Example principal inauguration speech

Dear students, I am very pleased to be here today as the ○th principal of ○○ Middle School, and as the newest principal in our school, I stand here with the determination to be your partner in making your future shine brighter as we begin a new semester and a new school year.
Today marks the first day of a new school year and a new semester, and on this momentous occasion, I’d like to share a few words with you.
First, to our new students, I would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to all of you who have traveled a long road of preparation and hard work to get to this point. I know that the new school life may be a bit unfamiliar and challenging, but I hope that you will be able to overcome this and grow into a more mature person in the future. I also hope that you, the seniors, will warmly guide and help the new students adjust to the school life. Please remember that the traditions and values of our school can only be continued if new and returning students work together to build mutual respect, understanding, and friendship.
Through your studies, your relationships with friends, clubs, and various on-campus programs, you will become more mature and gain new perspectives. Our goal at ○○ Junior High School is not just to impart knowledge; we aim to help you learn to live together, to think for yourself, and to understand and care for others. Therefore, I urge you to actively participate in all activities and take one step at a time to achieve your dreams and goals.
There is a common saying, “If you put the first button on wrong, there is no place for the last button. If you get the first button wrong, everything else starts to go wrong. It’s all about getting started, so I want you to get off on the right foot by setting goals and working towards them at this point in your life. The right start will lead to good results, and those experiences will make you a bigger person.
We also want you to dream big. Before Bruce Lee, the famous Chinese actor, became a world-renowned actor, there was a time when he too had a dream. He knew he would become a famous actor in Hollywood, and he set out to make it happen. He not only kept his dream close to his heart, but he worked hard to make it a reality, and eventually made a name for himself in Hollywood and around the world. His story shows us how important it is to chase your dreams.
Like Bruce Lee, we want you to be the kind of person who crystallizes your dreams and keeps working toward them. Your dreams may seem far away, but if you take them one step at a time with steady effort and passion, they will become a reality. Dear students of ○○ Middle School, I believe that the various challenges that lie ahead of you will all bring you great learning and growth. I hope you will believe in your own potential and never give up in the face of the challenges ahead.
Finally, I will strive to make this school a better place for you to learn. We are all colleagues in the same boat, ○○ Middle School, dreaming and growing together. In this journey together, I promise to always support you so that you can face the world with confidence.
As we embark on a new year, a new semester, and a new beginning, I sincerely wish all of our students a time of further growth and dreams, and I hope that our school will become an even more enjoyable and happy place to learn. It is a pleasure to see you all once again, thank you.

Example inaugural speech for a female principal

Hello, everyone. My name is ○○○, and as I stand here today, I am excited to reflect on my journey as an educator and the new opportunities that lie ahead. After 33 years of education in Osaka, Fukushima, and Kyoto, I feel a deep sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for the opportunity to serve you as principal of ○○ Girls’ High School.
This school is the cradle of women’s education in Japan and a prestigious school that has produced countless talented individuals. I have come to this position with the intention of creating a new wind as principal, and I will do my best to create a school that grows together with you, and a school that shines even brighter in connection with the local community. My goal is to create an educational environment where students can develop academics, character, and dreams together.
I promise to be a coordinator who listens to the voices of parents, teachers, and students; to be responsible for the educational direction of the school, while practicing harmonious and flexible school management that reflects your opinions; and to be a leader in carving a new path as an emerging prestigious girls’ school and an administrator who solidifies the foundation of education.
There is an old saying, ‘Mountains are mountains, but they are not the mountains they used to be, and water is water, but it is not the water it used to be.’ I believe that our education, like the ever-changing and flowing river, must always find a new path. Just as the clear waters of the Gamcheon Valley flow together to form a large river, I will help our students to grow further by gathering their dreams and passions. I will always be with you so that the future you dream of can become a reality.
I will do everything in my power to ensure that you experience “living education, moving education, and dreaming education.” I will also strengthen the school’s internal system, pay close attention to the welfare of staff and students, and practice warm and open administration. Because a school is a place where we work together and grow together, I will help us establish ourselves as a community that understands each other’s hearts and works together.
Like a star shining in the western sky, I will guide our students to become the light and hope of the world, and I will hold the torch of truth high so that you can move forward with strength toward your goals. I hope that the light of hope that spreads like a westering sun will permeate every corner of this school, and I ask for your active interest and cooperation.
Girls’ high schools are not all the same, and just as each school has its own color and history, ○○ Girls’ High School has built a deep educational tradition over the years. I have been to many girls’ high schools, but I find deeper meaning in this one, and I will continue to work with our staff to make every student here proud.
Educating children is a very important task. As the saying goes, it’s harder to raise a child than it is to give birth to one, and I believe that raising a child correctly is at the heart of education. I hope that you, I, and all the staff at the school will work together to help students succeed in their studies and careers. Together, we can overcome any challenge. I believe that together, we will make this a place of education like no other.
We will continue to provide an education that will instill in our students the mindset to challenge themselves and the courage to not give up even in difficult situations. We will always do our best to help them become dignified students of ○○ Girls’ High School who can overcome any trial with the spirit of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Thank you very much.

