demand. We will have to meet their higher expectations and do everything in our power to satisfy them. To do this, we must ensure that our company is ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing market and that we are ready and able to respond to every demand.
As CEO, I will lead from the front, and I will rely on the strength and passion that you have demonstrated in the past, and I will ask you to put even more energy and enthusiasm than you have in the past to create an organization that stays one step ahead of the market, adapts quickly to change, and grows. President’s Inaugural Message

Good morning, everyone.
The air outside is bitterly cold, and the fingertips are numb. Winter arrives every year, but it always feels like it’s a new one. Perhaps it’s because it’s always hard to adjust to winter’s strong momentum, and I feel like I need to arm myself to survive this winter.
Our lives are like a battlefield. It sounds a bit bleak, but it’s hard to survive if you’re not doing your best, and every moment is a battle. Just as winter has fallen on the battlefield, the situation we are facing is also harsh. But as the saying goes, what is easily gained is easily lost, and what is achieved under difficult circumstances is even more valuable. I hope that you will not be discouraged by the cold weather and difficult conditions, but will face each day with vigor.
Being here today has a special meaning for me. I am now entrusted with the responsibility of leading this company as we move forward together, and it is with more responsibility than pleasure that I take on the role of CEO at this challenging time.
First of all, I would like to talk about the major challenges facing our company: bank debt exceeding our capitalization, inventory in excess of KRW 2 billion, declining sales, and a decline in productivity due to employees’ lack of motivation.
To address these challenges, we will sell as much of our inventory as possible and dispose of it as quickly as possible, adjust our bank debt of more than KRW 1 billion, and look to reduce costs by relocating our offices and warehouses to lower tax zones.
In addition, we will push for the realization of wages that reflect the hard work of our employees, and gradually improve working hours, holidays, and vacation systems. We will strive to improve the welfare of our employees along with the development of the company, and we hope that you will remain motivated and strong.
I will make changes and strive to grow the company and develop together based on a positive culture, and I hope you will join me in this endeavor. I am confident that if we encourage each other and move forward with one mind, we will be able to create a company with ‘hopes and dreams’.
It’s a tough time, but we will walk together on a path where no one is left behind. I sincerely hope that ‘hopes and dreams’ will grow in your homes and lives as well.

It seems like just yesterday that we were making new business plans for the new year, and now we are already in March. Time flies by like an arrow, and before you know it, the excitement and resolutions of the new year are gone and the warmth of spring is upon us. I’ve been opening my windows morning and night lately to feel the warmth of the spring breeze. Just like nature, we’re excited for new beginnings and change at our company.
It is a great pleasure and a personal honor for me to be working with you at this point in time. I have spent many years in the company, gaining valuable time and experience with you, and now I feel an even greater responsibility to take on the role of CEO. I am where I am today, first and foremost, because of your support and help, and for that I am deeply grateful.
But to be honest, I have to admit, I’m a little scared and excited at the same time. I ask myself whether I am capable of fulfilling the great task entrusted to me as president of this company. However, I will not give up in the face of any challenge, and I am determined to do my best for the development of the company, and I look forward to creating a new future with you.
First of all, as President, I will stick to the basics and do my best to strengthen the company’s corporate quality to fulfill its vision and growth. We will continue to pursue management innovation to keep pace with the changing times and strive to achieve sustainable growth based on this. Message from the new CEO