Inaugural speech by the principal of ○○ High School

Good afternoon, I would like to take this opportunity to thank and greet you as I take over as the principal of ○○ High School for Girls. I am truly honored to be a part of this school family. I would like to thank the students, staff, parents, alumni, and community members for joining us today.
As I stand here today, I am reminded of our mission to ensure that schools are not just places to teach academics, but places where students can nurture their dreams and prepare for their own futures. I believe that true education is about helping students enjoy learning, and more importantly, helping them grow into people of good character, so I ask all of you – staff, parents, and community members – to join me in believing in and encouraging our students so that they can come to school with a sense of belonging.
The first request I would like to make to students today is that they should not think of school as a place for studying only, but as a place to learn and experience life together. School is not just a place to acquire knowledge, but a place to learn life wisdom and how to communicate with others. I think it is an important role of teachers to help our students live a happy life in society after graduation, and to grow into healthy citizens who can take responsibility for their own lives. I ask teachers to warmly guide students to realize and understand the world, not just the knowledge in books. I want you to work hard in your studies, but I also want you to explore your own life goals and dreams.
Recently, the phrase “entrance examination war” has been heard frequently in our society, and every time I hear it, my heart is heavy. Compared to when I first started teaching, students today often lose themselves in more pressure and competition. It’s not their fault – the times and society have done that to them – but I sincerely hope that this school will be a place for you to grow and explore, not just compete. It is my hope that you will find the space to look beyond the mere “entrance exam” and dream big in life.
Your dreams, my dear students, are no small thing, and the greatest power of youth lies in its endless possibilities. I hope that you will find the courage to find your dreams and realize them, and that you will never have to go it alone, and that you will always be able to ask for help and advice. The staff and the school will always be there to support you, and as your principal, I will do everything in my power to help you realize your full potential.
Finally, I would like to thank the staff for their dedication to our school and the parents and community for their support. I will continue to do my best to make ○○ High School a school that everyone can be proud of.
Thank you.

Hello, everyone.
At this moment, after a long hot summer, I am very pleased and honored to stand here and take over as the new principal of ○○ High School. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff, students, and parents for welcoming me.
We are now facing the critical need of the times to cultivate human resources with creativity and competitiveness in the 21st century knowledge and information society. My greatest goal is to work with you to build a “creative prestigious school where dreams and happiness are realized in love and respect. Our school will be a place where the value of learning is realized in the green and beautiful nature where flowers bloom and trees grow in every season. The staff will be expected to provide quality education to students through creative and spontaneous work in a harmonious atmosphere.
For our students, we will provide an environment where they can focus on their studies in clean and organized classrooms, and we will strengthen wellness education that emphasizes both physical and mental health. It is our role and duty to help each student reach his or her full potential. To this end, we will respect the teaching know-how and experience of our teachers, and continue to explore new ways of teaching through dialogue and discussion.
I will also be proactive in strengthening our school’s close working relationship with parents and the community. We are an important part of the community, and I believe that the active involvement and interest of parents and the community has a positive impact on our students. To this end, I will promote the activities of parent volunteer groups and youth organizations, open our school facilities to provide a variety of educational programs, and strive to create a variety of opportunities to instill real dreams and hopes in our students.
I intend to lead this school with love and care, and while this dream is not something I can accomplish alone, I believe it is possible with the dedication and cooperation of our staff and the support of our students and parents. Let’s work together and do our best to lead our school to a better future.
It is my sincere hope that we can all realize the dream of a beautiful and happy school. Thank you.

Principal’s Inaugural Address

My dear students! We’ve had unusually hot weather all summer long, and I hope you’ve all had a good, healthy break. Now that it’s over and we’re back in school, you may still be wishing it was just a little bit longer, but I hope you’re grateful to be back in school and ready for the new semester. Remember your teacher’s request at the winter break ceremony, “Let’s cherish the years” – a promise to value our time and make good use of it. We need to think deeply about how we spend our time in the here and now and make good use of it, because once it’s gone, we can’t get it back.
So here we are, back at the start of an energizing second semester. I am so happy and grateful to be standing here with you today, and I also realize that starting this semester, I will be taking on an important position from the school corporation, and I feel a great responsibility. I promise that I will do my best to work with our wonderful teachers to make our school a happier and more meaningful place. I will also do my best to carry on the spirit of the lessons of our school and help you put them into practice in your lives, because school is more than just a place to impart knowledge, it is a place that can guide you in your life.
I want you to be happy, first and foremost, in the classroom, which is the center of your life. The classroom is where you and your classmates spend much of your day together, where you nurture your dreams and learn new things. I want this classroom to be a place of respect, love, and compassion. I want it to be a place where you feel motivated to learn for yourself, where you are excited to take on challenges, where we recognize and respect each other’s differences, and where every student can reach their full potential.
More than that, I want it to be a classroom where we learn from the Bible as the source of wisdom and knowledge. More than just a religious text, the Bible is an invaluable source of wisdom that helps us make wise judgments and act appropriately in our lives. I want you to learn life wisdom that goes beyond academics, and I want you to experience school life enriched by the warmth and respect we show for one another. I want this to be a place where you enjoy coming to school, a place where parents feel safe leaving their children, and a place where, when you graduate, you will look back on your middle school years with fondness and pride.
Furthermore, we hope that you will leave here with cherished memories and learn wisdom and knowledge that will last a lifetime. We will strive to make this school a place where you can discover your dreams and envision your future through your studies, where you can support and encourage each other, and where you can look back on this school after you graduate and say, “We were so happy back then, and we were able to learn and find valuable dreams, and that experience became an important foundation for my life.”
I ask for your prayers that I may be wise and humble enough to fulfill this mission, and I thank you all for your support. I wish you a happy and fruitful second semester. Thank you.

Principal’s inaugural address at the inauguration ceremony

Good morning, everyone. It is a great pleasure to be here with you today. This is my first time meeting you as a new principal, and I am looking forward to the time we will have together.
As I look forward to the years ahead, I have a number of goals and visions for our school, and I hope to be able to help you grow in your abilities and be close to you as you fulfill your dreams. I also hope that our school will not only be a place of learning for you, but also a place where you learn to value each other.
However, I also feel a little sad that some of you don’t seem to have enough love for our school yet. Of course, as someone who has been in school for a long time, I can’t force love easily, but I believe that if you truly care about and love your school, you will have a greater sense of pride and motivation to reach your goals.
You are the owner of our school, and we will do everything we can to support you, but you are also the owner of your own learning. You are expected to be intellectually curious and excited about learning, to be self-directed in your studies, and to showcase your talents and abilities through extracurricular, enrichment, and classroom activities.
Everyone has different abilities. You should always have a positive self-concept that likes and respects yourself first, and develop the courage and drive to not be afraid of failure. Failure is just part of the process, and it’s during this process that you will discover your strengths and improve your weaknesses. Take a little of that love for yourself and invest it in loving your school.
School is a place where you develop not only knowledge, but also social skills and a sense of community. If you truly love your school, take responsibility as a member of the community, and move forward together, your growth will translate into pride in your school. Your school will do anything for you, and will always be there to help, so please do the same for your school. I’m not asking you to invest financially in your school, but I am asking you to care and love your school a little more. If you do, you will wear your uniform, you won’t do anything embarrassing, you will keep your school facilities clean, and you will be able to study in a pleasant environment.
Finally, I apologize for being bitter on the first day, but the most important thing I want to say is to love your school. Remember, how much you care and love your school will determine what it can do for you. Let’s respect each other and love our school together so that we can all be proud of our school.
With your hard work and heart, we hope that ○○ High School will become a place you are proud to call home, and we look forward to walking the path of growing ○○ people together. Thank you.

I will also strive to improve teacher morale and strengthen their professionalism through academic improvement programs and the pilot school management excellence program.

We hope that you will join us on this journey to open up the future together. Thank you.