‘There is nothing like a novel to make us understand the injustice of reality, the fact that reality cannot fully satisfy human longings, desires, and dreams’. It’s a great pleasure to be here today, everyone, and the words I just said are from Mario Vargas Llosa, who was also a writer who tried to convey the deeper meaning of life through life and literature. It’s also my favorite quote, and I think that’s why I’m not leaving this industry yet.
It wasn’t easy for me to understand it at first, because I was like, “What the hell does that mean?” But as I read more and more books… one, two, ten, a hundred… I understood it. I’m not a voracious reader, but my favorite genre is fiction. The lives of the characters we meet in fiction, and their emotions, show us different aspects of life that we may never experience in real life. Sometimes these experiences are comforting, and sometimes they’re important reminders to take a look at ourselves.
As we go through life, we often feel that the world is unfair and unjust. But most books fulfill all of our human longings and desires within them. As I get older and older, and read a book or two, I think I’m coming to understand this statement more and more. Yes, it’s true. We dream many dreams through books, even if they are fanciful dreams. That’s why we read books.
The process of reading books can be a lonely and arduous journey at times, but along the way, we find so much enlightenment and inspiration. For me, the inspirations I’ve gained from books have shaped my life and my values, and I think it’s because of them that I’m here today, embarking on this new journey. In fact, I often feel sad and even resentful that people who don’t read as much don’t seem to know this, because I think, why not do something so good, why not share this wonderful experience? That’s why I love to give books as gifts, because I want as many people as possible to dream as much as they can through books.
And I’d like to take this opportunity to say to all of you here today that sometimes a book you read can be worth a lifetime, or it can open up new possibilities for someone. With that in mind, I encourage you to cherish each and every book you read.
So, as I take over as the CEO of ○○ Bunko, I am thrilled to think that I am one step closer to fulfilling my dream. It’s a shame that so many people don’t have books as a hobby, even though they know the importance of books. And nowadays, digital devices such as MP3s and smartphones have led to a decline in reading, which makes me wonder how we can bring the valuable experience of books back to people.
This is not to say that these high-tech products are not good, but the depth of thought and experience that can be gained through books cannot be replaced by any device. As the CEO of ○○ Bookstore, and as a person who loves books, I will encourage people to read more books, and I will share the joy of reading with as many people as I can by conducting book reading campaigns as much as possible. Through the joy of reading, I want to help more people dream bigger and find happiness in their lives.
I am grateful once again that I am in a position to fulfill this dream. I am so honored and excited to be in this position where we can share our dreams and grow together. I look forward to building a growing company with all of you in this room.

Greetings from the new CEO

Good morning, everyone.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for joining us today.
We are currently at an important turning point for ○○ Corporation. This is a great challenge for us, but it is also an opportunity to take a new leap forward. The major items that we have been working hard for and have been ranked number one in the market have been declining in recent years due to market changes, and last year’s sales decreased by about 10% compared to the previous year. With our competitors now at the top of the market, both our position and the environment around us are in need of significant change. I believe this is a time for bold innovation and decisive action.
It is a great personal responsibility for me to take over as CEO at this critical time. I believe that the first step to change comes from within the organization, and my first task is to break down the rigid and closed culture of the company, creating an environment where all employees feel free to speak up and participate with enthusiasm. I am aware that our company has a strong hierarchical culture, which can lead to rigid relationships between seniors and juniors, making it difficult for new ideas to flow freely. Creative and innovative thinking comes from changing that culture.
In this vein, I plan to promote more teamwork. Rather than large departmental hierarchies, we will create smaller teams that can move with agility and allow for a free and diverse exchange of ideas within each team. We will also establish a communication channel for these small teams to perform independently and to communicate directly to me, the CEO, under the name of their respective teams. I expect this channel to be more than just a device for gathering opinions, but a way for employees to play a role in shaping the future of the company together.
I believe that the welfare and working environment of our employees is paramount to our growth and innovation. Improving the quality of life for each and every one of them is the way forward. To this end, we will review and, where necessary, drastically improve the various perks and benefits associated with our current way of working. We will also offer flexible working arrangements to help employees balance work and family while performing at their best, and expand our training and development programs. I believe that the support and opportunities to realize their dreams are what we need to make our company stronger.
I also recognize that as a relatively young CEO, you may have concerns and worries. I may lack seasoning and experience, but I’m ready to make a difference with the enthusiasm and ambition of a younger generation. I believe that authority is not self-imposed, but comes from the trust and respect of our employees. I will be a representative who will go beyond the hierarchy, listen to your voices, and work with you.
They say that a crisis is an opportunity. It is up to us to decide whether the crisis before us today will lead to greater danger or a springboard to leap forward. I believe that this crisis will be an opportunity to build on our strengths, and to this end, I will work together with all of our employees to take on new challenges. If we all work toward a single goal, ○○ Corporation will surely overcome the current crisis and grow into a stronger company.