Inaugural speech by the Auditor General

Dear Audit Korea employees, I stand before you as the head of Korea’s top audit organization, having been confirmed by the National Assembly through the first-ever confirmation hearings for an Auditor General. As the first Auditor General of Korea, I am honored to be entrusted with the responsibility of the long history and constitutional independence of the Audit Service, but at the same time, I am filled with a heavy sense of duty and new resolve.
I am also pleased to be working with the staff of the Office of the Auditor General, who have dedicated themselves to establishing national accounting order and public integrity under difficult circumstances. Having been in the position of being audited by you for the past ○ years, I understand you better than anyone else and have a special affection and expectation for you. I am now a member of the National Audit Office family and look forward to working with you to build a bright future for the organization.
I believe that the National Audit Office has been playing an important role in establishing the principles and fundamentals of national management for more than half a century since the establishment of the Korean government, amidst a whirlwind of history. We are now living in an era of globalization and openness. In order to survive the fierce competition of the survival of the fittest, it is an urgent task to marshal national capabilities through a sense of responsibility and social integration necessary to leap forward as a world-class nation in the 21st century.
However, the reality is that law and order is not properly maintained, inefficiency and collective self-interest are rampant in society, and major national policies and reforms are often delayed or thwarted. Under these circumstances, I believe that the work of the National Audit Office is more important than ever, and that we need to renew our attitude and attitude.
The public has placed great expectations on us. I believe that my appointment as Auditor General at such a critical time is in response to the call of the times and the people’s desire to open up a bright future for Korea by eliminating inefficiencies across the state, realizing social justice through state reform, and establishing a transparent market economy order.
The National Audit Office should play a role in finding and resolving public discomfort and anxiety, and healing pathologies in various parts of society. It should also check and encourage the proper formulation and implementation of strategies to survive in the fierce competition of the globalization era. To do so, the National Audit Office must sometimes be a microscope to observe in detail, and sometimes a telescope to look into the future.
Dear Audit staff, I would like to take this opportunity today to share with you, as the Chief Executive Officer of the Audit Office, some of my thoughts and envisions for the future of the Audit Office.
First, in order to safeguard the constitutional status and professional independence of the National Audit Office, we will thoroughly reject any unwarranted interference and drafts. The political neutrality and professional independence of the National Audit Office are not protected by law alone. They can only be safeguarded by the united will and sense of mission of all of us. Only when the independence that our predecessors fought so hard to preserve is firmly rooted will we be able to audit without sanctuary, and we will be able to become an organization that the public trusts.
The following is about the direction of audit operations.
First, we need to secure public sector accountability by establishing a diagnosis and evaluation system for major national policies and projects. The process of formulation and execution of major policies and projects, including reform tasks promoted by the government, should be monitored at all times to ensure that policy issues demanded by the people and necessary for national development are selected as tasks and properly executed to achieve results. Through such a system, the National Audit Office will have to play a central role in government reform in the future.
Second, the monitoring and supervision function must be strengthened to a new level to ensure that people’s taxes are not spent in vain. Internal control systems must be put in place to ensure the rationality of budget execution and the establishment of a transparent accounting order, accounting irregularities and irregularities must be dealt with strictly, and institutional obstacles, if any, must be drastically improved.
Third, the establishment of public service discipline is fundamental to national development. Corruption and irregularities in public offices should be dealt with through fundamental prescriptions, and the public should be actively corrected so that the public is not harmed by the acts and omissions of public officials.
Fourth, we should activate the National Audit Claims System to realize an audit office with the people. We should actively accept audit claims with the attitude of getting closer to the people, review the entire system to make it a higher level of rights relief, engage the public in the entire process of auditing, and ensure that the audit results are of practical use to the people.
Fifth, we will establish a system of support for the National Assembly to strengthen its policy capacity and budget and fiscal deliberation functions. We will systematically review the performance of major projects and budget execution to maximize support for the National Assembly’s deliberative activities, and we will reflect the National Assembly’s audit requirements in our audit operations.
In addition, we need to create a new productive and open audit culture. We must humbly accept criticisms of our conservative organizational culture and authoritarian behavior due to our critical function. We must change our closed and conservative organizational culture to an open and enterprising one, and listen seriously to the opinions of the audited public sector and solve problems together. The role of the National Audit Office is not only a check and balance function, but also an advisor to the national government. To provide the right advice, it is important to secure expertise along with an open organizational culture. We need a fair human resources management that values competence and achievements over seniority, and we believe that a comprehensive diagnosis and a fresh look at the organization, education, training, and human resources of the National Audit Office should be conducted.
We cannot evaluate and criticize the government’s reform measures without our own innovation, and I expect the self-dedicated efforts and leadership of the senior staff as well as the participation of all employees to transform the National Audit Office. I have always believed that the leadership of an organization must lead reforms to success through self-sacrificing initiatives, and I believe that a bright future for the National Audit Office is possible when such self-reflection and innovative efforts are pursued seriously.
Dear colleagues, I recognize that the nature of the job puts auditors in a position where they are more likely to be criticized than praised, but I urge you to take pride in monitoring the public service and evaluating national affairs, and to uphold high morals by always reflecting and cultivating yourselves. I ask each of you to be the “light” that illuminates our society and the “salt” that prevents corruption.
I hope that together with you, we will implement the points I have just mentioned with enthusiasm and sincerity, so that the National Audit Office will become an institution that stands with the people, an advisor to the government, and a bulwark of national order. Thank you.

Inaugural speech by an elementary school principal

Good afternoon, everyone. It is with great emotion that I greet you today on this momentous occasion. First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the faculty, staff, school management committee chairpersons, and parents for attending this meeting. Your interest and love for our school makes today’s meeting even more meaningful.
I started my teaching career as a teacher at ○○ Elementary School, served as an assistant principal at ○○ Elementary School, and now stand before you as principal. I still can’t forget the excitement and rewarding feeling of meeting children for the first time as a teacher. As an educator, I have watched them grow over the years, and I am reminded of the value of education, and I pledge to do my best to make ○○ Elementary School a place for further growth. I am very happy and honored to be able to walk a new path with you.
Education is not a one-man show, nor should it depend on the ideas of any one person. I believe that only when we all combine our ideas, expertise, passion, and sense of mission can we truly educate. In advanced countries, the word “respect” is always at the center of education. This is because it creates an environment where people respect each other and grow within it.
“Respect Yourself”
Respect yourself, value yourself! When you value yourself, you can value others. When people believe in their own potential and value what they do, we can create an educational environment where everyone is happy. I believe that helping students find their strengths and build confidence through them is one of the great goals of our education, and when all of our staff members grow to be professional and competent, this school will be able to reach the next level.
“Respect Others”
Respect others, value others! I respect the different teachers and parents, and I will listen to their voices. The diversity of our school and the different opinions of our staff will make our school grow in a better direction. Let’s make it a habit to greet each other with a bright face. When we greet children by looking at their bright faces, our hearts become younger. I would also like to emphasize the importance of communication and cooperation. I will be a good compromiser. The art of compromise lies in being able to make concessions, and when we respect others, we can become true compromisers. Such compromisers can lead happy lives, which will set a good example for children.
The most important thing in a community is communication. I will open my heart and listen to your voices, and I will communicate with you regularly to help your children grow up healthier. Furthermore, I will organize various opportunities for parents and teachers to actively participate in the development of our school. I am confident that if we can share your various opinions and ideas through these opportunities, our school will achieve greater growth in the future.
There is a saying, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together”. We are partners who will accompany the children of ○○ Elementary School in the global era and go a long way together to carry the future of our proud country. We will all have to work together to help our children grow into people with not only knowledge, but also love and care for people and the ability to communicate. When the passion of teachers, the interest and support of parents, and the efforts of the school come together, our children will gain the strength to move forward into the larger world.
Finally, I would like to thank the previous principal, staff, and many parents who actively supported me in my role as principal. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to my wife and loving daughter and son for their support. Without the support and encouragement of my family, I would not have made it to where I am today. With your support and encouragement, I promise to work harder and fulfill my responsibilities in my new role.
Thank you.

Principal’s inaugural speech

Good morning, everyone. I am Mr. ○○○, the new principal of ○○ High School, and I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of you who have gathered here to celebrate my inauguration. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to the school board members and other parents who have taken time out of their busy schedules to join us. Amidst your warm welcome and encouragement, I am deeply aware of my responsibilities and mission going forward, and I pledge to do my best on the path to creating a better and happier school.
Looking back, so much has happened in my ○○ years of teaching. The excitement and enthusiasm I felt when I took my first steps as a teacher still linger in my memory. Since then, I have had some fun, some rewarding, and sometimes unexpected challenges and setbacks, but I believe that every moment has made me grow and brought me to where I am today. I have tried not to forget my calling as an educator, remembering the encouraging looks in my students’ eyes and their heartfelt thanks whenever I have struggled.
One day last week, I saw a scene on the morning news about a teacher and a pupil, and the teacher said that they should be respected by their pupils and have faith in their colleagues. It was as if the scene was a message to me: Was I a teacher who was respected by my pupils? Was I a teacher who was respected by my students, trusted by my colleagues, and trusted by my parents? To be honest, I don’t have the confidence to say “yes,” but I promise to build on my experiences and become a better educator in the future.
I believe teaching is a calling from heaven, and while many people think of it as just teaching, I believe that true education is more than teaching, it is a process of sharing students’ lives and preparing for their future together. A teacher is not just a transmitter of knowledge, but a person who brings out the best in students and instills the right values in them, and this process requires deep understanding, patience, and authenticity. I believe that true education is about pointing students in the right direction without losing its meaning in a rapidly changing world.
In the future, I will do my best to create a school where students truly want to come to school, where teachers find teaching rewarding, and where parents feel safe entrusting their children to us, and this requires the cooperation of all members. I recognize that I cannot accomplish this goal alone, so I ask everyone here – students, teachers, and parents – to join me in this endeavor. Our school will be richer and stronger when we respect each other’s ideas and move forward together.
We need support and change to create a school that people want to come to, a school that students are proud of. We are planning new educational programs and enriching activities to help students gain more diverse experiences and discover their talents. We will also provide training and support to teachers to help them continue to grow professionally. We believe that the quality of education starts with teachers. We promise to provide the best environment for our teachers so that they can lead their students with more pride.
Finally, to be a school that you can trust and rely on, we will always communicate with you with an open mind. We will always listen to the voices of our students and reflect your valuable opinions in our school management. A school should be more than just an academic space, it should be a place where every student can dream and grow, and we will always work with you to achieve this.
If we all work together, ○○ High School will become the best educational institution in the world. Starting today, I hope you will join me in taking steps to further develop the school. Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your generous encouragement and cooperation, and I promise to walk alongside you.
Thank you.