Good morning, everyone, I am very happy to greet you at this important occasion. The weather is beautiful today, and seeing the bright energy on your faces makes me even more excited about our new beginning.
First of all, I realize that being the new CEO may seem a bit uncomfortable and awkward for some of you. Sudden changes require a period of adjustment for everyone, but I will do my best to prove that this change is for the better. I hope you will believe in my desire to grow with you as the CEO of ○○ Company.
There’s one thing I’d like to take this opportunity to share with you. Starting with myself, I want to support those who decide to “say what needs to be said,” because sometimes heartfelt opinions are easily dismissed or silenced, and I know all too well the sting and regret of not being able to express them.
As you know, it’s never easy to say what needs to be said. We often have a lot on our minds that we want to say, but a wall of timidity or a company hierarchy stops us from saying it, or we just let it slide because we don’t want to “cloud the picture. But unexpressed thoughts and opinions don’t just go away; they fester in our minds and may one day cause bigger problems.
That’s why I want to create an environment where we have the courage to say what we need to say. Sure, it might be hard to hear and sometimes it might be met with resistance. But as long as it’s reasonable and comes from a place of sincerity for the company and my coworkers, I’m open to it, and I’m open to yours, too.
And we want to create a company culture where anyone can speak up and be heard. I believe that the conversation should always go both ways, and I look forward to a relationship where I can say what I need to say to you and you can say what you need to say to me without hesitation, and where there is no back and forth.
In particular, my true ambition is a company where we naturally exchange bitter and sweet comments that come from a place where we care about each other and genuinely love the company. I want to be the kind of CEO that you can talk to and have heartfelt conversations with, rather than the kind of CEO who is “closed off”.
I will always listen to all the voices that you have about the future of the company and what you think is necessary for its growth. I believe that your opinions are a great asset to the development of this company. In the future, we will reach higher goals as a team, and I sincerely ask you to always be honest with me and with each other.

Short inaugural remarks from the CEO

Good morning, everyone.
We are already halfway through the year. It’s already June, and summer is just around the corner, and time is flying by. While we don’t realize it, nature is changing seasons and showing us a new side of itself, which reminds us of the meaning of time. I’m reminded of why the ancients likened the speed of time to an arrow in the air. Before I know it, we’ve moved past spring and are heading into the hot summer months.
And now I find myself at the center of a new change. It is with great pleasure that I greet you today for the first time.
Throughout my years of training and experience, I’ve learned how to handle company crises, how to generate revenue, and how to differentiate ourselves from our competitors. But over time, I’ve come to realize that there is one thing that is more important than any of these challenges: communication. No matter how great a strategy you have, it won’t work without teamwork, which is why I believe the solution to every problem lies in conversation.
Conversation is what allows us to understand each other, build trust, and solve problems. I believe that most conflicts in companies stem from a lack of communication, and I’ve seen many instances where the inability to openly communicate leads to misunderstandings, which in turn leads to stress and broken relationships.
So I’m making a plea to you. Please be open to talking to the coworker next to you, and please be open to talking to me. Nothing gets done without good communication, and I’m convinced that the camaraderie that springs from heartfelt conversations is the foundation for greater achievement.
I challenge you to start having more conversations today, and let’s build on those conversations and work together to make our company even better.

In particular, as companies in Korea and abroad are focusing on antibody drug development, it will be an important time for us to capitalize on this and make a comeback through the early operation of our ○○ branch.