Sample Principal Inauguration Speech

Hello, my name is ○○○, and I am the new principal of ○○ Elementary School in Seoul, Korea, and I feel immensely proud and rewarded to be in this position. As a member of our school family, it is a great honor to be here with over a hundred children, staff, parents, alumni, and community members. I would like to take this opportunity to greet you all as we look forward to making our school a warmer and more vibrant place.
Our school is not just a place to teach academics; it is where our children spend precious time discovering their dreams and building healthy personalities. Therefore, it should be a place to nurture their dreams and help them grow into the right kind of people who can live well in the future. To achieve this, teachers and students need to connect with each other in a heart-to-heart, genuine and personal way. Parents and community members need to believe in our school and work together for their children’s education. And our school should be a fun place where everyone wants to come and stay because it is “our school”.
Dear children, the hope of tomorrow! As your principal, I cherish this time of meeting with you for the first time today, and I would like to tell you that rather than simply saying “study hard,” I would like to say “find what you want to do, do not harm others, and have fun learning.” School is a place where you can fulfill your dreams. Whatever you want to do, I want you to do it without hurting others in the process, and to always think about the impact of your actions on others. I look forward to seeing you treat each other with respect and do your best to pursue your dreams.
Dear Parents and Community! In the past, we emphasized “one-line education,” where students were ranked by their scores, but now we need “multiple-line education,” where students play to their strengths in different fields. It’s important to create an environment where our children feel successful in their favorite fields, and where they can fully utilize their talents. Children are not their parents’ property; they have their own dreams and ideas. They may take a different path from their parents’ expectations, and they will live in a different world from the one we live in now. We ask you to support them in making their own choices and growing up.
Education is not just the role of schools alone; it requires the complementary roles of families and society to work together to help children grow. The wealth of experience and diverse knowledge of parents and community members is a valuable resource that can enrich school education and fill in the gaps. With the idea that “every child in our village is raised by all of us together,” everyone will need to pull together to help children grow up healthy.
Children, teachers, parents, alumni, and local residents, we are all members of the community of ○○ Elementary School, and we are all one family. Let’s work together to build a school that you want to transfer to, a town that you want to move to, and a village that you want to live in. I will do my best to make this school a stepping stone to fulfill your dreams and a happy place to learn. Finally, as your principal, I promise to listen to your opinions, think deeply about them, and create a school that will always grow together. Thank you.

Principal’s inaugural speech

Dear teachers, parents, and beloved students, it is my sincere pleasure to take up the position of principal of this school and to study and work with you. I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my resolutions and to think about the future of ○○ Middle School.
First, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the previous principals and teachers who have served before me, and I promise that I will do my best to help you grow and improve our school.
However, I cannot do this alone; it is a collaborative effort between me, the teachers, parents, and every student in this room. When our school community is united and pulling in the same direction, we can accomplish more. I liken it to a tug-of-war: when the blue and white teams are each pulling their weight, the string is unbreakable, but when one team pulls in a different direction, the harmony is broken. In the same way, if we work together as a team, our progress will be even greater.
I would like to take this opportunity to share with you a few principles that I believe in.
First, as a young person, you need to grow up right. You are at a critical time in your life when your body and mind are growing. A healthy body will motivate you in your studies and life, but your mental health is equally important. To this end, the school offers a variety of physical education activities and health programs, and we hope that you will actively participate in them to help you grow up healthy in both body and mind. The “healthy growth” we aim for is more than just a strong body; it is also about cultivating a positive self and balanced emotions.
Second, we want you to have an attitude of learning hard, working hard, and playing hard. This is a time of strong motivation and great enthusiasm for learning. Whether you’re aiming to go to an advanced school or you’re thinking about your future career, I hope you’ll be eager to study for the future. At the same time, we want them to develop habits of service and social responsibility. Participating in various activities that you can do on your own and acting responsibly in small ways will be a great asset during this time.
Third, cultivate a well-rounded personality through a variety of experiences. I emphasize the phrase “play hard,” because I want you to live a life enriched by a variety of experiences and hobbies, not just by studying. Hobbies enrich our lives, foster our creativity, and give us quality time that will last a lifetime. Whether it’s artistic endeavors, sports, or reading, I encourage you to find your own interests and enjoy them.
Finally, I would like to emphasize the importance of responsibility and collaboration. School is not a place to study alone, but a community that we build together with our teachers, friends, and even our parents. We will face new challenges and tasks every day, and we will grow. Sometimes we will disagree, sometimes we will make mistakes, but if we respect each other’s ideas and work together, we can overcome any difficulties.
So, my dear students, parents, and teachers, we start anew. Let’s listen to each other and take small steps to make our school better. Let’s make ○○ Middle School a place where we can dream together and fulfill our dreams together. I hope we can work together and turn our dreams into reality.
Thank you.