Good morning, everyone.
First, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you for entrusting me with this great responsibility. I believe the only way to repay this favor and trust is to do my utmost to help the company take off and grow.
As I sit here today, I’ve been thinking deeply about what it takes for a company to make positive changes and sustainable growth, and after much thought, I’ve come to the conclusion that the first issue we need to address in order to change and innovate is to break down the hierarchy that weighs down organizations and hinders progress.
One of the long-standing problems in Korean companies is the custom of being driven by rank and seniority, which prevents employees from fully utilizing their capabilities and creates an environment where position and seniority are prioritized over merit. At my company, we introduced meritocracy a few years ago, but it’s still nominal, and we still have a culture of hierarchy. The reality is that junior employees are expected to follow orders without being able to fully utilize their creativity and passion.
The biggest problem with hierarchy is that it stifles autonomy, creativity, and silences the voices of lower-level employees. People with diverse strengths and talents end up being passive and passive-aggressive. We believe that breaking down hierarchy and establishing a meritocracy and task-based culture will transform our company into a younger, more vibrant organization.
It’s time for the company to change. While we will cherish our traditions, we need to reinvent ourselves as a company with a youthful vision and unlimited potential for change. This change is not just a slogan or campaign-level effort. We will make real changes to bring back the dynamism of the organization and unite the entire company towards a single goal. A reservoir that is blocked on all sides can never flow into the sea, and we need to become a flexible organization that can flow, not stand still.
We will create an environment where discussions and opinions are more open, and where creative and unique ideas are respected. Of course, we recognize that the experience and wisdom of our seniors, who have shaped the company’s traditions and growth, are invaluable assets, and that it is important to listen to their opinions and advice. The more experienced seniors will serve as reliable mentors for the development of the company, and in doing so, we will build a stronger organizational culture.
At a time when we all need to keep moving forward, we can’t afford to get stuck in the past and look back. In today’s era of unlimited competition, if we stumble even for a moment, we will be overtaken by our competitors before we can get back on our feet. Perhaps the feeling of time passing quickly is a sensation that only comes to those who cherish and value it.
I know we’re here today to celebrate my inauguration. But what you’re giving me is more than just congratulations, it’s a pledge of commitment and dedication. I hope you’ll think of this as a time to prepare for the next big leap into the future of the company we’ll all be building together.
They say you’re most enthusiastic when you join a company as a new hire, and that’s certainly true for me. Today, I step into the role of CEO with a fresh start, and I’m more enthusiastic and determined than ever. Together with all of you here, I will work tirelessly to fulfill our company’s vision and reignite the passion that has been lost, or perhaps even dampened, in the past.
I have a dream of building the ideal company. Presidential Inauguration Presidential Season’s Greetings

Good morning, everyone.
It’s April, the sun is warm but there’s still a chill in the air. We’ve passed the Chinese New Year, but it’s still a little early to fully feel spring. But we’re excited to say that starting this weekend, we’ll be able to feel the full force of spring. I believe that spring begins not only in the wind, but in our hearts, and I’m sure it’s waiting for you, too. If you’re not ready for the season, I hope you’ll be the first to embrace it.
Today, as president of ○○ University, a world-class scientific research university, I would like to share with you my aspirations for the future. First of all, I would like to thank my predecessors for their hard work during their tenure, which has resulted in the remarkable growth of the university in such a short period of time, from having a beautiful headquarters building to having many of our students publish in world-class journals.
As you are well aware, we are a unique research-oriented graduate school. Although it is small in size, in order to develop into a research-oriented university that is competitive in Korea and abroad, we will need to focus on strengthening the academic competitiveness of our professors and students and enhancing the brand value of the university. In addition, I believe it is very important to build a systematic and open network so that professors and students who are passionate about their studies can actively communicate with each other across 10 campuses in Korea and abroad. ○○U should be a university that interacts and communicates not only with Korea but also with the world, and I think we have favorable conditions for globalization, especially since we have a relatively large number of foreign students.
Based on the foundation you have built, I would like to ask you to actively participate in our journey to grow into a small but competitive university in Korea and the world. The size of a school or the number of students does not automatically guarantee competitiveness; it is the energy that radiates from within it that is important, and I am confident that although we are small, your passion and energy are stronger than any other university.
Lastly, for any organization to perform well, unity is crucial. I ask for a warm and caring culture where we encourage and care for each other, praise each other for our strengths and quietly help each other with our weaknesses. Only with this spirit of unity will our university be able to achieve even greater things.