Sample Principal’s Inaugural Speech

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. ○○○, the chairman of the school management committee, Mrs. ○○○, the chairman of the school management committee, Mr. ○○○, the chairman of the alumni association, and other guests and parents for taking the time out of their busy schedules to be here today. Seeing the bright and confident faces of the students gives me even more strength and great expectations. As I think about the future with you, I strengthen my resolve to further develop our school.
I stand here today with a great responsibility as a principal to teach students to live a true life. I believe that education is not just about imparting knowledge, but also about realizing the essence of life and building human character. To this end, I will focus on character education, which recaptures the essence of education and builds human character, and creativity education, which synthesizes, applies, and reinvents knowledge information. I will spare no effort to provide students with all the support they need so that they can design their own lives with the right character and creative thinking skills.
I will utilize my knowledge and experience to fulfill my role as a school administrator. I will always anticipate the future and present a vision for our school to become a school where students, teachers, and parents can grow as one, and I will take the lead in creating a new school culture through democratic and professional leadership. I will be a principal who constantly strives and researches to keep up with the times so that our school can continue to change and develop.
You, the students, are the owners of our school, and you are the agents of your own learning. I will create an atmosphere where you can think, set goals, and collaborate with your teachers in the process of learning and growing on your own. Therefore, I will encourage you to be intellectually curious and excited about learning, to be self-directed in your studies, and to showcase your talents and abilities through extracurricular activities, enrichment programs, and classroom activities. This will provide you with the opportunity to grow through experiences that go beyond mere learning. School should be a stage for this growth, and I hope that all the experiences and learning that takes place here will be a valuable foundation for your future.
We all have different abilities. You must believe in your own abilities and have the confidence to say, “I can do this as well as anyone else.” You must always have a positive self-concept, like and respect yourself first, and develop the courage and drive to not be afraid of failure. I will be in close contact with you, listening to your thoughts and opinions, discussing and thinking with you, and creating valuable time to learn more about what you really want to achieve and what your future holds.
You are fortunate to be learning from talented and dedicated teachers in a school with a history and tradition, located in a place with good mountain air and good mountain water. I will take on the responsibility of making sure that you are able to study in such a special environment. I urge you to always respect your teachers, appreciate their teaching, prepare hard, and become the people this society needs. I promise to support you, along with your teachers, to achieve the goals we dream of together, and I sincerely wish you success and growth.
This concludes my inaugural address. Thank you.

Middle School Principal’s Inaugural Speech

Good morning, everyone, it is with great honor and a deep sense of responsibility that I greet you today on this momentous occasion. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you for blessing my inauguration and welcoming me with your warm hearts despite my shortcomings. As I stand in this position, I am filled with a heavy sense of commitment to the future of this school and the growth of our students.
First, I would like to reflect together on the role of our middle schools. Middle school is more than just a place where students build academic knowledge; it is a critical place of learning, where they shape the way they see themselves and the world. We are the ones planting the seeds of their future, and just as a tree grows strong roots, these young people are learning the fundamental values that make them who they are and the big picture of life. What our middle schools should be teaching them at this critical time is not just how to score well on tests, but how to live a healthy and harmonious life.
Nowadays, we hear a lot of concerns and worries about middle school education in our society. Over time, middle school has lost its educational function and is increasingly perceived as a place to compete to get into a good high school. As a result, children lose the joy of the learning process and often suffer solely from competition and grade pressure. I believe that the greatest responsibility of educators is to alleviate this anxiety and fear in the eyes of children.
My vision is to make this school a “community of learners” where we can help each other and grow together, rather than compete unnecessarily. A certain amount of hard work and self-discipline will be required to get into high school, but we need to stop putting so much pressure on students as if that’s all there is. School shouldn’t be a temporary institution to pass an entrance exam, but rather a place of learning to help a person grow as a whole person. This process of shaping one’s self while respecting others is the true discipline we should be teaching our children. Let’s make this school a welcoming community where we can learn to love our friends and neighbors, not a spartan admissions institution.
I’d like to take a moment to share a story that emphasizes the importance of unity: the story of the bird with two heads. The two heads have different perspectives and start to argue. Over time, the two heads eventually try to feed each other harmful poison to get rid of each other, but because two heads are one body, they end up killing themselves. This story teaches an important lesson for today’s hyper-competitive society. If we focus on tearing each other down and being jealous, success will never be the only thing we have left. Schools, in particular, should be a place where children learn cooperation and friendship, not competition, before they go out into the world.
Students should be able to discover the joy of learning and the precious values of life in the company of their dearest friends. To this end, I and our teachers will work tirelessly to support each student’s growth and help them find their true path to self-actualization.
For the healthy growth and success of our students, I cannot do it alone. We need the cooperation and support of our teachers, parents, and community to make our school a true place of togetherness and harmony. With your support and encouragement of our students’ dreams, our school will become a welcoming place where we nurture bright leaders of tomorrow, not just compete.
Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you for taking time out of your busy schedules to be here with us, and I promise you that I am sincerely committed to every step of the journey we will take together from today. I wish you good health and family happiness, and with that, I conclude my inaugural remarks. Thank you.

Middle School Principal Inaugural Greetings

hello. Greetings to the entire ○○ Middle School educational family. Today is a beautiful autumn day. The color of the sky is clear and transparent as if paint had been released, and it stretches high and blue beyond reach. In this season when the sky is high and beautiful, I am reminded of the day when Korea took its first steps into the world under the name of Joseon. With a long history that stems from the myth of Dangun, our people have lived on the Korean Peninsula for thousands of years, building the Republic of Korea into what it is today. Our school, too, has been rooted and grown over this time.
Although ○○ Middle School has only been in existence for five years, we have been able to grow and develop so steadily because we have received the hard work and support of many people within the strong walls of the Republic of Korea. The students, faculty, parents, and community that make up our school community have been caring for each other and fulfilling their responsibilities, making it possible for us to be where we are today. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
Today, I stand before you with a tremendous responsibility to lead our students to the core competencies required in a 21st century knowledge-based society. Today’s society demands not only knowledge and skills, but also a well-rounded person with character and skills. People with character are those who practice the values of love, caring, and sharing, and people with skills are those who create new knowledge through creative thinking. In response to these societal needs, I would like to set our school’s vision as ‘Nurturing talented people who practice love, caring, and sharing, and who fulfill their dreams through creativity’.
Our school motto, “Dream, Love, and Creativity,” captures this vision. To realize this mantra, I will undertake the following goals and efforts.
First, I will create a curriculum that enables all members of the school community to share and live the school’s vision together. I will create a personalized learning environment that allows students to reach their full potential and experience the joy of learning. I will ensure that students are intellectually curious and confident in their education.
Second, we will create an open community where students, teachers, and parents communicate and cooperate with each other. Understanding and consideration for each other is important in education. To this end, we will create a culture of cooperation that is the foundation for school development by creating a place of harmony through formal and informal meetings, where we can share our thoughts through dialogue and compromise. We will also strive to improve the system to create a learning environment where not only students’ human rights but also teachers’ human rights and teaching rights are respected.
Third, we will strengthen career education to help students shape their future careers and dreams. Modern society is constantly changing, and it is important for students to understand the diverse world of work and discover their interests and aptitudes. Therefore, we will provide opportunities for career exploration and actively support students to design and prepare for their own futures.
Fourth, we will strive to help students develop self-directed learning skills. In an era of rapidly changing knowledge and technology, students need to be empowered to take control of their own learning. To this end, we will introduce a variety of learning programs to help students learn autonomously and proactively, and teachers will be available to advise and assist them along the way.
Finally, I would like to ask for the continued interest and support of parents and the community. Today’s education cannot be provided by schools alone, and only when the community and parents work together can students develop the right values and competencies. In addition, I and my staff are always open to listen to your thoughts and opinions and to communicate with you. I hope that we can work together to ensure that school education contributes to the community and, more importantly, to the future of our country.
In closing, I would like to say a word of encouragement to our students. You should pursue your dreams by doing what you love, what you are good at, and what you value. Cherish your dreams because they are unique to you, and work diligently to fulfill them. Your small efforts today will one day lead to your big future.
Thank you.

Greetings from the inaugural club president

Good evening, dear members.
I am very happy to be here today to greet you. The other day, I was ordering a coffee at a cafe and was a little embarrassed to hear the waitress say, “A cappuccino costs 6,000 won.” I was surprised to see that even an inanimate object, coffee, is treated with respect. It was a familiar and odd feeling to be treated with respect, even for an inanimate object, and it’s something we see all the time in our lives. For example, the friendly salesperson who says, “Just sign up, and you’re covered,” is another example. Perhaps it’s our desire to emphasize kindness by using respectful language in everything that leads to this linguistic excess.
Hangeul Day is coming up in a few days. Every time Hangeul Day comes around, it makes me reflect on how much we really understand and love the language. I want our expression to be more than just an annual greeting, so today I’d like to take a moment to remind myself and you of the language and mindset we use.
Today is a very special day for me. I humbly accept this honor of being called upon to serve as your Fellowship President. The ○○ Club has become more than just a gathering, it has become a precious fence of support and encouragement for each other, and I pledge to strive with all my passion and sincerity to serve it and each other’s hopes. With you in my corner, I will do my best to make this a place of joy and happiness for all of you.
Our chapter is also entering a time of maturity. Our goal this year is simple: to create a gathering full of memories and happiness. The most important value of our gathering is “fellowship.” But what is fellowship? Fellowship is the friendship that comforts us in times of trouble, shares in our joys, and stands by us in times of need, sometimes without words. It reminds me of how precious it is to be able to get away from the tangled web of interests and gather for the sole purpose of fellowship.
Not long ago, we all rushed to offer our condolences to member ○○○ when he lost his father. We were there for one reason and one reason only. Our meetings like this are not for any purpose or gain; they are for genuine friendship, solidarity, and caring for each other in a very noble way. I am truly grateful to you for the opportunity to represent this gathering.
I will do my best to make this a gathering that you look forward to and a gathering that you are happy to be a part of. I hope that my presence will further energize our organization and that we will continue to serve each other.
Thank you again, and I hope that today will be a happy memory for all of us. Yours sincerely
